Great staff, lovely food, nice area of Llandudno. Definitely worth a visit if staying in Llandudno. Follow all the covid policies.

Situated just off the main centre in the road to the Gt Orme Tramcar. Quite old and a little quaint the place is spotlessly clean with a good choice of food considering the current Clovis descriptions. Very dog friendly, we were politely shown to our table and a bowl of water provided for out dog. Our food was excellent, two of us had the steak pie which was a wedge cut from a large, homemade pie served with perfectly cooked veg and a choice of potato plus a boat of gravy. My. Wife’s Scampi was declared to be first class and the accompaniments perfect.The welcome, service and attention we received wonderful, we were really made to feel at home. Value for money I would rate the food as spot on, if I were to nit pick the wine price was a tad heavy but you can’t have everything. Well done to all.

Took my 88 yr old mum at the time and it was brilliant, friendly staff,helpful if not dated in some areas but wonderful rooms,comfortable beds .excellent breakfast choice and beautiful evening meals.

Ideally located over the road from Lynton House which is where I stayed. Lovely service and all COVID friendly.

This pub was right opposite my hotel on Church Walks. Very friendly welcome upon entering. Nice pint of Banks bitter at a reasonable price. Good location.

Staff working very hard and coping with the difficult Covid-19 restrictions well. Five stars. Pre-booking for dining is essential.

Booked a table, and found they were following the Covid rules and doing all table service. Good choice on menu (son had kangaroo). Friendly staff.

Great location just off the sea front. Sat outside for a few drinks and we thoroughly enjoyed our lager.

We ate here as this place seemed really popular, so we thought it must be pretty decent food. It was ok, but nothing special or out of the ordinary. The steak pie was a little disappointing, mediocre, nothing out of the ordinary. My partner is vegetarian, and his choices were very limited, fish and chips was the best thing on offer, and again was nothing out of the ordinary. The prices are slightly more than normal pub food prices so we did expect better, not in terms of quantity as there was plenty won our plates, but definitely more in terms of quality.

So 5 days in Llandudno, and the food and service in this pub is so brilliant. After 5 visit cannot fault anything regarding this pub. Stephen

A lovely pub, close to the sea front with a delightful outdoor seating area. The inside maintains traditional charm without being oppressive - it's clean and light and the staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. Pre-booking essential due to the pandemic, but this didn't detract from a lovely meal that felt safe. The food was fantastic quality and absolutely delicious, and very well priced. Excellent choices of beers, ales, ciders and spirits. Definitely recommend!

Went here on the way to The Orme but didn't leave becuse the food and ale was so nice. I had the steak and ale pie with chips and two veg and my husband had steak and kidney pudding with chips and mushy peas. So tasty and proper pastry on the pie and real suet pastry on the pudding. Although we were staying in Deganwy we went back the next day and had the same again!Covid restrictions are there but not OTT like in some places. Staff friendly and welcoming.Would definitely recommend

Nice staff but food could be better Went for a drink as near to B and B and like the banter of the staff so booked a table for the next night. Seafood stew more potatoes than anything else but tasty. Kangaroo steak tough but probably my choice of being cooked medium didn’t help. Price reasonable so overall good experience

Me and my wife went in the queen victoria on two consecutive afternoons because the beer and the food were excellent the staff were really friendly my wife had the steak and Guinness pie and chips and I had the steak and kidney suet pudding with mushy peas and Covid precautions were in place and felt very safe during our visits I would highly recommend this pub for a friendly atmosphere .

Only had drinks in here during our stay in Llandudno but we visited on a few nights as the pub was so lovely and cosy. Drinks were very reasonably priced too and staff very friendly. Wish we tried the food as this looked amazing too... we will be back!

Still a great pub. Excellent service and food, well-kept beer, sensible covid precautions, flexibility on table bookings. Visited twice, lunch and dinner, and both were great.

