If there was a ZERO rating, that would be great!! Went there today with a friend - we are locals - not Holidaymakers. Fish, chips & mushy peas for me. The fish was so curled up, it looked like it had been dropped into red hot oil and was trying to escape!? Chips were frozen kind, but fat chips which I like, rather than fries. However, the whole meal was COLD! Most unenjoyable! I asked for a refund, and was given one without hesitation. Just be aware..::

We had a groupon meal deal here with Pizza and sides, I was very impressed with the meal, service was good and staff very friendly and drinks were fairly priced. I've since bought another couple of groupon's and will definately be back soon.

Me and my family came here for a meal as we couldn’t be bothered cooking in the caravan that night, when we first arrived I thought about Turing around and leaving as when we got there, there was wrappers all over the front empty plates, seagulls and broken glass I was too hungry to leave though and just went in out of hunger, we got inside the place stunk of beer and sweat maybe from the carpet that looked as if it hadn’t been cleaned in a decade, staff were miserable and looked like they had something stuck up their backside, especially a girl called Demi with blonde highlights she was giving everyone dirty looks from behind the bar as if she wasn’t part of the team,, then to talk about the food when it came out from the kitchen a young man served us with ginger hair and he was very rude to be given out food that wasn’t very appealing tasted bland and was luke warm, the place needs a dam good clean and some new staff I’ll leave it there good luck to anyone arriving for a ((nice meal)) !!!!

7 of us had a great time here!! We loved the outdoor area and the set up was beautiful with an abroad feel to it. Crazy golf was fab and staff so friendly. Food was great-couple of items missing but they were busy so I wouldn't drop them a point for that. My daughter has nut allergy and they were thorough and careful in preparing her food. Thankyou Jakes. I will return and recommend!

Really cool and trndy outdoor beach bsr,u can have heaters on once sun goes down.friendly staff who also made nice mocktails fir daughter.we will be back.

This will of been our 4th time of visiting in 2022. Great site, and the food at Jake's is reasonably priced, tasty and served quickly with a smile. Evening at Jake's, they have great entertainment, and children's dances, games, children's bingo, adults bingo, live entertainment and disco. Ryan the Host does all this with a big friendly smile, gets everyone involved. Looking forward to coming back in April! See you all again soon!

My family and I came on holiday for 10 nights back in August. Each night there was entertainment provided. Whether that was bingo, singing acts both solo and duos and magicians, with entertainment also provided for children. There was also entertainment provided outside for the people that wanted to sit out in the beach bar during the warm periods. Credit must be given to the host of entertainment in Jakes, Ryan and the rest of the bar staff and security team. Would definitely recommend.

This is not the first time that we have visited. Each time it seems to get better. From the food, service and entertainment for both adults and children and the new beach bar that sets the scenery, along with mini golf and the outdoor play area for children. The bar staff, security staff and Ryan the host played a big part in our experience and I will definitely be coming again.

We visited here during a family holiday to Wales. We sat in a booth outdoors which was lovely. We had a really tasty meal, a wide selection on the menu something for everyone which was great. Lovely experience and the staff were super friendly and helpful.

Dont even think they read these reviews, been an owner for a long time and never had any problems before but since covid their policies have changed and changed again. We always bring cash with us as we find it just easier for us to use but for a while now its card only, why? Money is a legal currency and elderly customers can get confused using card payment so think this should be looked at. The other bug bearer for us is not being allowed to have our dog inside or at the new beach bar with us we are shoved to the back of the beach bar out the way or have to sit the other side by the main road with all the noise.I wouldn’t mind but our dog is better behaved than half the kids there jumping all over the furniture screaming and shouting while their parents get drunk and not give a damn. Responsible owners who have dogs like me control their dogs and they just sit there on their lead😳 Site fees helped to pay for the upgrades so as a company I think that we should be allowed to have our pets with us at the venues and not be shoved into corners like lepers. The food is quite ok but can get cold really quick with being forced to sit outside

Came here as a friend has a caravan on the site, clean fresh inside, friendly staff and security. Wasn't busy so we got a table for 8 there and then. Play area free for kids, crazy golf was £4 a round my daughter said it was boring but that's probably her taste. Drinks reasonably priced, food is OK... kids had chicken nuggets and chips x2, they said they enjoyed this and would have it again. I had burger with added extra pot of BBQ sauce and crispy onions, this meal was lovely can't fault it only thing was £1 extra for tiniest pot of sauce and crispy onions which I think should be a bit bigger and garlic naan bread, my daughter wanted one but she didn't eat it as she said this was hard. Apart from that overall this place is 9/10. Only thing I didn't ask was parking if I want to come again which I would, where is there to park?

