We’ve just returned from another fantastic stay at Outdoor Alternative in Rhoscolyn, and once again, it was everything we hoped for and more. We stayed in Mulfran, the house has everything you could possibly need for a relaxing getaway. It is spacious, comfortable, and perfectly equipped. Jacqui and Mark were as wonderful as ever, Jacqui prepared a delicious one-pot supper for us that was a perfect end to our first day. The location is unbeatable – we had stunning walks, plenty of beach time, and even kayaking, all accessible right from the house. We’ve been coming for years, and this place never disappoints.

Scrumdiddlyumptious full breakfast. Real tasty sausages and bacon. Lovely runny yolked eggs, beans and hash browns. And a lovely round of toast, included in the price. Quality coffee. We keep calling back. This place beats anywhere local, on quality and pricing.

Absolutely excellent pub. Friendly welcoming staff. Landlord Kieran is such a wonderful charming, kind, sincere Gentleman, Also a highly skilled Professional Chef by trade.. His food is out of this world, 5 Star food ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Absolutely delicious!! I would highly recommend the Stag Inn for a gorgeous cold Marston's or any other of the fine selection of bitters, larger, ales, spirits. Wonderful friendly atmosphere with the staff and the locals. I can't wait to come back again. Thanks Kieran for making myself and best friend feel so very welcome. from ^Reece^

Been to Anglesey many times, but this is the first time we have visited Penmon Priory and the lighthouse at the bottom of the toll road. The toll cost is £3.50 for cars and this goes to the upkeep of the priory so happy to pay. The road is narrow in a couple of spots but drive slowly and it is fine. We called into the cafe to see if we could get an order to take away and ordered burgers with chips. Wasn't too sure what to expect but the burgers were gorgeous and huge. The chips were also nice, although the portions were large so we couldn't finish them. My mum had a tea and it was lovely, I tried it and even though I don't drink tea very often we ended up sharing it as it was so nice. Staff member that served me was friendly and efficient, and the order was ready quickly. I've seen a few reviews mention the price, and yes I would agree it is slightly overpriced for burgers and chips, but given the quality and location we don't mind paying and supporting a local business.

Unfriendly staff. They didn’t even check how it was throughout the meal... if they had they’d understand why most the food was left. One of the waitresses was wearing a pair of sunglasses on her head the entire time? Looked very unprofessional.

Stayed for one night due to the stormy weather. Room was spacious, modern and clean. Great bathroom with shower. Lovely warm and friendly welcome from Kelly and was super friendly. Enjoyed the pool night. Customers were very friendly and good beer and prices. Kelly arranged for a breakfast bab to go at 07:00 and lady (sorry do not know her name) that was sorting out breakfast was warm and friendly. So overall 5* and would highly recommend it.

We were in the area and after hearing good reviews we thought we would give this place a try, it was lunch time on Monday the 28th of April, we waited by the sign stating ‘please wait to be seated’ a waiter said we can just choose our own table, we found one outside and sat down, around 10 minutes after being seated I had to request menus, we were ready to order but no one seemed to be interested in taking it, what really disappointed us was that a table that had only just been seated for a few minutes were asked if they would like to order drinks by the same waiter that had told us to find a table. We grabbed our belongings and left, we will not be returning and will share this poor experience with others.

As guests at the hotel, we visited on our last night with no problems being seated without a booking. We both had starters and mains (steaks) and all good ordered was absolutely beautiful. We came away very full and very impressed.

Great location, good facilities, food and drink all great, BUT, was surprised and very disappointed to find the same cheap metal chairs in the restaurant as outside, plus these have got to be the ugliest and most uncomfortable chairs ever!!!!!!!!
