Swallows Nest in Conwy

Absolutely beautiful food and a huge portion, fantastic value for money! Staff are fantastic and friendly! Will definitely be visiting again, the outside has been fully renovated and will be fabulous in summer!

Amazing place. Staff were really busy but so accommodating to me and my one year old. As a pub manager I know how hard it can be with children running everywhere and not knowing how many people turn through the door. But the young lady behind the bar and young gentleman showed maturity beyond their years. Beautiful food too. Thank you 😊 ❤️

Had an amazing meal at this restaurant, I went for the Welsh steak and Conwy ale pie and it was delicious I could not fault it. They had the essentials on the kids menu e.g. nuggets, spaghetti, pizza, both my kids had clean plates so I think they were satisfied with their meals 😂 They also have an indoor and outdoor play area for the children which they loved and I struggled to get them out of. It is very well decorated and has a great atmosphere. The staff are lovely and very accommodating, the service was great. They also have a beautiful pub garden which had a very chilled atmosphere and was the perfect place to have a couple of drinks in the sun. Would highly recommend this restaurant to everyone.

Visited here while we were caravanning through North Wales, brilliant family venue with the play areas, indoor and outdoor. Dog friendly in areas inside too which was nice.. Good menu. Polite staff. Happy to accommodate menu. Pint of Carlsberg was around £3.50, Guinness and Peroni on tap too. Loved the chocolate pudding.

We have a seasonal pitch here, Very nice venue dog friendly,nice staff and very clean, we love to visit the swallows nest, however the menu is very limited for my wife who is vegetarian so if you are yourself think about eating before you visit.

Great set up, clean venue and excellent facilities for children. It’s a shame that the food was mediocre at best and the service was a shambles, it took 1.5hrs for our mains to arrive.

We went here is a group of 4 adults and 4 children all 5 and under. Food was very good apart from the kids mash potato and prices about average compared to similar places. The kids eat free on certain days and there are good play areas both indoor and outdoor which was a bonus. Will definitely be returning and would recommend based on my experience.

Came here with family for tea. Food came out very fast and was very tasty. Everyone enjoyed their food. Children enjoyed the play area inside and out. Staff were great and very helpful. Food and drinks very reasonably priced

we were worried after seeing such bad reviews... we didn't need to be worried at all. The staff were very friendly and couldn't do enough for you, the food was great we all had roast dinners and the halloumi starter was amazing!! the kids pay area indoors is a great great sell and the outdoor park is great too. 10/10 loved it

We just had the best evening here. The staff were great and the food was lovely x it was amazing food. The thing that made it for us was the kids play area. We were able to get food and then stayed on whilst our daughter played . We ended the night with our daughter and her new friends exchanging friendship bracelets which were made from streamer the restaurant provided . The team at the restaurant were so great it’s a proper family treat/ dining experience xx

I saw a facebook post about the inside and outside play areas and visited with my daughter, granddaughter and puppy for an early evening meal. Swallows nest is located on Conwy lodge park but is open to visitors providing you book online. The food was amazing but more importantly we could all relax and have a nice time. All the staff were so friendly and welcoming and as a bonus kids eat free on a Wednesday and Thursday and I didn't know that when I booked so I was very impressed with the value and quality of the meals. I would happily give extra stars here if I could.

Went for Sunday lunch with 2 children and a baby in pram, they gave us a table up a couple of steps and when I asked if there was a ramp to get the buggy up the girl just replied “no, people normally carry them up” and only after a few minutes of struggling did they offer to help. Food was poor, roast dinner absolutely swamped in gravy (probably to hide the fact it wasn’t good), fish and chips smelt off, kids meals ok. Staff were cold and unfriendly. Indoor play areas ok for kids over the age of 5 but nothing special. The ball pit has very rough floor and slippery walkway up to it, and as shoes aren’t allowed in the ball pit one of the kids scraped their foot on the rough floor causing a graze. The big indoor climbing frame was huge, great for 5+ but need to be confident climbers to get up on it On a plus, the outside seating and play area was great, lovely setting and was safe and clean, although again the big climbing frame was very high and even our 5 year old struggled with it. In summary an ok place for a drink but not for food and staff seriously need retraining.

We visited for food whilst they had 15% off, was okay but wouldn’t return, the side room felt very cramped with the tables close together and the chairs very near the wall but the table was too heavy to try push out so was uncomfortable to sit properly. All our food came out one at a time with 10 minutes minimum in between, by the time the last plate came out the first person had nearly finished which we didn’t like when we all wanted to eat together