Came to play bingo just want to say one table seemed to know staff from the bingo caller , security guy & club staff. While waiting for the game all these staff stood talking to this group at there table. The lady playing bingo on this table won three times out of six games . I don't think it looked good staff mixing with customers in this kind of situation.

We went here for food and sat outside in a cabin.There is enough room inside to have a dog friendly area , we had to sit outside which was quiet so managed to get a booth but in the height of summer it would be too busy, our food was lovely but went cold quickly outside, It was not busy inside so they could of set a section for people like us with a dog.... most places nowadays allow dogs but not here so a little disappointed.

Great bar great staff especially Sarah always goes the extra mile only ask if there was a table available she said as soon as one comes available i will give you a shout true to her word she sure did. Thanks once again for a great night

We have been coming to Jake's for years with our grandchildren and we have always enjoyed the entertainment for the children before the adult entertainment. We visited on Friday evening and had a gorgeous meal, so we will recommend the food but nothing on at all to entertain the children. We ended up going back to the caravan as they were bored. Come on Jake's it's school holidays, amuse the kids and then we would stay in Jake's and spend more!!

Had a lovely time at Jakes. Nice food, great entertainment and very friendly staff, especially Sarah who made sure we were never without a drink.

Visited on a Friday afternoon with my girlfriend for the second time and was not impressed. Firstly, was met by a rude staff member named Ben who looked unbothered and bored, didn’t greet us, and made no effort whatsoever. After we found our own table, he came over to ask if we ‘knew what we wanted’, despite not having been given any menus. After asking he threw them down on the table and walked away. Most of the staff appeared untrained, few of them were kind. We saw a new staff member being ‘trained’ but it seemed rushed. After my card didn’t go through due to the signal of the card machine, Ben came outside and loudly shouted that my card had been declined, which I thought was rude and unprofessional. Food wasn’t much to marvel at, my girlfriend’s chicken burger was plain and my scampi unseasoned. Food didn’t have much, if any, flavour overall. After requesting for seasoning, we were given empty pepper packets, so we were still left with bland food. Jakes poor excuse for a restaurant and should probably focus on the ‘Bar’ Element more than the restaurant because I could buy better food from Aldi. Only go here if you’re looking for Weatherspoon’s quality at double the price.

We own a static caravan on golden gate. We eat and drink at jakes very often and never had a problem with anything. The food and drinks are to a high standard. But best of all are the brilliant staff. April, Ash, Sarah and Claire are brilliant. They are always happy welcome you with a big smile. April love's to sing and dance which makes everyone laugh. We called here twice why we have been on holiday, the first time was very good, but the second time was not.

So, we have just returned from Jake's Family Restaurant and Bar having had a Roast Beef dinner. OMG it was absolutely gorgeous. The beef was so tender and the roast potatoes were to die for. Overall the meal and the special dessert was lovely. The staff are very polite and professional, and very attentive particularly the lovely girl who served us. So a big thankyou to Jake's. Keep up the good work.

Came across Jakes Family Bar, whilst staying in a Caravan across from here, This Bar was nice, warm with very Polite and Friendly Staff, give us a little bit of advice and information Drink prices was normal prices, and food was nice too, If your in the area, and looking for a friendly Bar We would recommend you Trying this Family BarI would say I will go back one day, but don’t think We will stay in this area again, Thanks Again

We went to Jake's on Thursday 31st October.....Halloween.There was nothing for the children. You would not of known it was Halloween at all. On the activity poster it stated that there was Family Bingo, a race night and adult Bingo. When there was nothing on we asked the bar staff they said they would contact the entertainment team. Then they came back to say the entertainment team had decided not to put anything on. So we did complain.There were a few families in Jake's so we spoke to them they all said they had come in for the entertainment so most of them started to leave. There we 8 of us and we were all spending money on drinks. Once we knew that they had cancelled the entertainment we all left and went somewhere else to spend our money. As we were leaving people were coming into Jake's so we told them not to bother going in. Jake's must be losing money. We are owners and like most other owners we have now started to use other pubs like the Cambria, the Moeton and Millers as the drinks are half the price of Jake's and Golden Gate and if they say they have entertainment on then it is definitely on. I would recommend that people dont waste their time going in to Jake's and go elsewhere.

