Annemarie and Rob are such friendly host! No effort was too much to create a marvelous experience for us. We walked the Offa’s Dayke Path and had our best sleep and bedfast at the Tafarn y Wean. Beds are very comfy and clean and we had a choice of 3 kinds of breakfast. We choose the scrambled eggs with salmon and also the granola yoghurt and croissant. Both were delicious and kept us on our feet the whole way to Prestatyn

Avoid this restaurant worst food i've ever experienced, stayed at the hotel for two nights due to attending a funeral at the hotel so obviously on checking in we wanted to eat dinner. I ordered Chicken Kiev with Caesar salad & fries my partner had Belly Pork both were inedible complained and was offered 10% off the bill. Breakfast wasn't much better very disappointing as hotel & staff were very nice. We ate out on our second night really don't know how this place gets 4*

Absolutely beautiful food and a huge portion, fantastic value for money! Staff are fantastic and friendly! Will definitely be visiting again, the outside has been fully renovated and will be fabulous in summer!

Stayed and ate here after escaping from a terrible nearby campsite. The room was cheap for such short notice and was surprisingly posh, although the absence of a wardrobe was a bit annoying. As to the food, it's fine for what it is. There's a fairly limited set menu and the portions aren't massive by Welsh standards, but it was all very well done and the service was quick and efficient. A good budget choice.

The Queen Victoria is under new'ish management (Nov '24). But has kept the same friendly team of staff, plus a few new staff, who all go out of their way to ensure you enjoy your visit, whether it is just for a drink or two, or dinner. We had dinner here a few weeks ago and both thoroughly enjoyed our food and the welcoming atmosphere. Thanks Darren & Emma, Dave, James, Kieran, Abi, Ebony, Maz & Tia. Keep up the great work. See you soon! Jules xx

We visited on Easter Saturday and was pleasantly surprised that we were able to get a table (granted it was 230pm, so we probably missed the lunchtime rush) The lunch menu was extensive and proportions were really big. Food was very tasty and I can highly recommend the pub for eating and even if you just want a pint. There was a little miscommunication at the bar, and my partners order was incorrectly taken, however, they promptly swapped it for the correct order no questions asked and we did not have to wait too long either. I had the cod burger, as you can see from the photo it was not small!

Our daughter phoned a month ago then a week ago then Saturday afternoon to check the booking. On Saturday afternoon she was told we were having 2 tables. On arrival our table was occupied. We had to wait for 35 minutes, standing by the bar.My husband is nearly 79 and has a bad back and uses a walking stick! We couldn,t move the tables together as one was circular. Disappointing!!!! The Korma was so mild it was tasteless!!
