Whilst staying in the area we were looking for somewhere dog friendly to visit for lunch, and as this place looked nice from outside we thought we’d give it a try. From the moment we entered the staff were very friendly and accommodating. The food was also delicious, especially the sharer that we had for starters. I thought that the food was good value for money and would have liked to have visited again, but unfortunately our trip came to an end the following day.

This is a good pub with very friendly staff who remember what I have to drink on every occasion I visit. They do a lot for charity and host a lot of events for different causes. However there is a small group of people who let the place down with their use of their controversial use of other recreational chemicals. However, the staff as soon as they know act upon it promptly and discreetly. It is a good place to go for a drink and the prices are good and it is a very sociable venue with excellent entertainment.

A nice brew pub which is large inside, there is the bar area and a restaurant around the back. We reserved a table for the evening, but there were only a few people in there so it suited us, the other bar area was busy with families. The food was good and the beer was also good. A few selections of different beers but not as many as advertised on their site. The beauty was, we camped at the back so it was ideal. The steam train runs along the back of the site. There is a garden around the back with seating.

Dropped in for a cake and coffee while in mold. Coffee is very average as is the dry cake I had. The girls are more interested in discussing gossip about their friends than actually doing their job. Average cafe with awful service. Plenty of nicer don't waste your money.

My friend and I got there at just gone 12.15 and I ordered a jacket potato .. sold out !!! ... I asked for a salad.. no salads available.. I then asked for a gluten free sandwich.. sorry no gluten free bread defrosted.. 🙆myself and another lady behind me who I didn't know.. she was also gluten free .. both of us celiacs couldn't get anything other than the soup.. totally unacceptable in this day and age .. then to top it all my friend wanted the cottage pie and was told that was sold out.. this was 12 15 pm .. We are regular customers as it's handy and used to be really good but meals are selling out on a regular basis by 12.30... the management need to be looking into this.. especially as on some days they can have 2 coaches there on day trips..

Stopped for breakfast in the cafe, it was lovely. The small breakfast is big enough for most! Cafe clean, staff friendly and importantly the toilets were very clean. Highly recommended 👍

Lovely room with old books and comfy seating, mixed so you can look out onto the gardens or have a cosy corner. Staff excellent and friendly. Probably not the best time to have an evening meal but wanted a change from the restaurant and nothing open in Ruthin Boxing Day. Rarebit was burnt at the corners and when my son complained he was told that was how it came.

Expensive drinks, no food, no atmosphere. Tried it after giving it a miss since Covid, wish I had not bothered. Declining from the standard it used to be with busy bar and good pub food. Such a pity the management have let it become so run down.