Booked meal at 6 for four with two dogs. Arrived early and they had the tables already reserved. The choice on the menu was great and the meals came quickly. I tried the steak & kidney pudding which was delicious. All of us enjoyed the meals.

Waited 35 minutes for food orders to be taken! In house menu more expensive than online menu.Food expensive for what it was.

Just had 2 evening meals in this pub with our two golden retrievers. Lovely friendly people, good food. Dogs were impressed with their treats and bowl of water. Will certainly eat here again if we're in the area.

Managed to squeeze in here without booking, they keep a few tables for 'walk-ins'. I'd had a decent light lunch here a couple of days previously and had seen the 'Haddock and Seafood Buillabaisse' on the main menu and was looking forward to trying it. Unfortunately it was a big disappointment. A tomato based soup with some cubes of haddock, a few small shelled mussels and a few small prawns included. The menu also mentioned saffron cooked potatoes and I did find a couple of small pieces of potato but couldn't detect any saffron. There was one large shell - on prawn as garnish which was welcome but also a handful of what appeared to be pea shoots as garnish which added nothing to the dish. Some parsley or basil would have been better. At £18.95 I'm glad I visited on an 'eat out for half price day'. It was a shame as the place was well organised and the staff were excellent.

First visit for a while, as we found the quality to be sliding a bit in the last couple of years. We got seated very quickly, as we had phoned ahead and booked a table. We were also given a cocktail menu and food menu in good time. We ordered drinks while we decided on food. I ordered a mojito, and it wasn't as good as I expected for the price, couldn't quite put my finger on what the problem was, but it was drinkable. our food came in good time and there was a tiny problem, which we didn't say anything about as it was so petty (hubby asked for no bun with his burger, but it arrived in a bun). The rest of the food, however, was amazing, they had my favourite (steak with garlic butter) and it came with all the trimmings, just the way I like it. But may I just advise the chef that adding a steak topper of scampi or prawns to the menu would make it even more amazing. I ordered another drink, staying away from the cocktails, but they had a good rum (coconut Dead Man's Finger) and proper coke in little bottles which was gorgeus (i have the Dead Man passion fruit at home so it was a sure bet). Didn't order sweets as we were to stuffed, nipped across the road for a walk down the pier instead, as the pub is in a prime spot. definetely improved of late, keep up the good work guys.

Worst Thai green curry I’ve ever eaten the chef for certain does NOT know how to make one, you do NOT make Thai green curry with white sauce. It was if he’d made a white sauce and put some Thai green curry paste in it. It was tasteless not spicy which it should be it was disgusting we told the waiter and he said well lots order it ‘SO’ that doesn’t help me !! No offer of compensation. Also while I’m on a roll they don’t know how to make mojitos either you need honey or liquid sweetener not granulated sugar all in all expensive when you don’t like itWill not be returning

Such lovely staff!! Came in for food and drinks and was not disappointed in the slightest - the hand breaded haddock was perfect. Had a gorgeous sex on the beach cocktail as well! Due to Covid it was table service (which were perfectly distanced from one another) which was prompt and handled really well - the social distancing was easy due to the one way system they put in place and they had track and trace which made me feel very safe and welcomed. Can’t recommend this pub enough - thank you so much for making my few days in Llandudno so much fun!

Good selection on the menu, I had the slow cooked belly pork, my partner had the steak and ale pie, could not fault the meal, service was brilliant, food was on the table within minutes. Nice atmosphere and would definitely recommend The Queen Victoria, we will definitely be back.

It was a last minute decision to eat here, I was really only after a Guinness.

Average menu, with average food. Not bad, but nothing to write home about. Bit over priced for what you get really. I had Cajun chicken and it was a bit dry Chips are OK

We visited for lunch. One disabled 91 year old, one coeliac in the party and one VERY large scary looking dog. One woman serving drinks and food . Wonderful service wonderful food and the most extensive gluten free menu I have seen. Comfortable and friendly. Thank you for a lovely lunch.