Music is far too loud for a lunchtime. You can't talk to each other over booming music, I wear hearing aids and can't wear them in there, I have to wear ear plugs because of booming music, think about the children's ears for the future it could cause deafness. Also I had a sandwich for lunch which wasn't nice at all, Stale bread with a soggy patch on it that shouldn't have been on it, cooked meals are nice like Sunday lunch but salads and sandwiches need overhaul as panini's come out cold and salad isn't fresh. Regarding the music I appreciate you are a family bar but please be considerate for people wanting to eat lunch and have a conversation especially at lunchtime. Also food takes ages coming out even when it's not busy.

Stayed in whitehouse leisure park so jakes was handy for us as it was on the site ,food is lovely nice park and play area inside for kids entertainments good only downside were the drinks were a bit expensive

I visit here often and enjoy a drink here so decided to try the food. Service was ok could be better, the staff could clean the tables a little quicker as there were lots of tables with empty dishes and glasses just sitting there. The food came out and it was ok nothing special just pub food. Will still go in and have a drink

We stayed at sister park next door Golden Gate but could never get a seat so tended to go hear much more seating and food was nice too.

I have visited Jakes bar more than once as we have a caravan on Whitehouse Leisure Park Good family bar, with kids play area, good food, entertainment, also have bingo. Staff very nice and friendly Would recommend jakes

Myself my partner and daughter have been coming into jakes for the best part of 2 years. My daughter loves the play area and we have always thought the food and drink are good price but i dont think i will be returning next year as one staff member in particular has made a few of our visits pretty unbearable her Name is Gemma not sure of surname? She has no manners is rude and cannot smile. There was one occasion where i ordered food for my nephew and the meal was wrong. I told the member of staff who brought the food order and she then told Gemma the meal was wrong in which Gemma then proceeded to our table with 3 children to argue the fact that was what i ordered. ( this not being the case and i very much recall what i ordered) tutted and muttered something under her breath and walked away. I have worked in the pub/restaurant industry for 20 years and believe me ive seen some poor staff but have never been spoken to like that. Its a shame as your place is such a great place to bring children but until you look at your staff we will not be returning (As there were a few other staff that need training in manners, smiling and good customer service)

A regular in this pub at the weekend during summer season for a couple on pints of ice cold Heineken. Staff ok and the food is good pub grub. Shows football on plenty of screens. A little kids play area inside keeps the kids busy if the weathers poor or a little park outside near to seating area so kids can play and you can keep an eye on them. Beer not too expensive £4.10 pint. But if you say "and yours" to some bar staff they take a pound every time!!

The Food here is over priced and not very nice. And doesn’t have a wide range of veggie options. The food was dry and not very flavoursome for the price.

Just home from a week in Towyn, lovely site and Jake's venue was great. Fab entertainment, reasonably priced and fantastic food. Very welcoming and great for families.

Stopped in here for lunch. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Had a lovely sunday roast here with my family as we were looking to buy a static in the Whitehouse. Fresh veg with our meal and decent prices. We have now bought our holiday home here on Plot A21. Looking forward to having a nice meal in Jakes this opening weekend.

This is a great place to get food and it’s good too. There is a play area for kids and you can sit outside or indoors. There is also entertainment on a weekend and is a family friendly pub.

Top food and good beer friendly staff also good entertainment on the night what more could you ask for

I can say no more than the holiday park and Jakes bar is great but the DJ Chris is rude and nasty to children and adults. We can’t understand why he would be working in such an environment, he obviously hates his job and people.

Really wouldn't recommend this place to anyone, its on a nice campsite but staff was rude and didn't smile once, I asked for a high chair and had to go and find one myself with a baby in my arms! Food was awful and dry, wouldn't go again!