We visited two nights in a row, huge bonus that you are dog friendly and very welcoming. Lovely quality food, good portions, well cooked (best mussels I have ever eaten). Definitely be back when we come to Llandudno next!

Friendly staff, fire in lounge, relaxed atmosphere. Worth a visit for a night cap. Outdoor seating to the front.

After reading several Really positive reviews about this restaurant we decided to book a table yesterday for Sunday lunch. We live about an hour away and was really looking forward to it. I really wish we hadn’t bothered. The choice was very limited in fact the only roast meat was pork which was ok as we both like pork. But when the meal arrived I lost my appetite. My plate was so overflowing with food it was difficult to know where to start, and my plate was absolutely swimming in gravy. Laid on the top of the food was a gelatinous slab of what turned out to be stuffing, which I don’t like. The pork was so tough and dry I couldn’t cut it. The only thing which was quite nice was the red cabbage. The mangetout were uncooked and the carrots tasteless. It would have been improved by serving the veg and gravy separately. We won’t be making a return visit.

Couldn’t recommend this venue enough! They swept in and rescued a group of 26 of us for a 40th birthday, when another pub had messed us around. We had the whole of the restaurant and were given complete freedom to decorate and get ready during the day. We were a tricky crowd to cater for with children, vegans, fussy, adventurous and hungry. Nothing was too much trouble and the menu was spectacular. The staff and quality of food was fantastic and everyone was happy! Such friendly staff on the bar and all round good time had by all- Thank you so, so very much team x

Its not the most glamorous of pubs but they did themselves proud on New Years Eve. A 7 course meal......each course really well done.....brilliant young pianist......reserved seats downstairs and an excellent entertainer who didn't put a foot wrong for 2 hours. Match all this with excellent company and you have a great night lined up.

Had a family meal on New year's day 2020 the food was delicious and the service was excellent will definitely be back

I’ve been coming to Llandudno for some years on holiday and because this is dog friendly I’ve had most evening meals here. Tonight I was served by someone who clearly had more important things to do than be attentive to customers. I had rump steak. What I could eat was delicious but when I took the plate to show that a third of it was fat and gristle I found him disinterested and dismissive. I said I won’t be ordering it again and he very patronisingly said “that’s fine”.

A favourite of mine when visiting Llandudno, great selection of drinks, real ales etc. Food is always varied and excellent quality with daily specials to choose from. Great beer garden to the front of the pub and a lovely open fire inside. Highly recommend.

Came today with my husband and our dog and had the best time. We first came for a lunch after spotting it was dog friendly.

Great pub offering good pub grub, we came with children, baby and two dogs and staff were friendly and accommodating. Definitely recommend

Pet friendly, lovely friendly staff, food was lovely, nice atmosphere... ideal for a “pop-in” meal. The desserts are lovely too... especially the crumble!!

Twee keer hier gegeten, omdat het eten in Hotel The Grand niet te eten was. Eerste avond een heerlijke pie gehad. De tweede avond een burger. Gewoon goed, decent pubfood. Zoals je mag verwachten in een pub. We hadden beide avonden gereserveerd en de tweede avond kregen we een mooi plekje in een rustig hoekje. Personeel is super vriendelijk en neemt de tijd voor je.

Called in for lunch and then for a few drinks the following evening. This is a traditional dog-friendly pub with a nice ambience about it. All the staff were friendly, helpful and very efficient. The food was well cooked and there was a good variety to choose from. Good selection of well-kept Real Ales.

We called in for a drink one evening and really enjoyed ourselves so we called back for dinner the next night. It is a traditional pub, which we liked, people were very friendly and pub food good. They were dog friendly and we will definitely return when we are next in the area.

We were in a B&B; a stone's throw from this pub. We were only in Llandudno for 2 nights but we came in here twice. We ate once and food was good quality. Liked the background music too! We would come again.

Ate there with friends one night, called for a drink on two other nights. Obviously didn't come away saying, I'm not going there again, nor did I think, 'I absolutely must go there again'. Good standard pub food, good beer and pleasant staff.

While visiting family in Llandudno we were looking for somewhere to have a evening meal & the Queen Vic met our criteria.

Came in for a bite dinner time whilst on holiday with the family. Staff were helpful and friendly however food came after 15 minutes from when we ordered... already not a good sign.

It doesn’t look nice from the outside but the staff make up for that, Nice pint and good banter, Just obey the shops it’s a good bolt hole

Buzzing busy public house. Packed on a Monday night means that It is excellent First class sharp service. Excellent food. Family had local classics like Lamb and Steak Pie. The ales were conditioned perfectly. A local treasure.

Just had two visits to here over the weekend... we couldn’t fault the first night so stuck with what we enjoyed. Always a favourite for us, the service was even better than previous visits last year, and even then it had been great!! It isn’t the cheapest option in Llandudno, but the quality and service is strong enough to feel that you get your value. It will remain a firm favourite on our list.

Visited the steak restaurant it was ok..lovely waiter but food quite expensive for what it was..would visit again but for a bar meal

Only popped in for a quick drink while passing. Had a look at the menu and reviews then decided to give it a try the next evening. Glad I reserved a table beforehand as the place was quite busy when we got there, which is a good sign really. We didn't have to wait long for our food, it was piping hot and everything was spot on. My wife said her cottage pie was beautiful, cajun spicy pork chop was the same for my son and my scampi and chips was bang on as well. My wife and son had room for a dessert and said that was beautiful too. The staff were all very friendly and helpful too which makes a big difference to your visit. There's a nice atmosphere to the place. We will definitely go there again next time we are in Llandudno.

Came here on a Thursday for steak night; my partner had kangaroo, I had the swordfish and both were excellent. Leaving very satisfied. Reasonable choice of ales too for CAMRA fans.

Good cheap tasty food in a friendly atmosphere on a very rainy day in Llandudno. We had a few drinks here then came back later for dinner and then again for a hot drink before bed.

Having enjoyed a good beer during the afternoon and viewed the menus, we decided to return that evening for a meal. Selected Hot Stone cooked swordfish and kangaroo steaks (only served upstairs in a very tastefully decorated restaurant). Quite an experience and very tasty.

A very dated and old fashioned pub but don't let that put you off. The staff are very polite and respectful. The menu has a good selection. My husband had the chicken curry and was surprised at the amount of chicken in it. He was definitely stuffed after eating it. I would recommend the Cajun spiced chop which came with chips and salad. Delicious.

Lovely pub - friendly staff - just had stone steak meal in the restaurant upstairs and it was amazing - super fun way of dining - served by Jazz who is enthusiastic, friendly and attentive - highly recommend

We called the restaurant and booked a table as we wanted the best steaks in llandudno when we turned up we were sat in the pub. We looked at the menu which did not match the one on line. I asked the bar staff why there was no steak on the menu and showed them the online menu. Both bar staff told me that was their old menu and they had not updated it. I explained that we all came for the stone cooked steak.

We were staying nearby and stopped by for a light lunch one day, we had a baked Camembert with sides and bread and it was lovely, so well presented.

Popped in for a beer, expensive for two drinks compared too other bars in the area. Pub was a bit dirty & grotty, full of flies on the table, needs a good tin of paint and a new carpet. Guinness was the shinning light. Won't rush back here.

Called in to try the steak on the stone, was surprised to find we were the only ones in the upstairs restaurant, which is a shame as it is a delightful restaurant, we had the fillet steak and it was excellent, would definitely recommend this place, certainly deserves 5 stars, you just have to try it, you won't be disappointed! Unless they decide to call it a day for the hot stone, which would be a crying shame! Give a it whirl!