I first visited this family bar a couple of years ago and it was not very nice just a normal sea side bar around many nothing spectacular at all, if anything a little bit scruffy and a little bit dirty,But surprise surprise we went to watch the air show in Rhyl and got fed up of the traffic so stopped here just for a drink , we were totally impressed by what has being done the bar has been refitted the whole place is 100% better now we even stayed for food which was really good the staff were very nice and made you feel welcome ( last time they just grunted at you) the place was exceptionally clean , the only gripe i would say is it is all open inside now so when your eating food there are kids running around your table when eating which is a little off putting, but its great to be able to take your kids with you and they enjoy them selves with the arcade machines and a internal play area. so i would like to say to the manager keep up the good work we will be back many times to come. and just found out that they do a deal on food if you go to a certain offer website mon to fri so that makes the food really good prices 2 people 2 courses 15 pounds not bad at all and as for the drink prices its around the norm for eating out , and when we visited the place was packed with outdoor inflatables for the kids ,

Our van is situated on the white house park. Went here for drinks, looks nice it's been refurbed. Price for drinks is ok. Didn't try food yet as it was a Saturday nite and was full of kids on holidays.

we have been staying at the whitehouse caravan park so we thought we would eat at jakes bar, we had looked on line at the prices and thought they were ok when we went in to order their were more staff than customers and we found the prices were more expensive than it said on the internet with fish and chips costing £9 we decided to go else where, we found another food outlet doing two meals for £12. I think jakes needs to do similar offers to get customers.

Expensive food not good quality and small portions.Drinks expensive £1.80 for a child's fruit shoot (you can get 8 in asda for £2).we have used this place a lot over the years as we have a caravan in towyn but no more will we or our friends be going again. No wonder there was only half a dozen people in.

Went here on Saturday evening (5:30pm) not too late. Firstly greeted with a group of smokers at the door, I feel that with this being a place where children are made to feel welcome, there should be a designated smoking area. Ordered a children's meal of sausage and chips which came with a drink, I was advised it was coke or raspberry, full fat coke for a child?! I asked to swap this for lemonade as my child cannot have coke it upsets her tummy, and was told "no, coke or raspberry". As a treat when we eat out, my child has a lemonade. I then said ok, Well can I pay for an extra lemonade to again be told, it doesn't come with a lemonade. After getting the manager he agreed this once to substitute the coke. I then asked for a side of coleslaw, which wasn't on the sides menu, but came with burgers so I didn't think this would be an issue again willing to pay, yet again the manager was called over and I was told "just this once". The food came, and yet again, NO LEMONADE, had the exact same issue with the waitress who again went to the manager and came back with, "we wont be doing this again just so you know for next time" I had chicken with cheese and BBQ sauce, the chicken was undercooked and chips were hard. The only saving grace was the play area. we left as soon as we had all finished and will not be returning any time soon.

Wanted to have a family dinner here and looked at the menu online first , the menu looked fantastic and we all chose our meals. When we arrived , 2 men smoking at the entrance and swearing . Not a good start for a family pub. The place was empty ! The menu had changed with just one veggie choice ... That's it ... Pasta & Mushrooms not even a veggie salad !!! We walked out !!

Been going to Jakes for many years now, and were pleasantly surprised when we popped in to find it's been refurbished. There is a play area for smaller children, candy floss making machine that my 10 year old loved, and a much brighter and cleaner interior. Good service, music and a relaxing atmosphere. We sat outside in the sunshine and enjoyed the sea air. Can't wait for the Summer to really kick in, and no doubt we'll spend some more time here.

Since new managment have taken over the food is beautiful only downfall is it is a little over priced so not so good for families but not to bad if you are a couple out for a treat as steak meal is around £15 which is quite alot compared to other places in towyn.But it is a nice steak.

Really disappointed with our recent visit to Jakes. We have been regular visitors over the years and have always had good value good quality food with a varied menu but recently the quality has really dipped and the choice on the menu has diminished. The management do need a rethink

Went here Saturday for a meal. Had the combination sharer for 2 but would have done 4. Well presented, well cooked, nice staff, had a conversation with usxxx returned on the Sunday for the carvery, could not fault it, freshly cooked veg, home made roast and yorkies, and very generous with the meat xxx. Yes it's a bit dated, but we have been told they are renovating. Would recommend this to all my friends xxx

Traditional pub food menu with specials as well. Good value for money and the staff were very pleasant. Went there on the Saturday evening and when we went again during the week It was closed which was disappointing.

Very outdated dark dingy..place needs renovating...too small clubhouse site..didnt look nice...didnt eat there after we found out chippy was closed because found cockroaches...put us off...needs bringing up-to-date...

I have been here lots of times over the past 2 or 3 years and I have never had a bad meal. Service is good, waiting times good and price good.