Visited with our rottie dog and were directed to the left hand side of the bar area to eat. Table 14 was brilliant for our dog as there was a small alcove next to the table where she could lie without disturbing other diners and was very comfortable. The staff brought her water without us asking and obviously have dogs there regularly. The food was excellent, good pub food, great portion sizes , piping hot and very tasty. It was so good we returned our second night in Llandudno to eat there again !

Good selection of home cooked food on menu, value for money, well cooked and presented.Our small terrier was made very welcome by the friendly staff. Perhaps could have a wider selection of keg beers.

Staff were great. We had steak which was very tough. A big delay with our starter which came with our main meal ! It was also expensive for pub food.

On a recent holiday to Llandudno, my girlfriend, daughter and I went to Queen Victoria for lunch and we weren't disappointed. The food was excellent and the portion sizes were generous. It was great value for money and the staff were prompt in their service and friendly in their manner.It was so good we went 4 times in 6 days! Thanks again.

Always have to pop in Queen Vic when in Llandudno the weekend. Always good service, the outside got better tables & chairs . Nice selections beers/wines as always. Good location, very near to tram/pier/sea front and promenade! Excellent.

Welcomed with a dog and could happily sit anywhere in the bar area. Plenty of proper tables to eat at not just little pub stools. Food was really nice and a good range of gluten free options. Would happily visit again.

Had dinner at the Queen Victoria when on holiday in Llandudno. Dog friendly pub with dogs allowed in the pub as well as outside. Traditional pub near pier. Order food at bar. Nice atmosphere, mixture of locals and tourists. I had the gourmet burger and my wife chose the chilli. After initially looking like a standard pub grub menu the food was surprisingly delicious. Good sized portions and reasonably priced. Dog treats and water offered for the dog. The chilli had a beautiful smoky flavour and my wife said it was the best chilli she'd ever eaten in a restaurant.

We first visited for lunch which was very nice, then we went back for a drink later that evening, friendly staff and a nice relaxed feeling in the pub.

Group of 8 had a great session at this place. Good beer range, polite staff, excellent outside terrace.

Visited here as a result of reading earlier reviews and can only say I wasn't disappointed. We ate here on two occasions having four different meals, all were very good and value for money. Can only say when I come away saying I really enjoyed that it must have been good. The staff were friendly and efficient and I hope that they continue to do well.

Standard pub, decent choice of wines/beers/ gins etc. Outside seating area undercover although tends to be where smokers congregate.

What a busy restaurant. It does pay to book. Service was very quick. I had cottage pie with broccoli snow peas and carrots. Very nice . Husband had steak and kidney pie. Again looked good

Stayed here for several drinks last week in the sunshine . The front decking is a great sun trap in May . Friendly staff . A larger range of ciders would have been nice though

Visited here during a day trip to Llandudno! Dog friendly which was a plus for us as we had our little one with us! Food was excellent! Had the cottage pie and it was fresh, hearty and delicious! Great find!

6 day stay in Llandudno at the Min y Don Hotel just down from the Queen Victoria pub... Called in most days for a quick drink and home cooked meal. Staff are really welcoming and the food is delicious with plenty of it... Would recommend a visit to anyone and if there at a weekend try their roast dinner 10 out of 10.

Large choice of draft beers and lagers small menu in the bar, BUT upstairs hot rock restaurant was great....needs more advertising will use again

Very quiet when we went in and remained that way. Very polite chap behind the bar with a beard. Gave me a good choice of beer, very pleased indeed. Will definitely return on our next visit.

I fitness served by a lovely bar lady today alanah and she wasn’t so welcoming and she made sure we got what we wanted , I’ve honestly never met such an accommodating bar tender she really does deserve Moreno credit , most bar tenders don’t make convocation after serving burn alanah makes the extra effort.

Really nice home cooked food, excellent selection to suit all tastes. Helpful & friendly staff, good selection of beers.
