First visit here & excellent food & friendly service. Mushroom and leek/potato soup starters were delicious. Lamb & Beef main dinners were really tasty with perfect amount of meat & veg. We just about had enough room to share the banofee pie which was equally good. We travelled from the other side of the island so an hour round trip but well worth it & will definitely return!

Unfortunately we booked on the day and were excited to go to all have pizza. When we arrived they told us they weren’t doing pizza which is a shame because most of the menu and advertisement is pizza. Maybe next time people should be told what is unavailable when booking or it should be on Facebook (I don’t mean when it is one or two items but when it is most of the menu it is disappointing). We are now looking for elsewhere to eat.

Found this little gem whilst looking for dog friendly pubs. The atmosphere was lovely straight away & you were made to feel welcome. The locals were friendly as were the staff. There was a specials board to add extra choice to a good menu. We were given a fresh bowl of water for the dog upon arrival and the server made a fuss of our dog which was lovely. We had soup of the day, French onion which was lovely. Husband had sea bass with vegetables, he said it was cooked to perfection. I had the roast beef ciabatta with bowl of gravy from the specials board, only £8-would have payed more-so ordered a side of fries it was a big bowl probably enough for 2! We asked for a sausage for the dog and was given a bowl with sausage, peas and a bit of gravy and they only charged £1 for it, which we thought was very generous. We were too full for desert but there was enough choice. The oven fired fresh pizza was not available when we went but were given information when it would be on but to ring ahead and double check. The food was lovely, all in all a very nice experience. For 3 drinks, 2 soups, the 2 meals and the dogs meal the price was very reasonable. Will definitely be returning.

Absolute hidden gem with a wood fired pizza oven in the back garden. We discovered this last summer and the kids couldn't stop talking about "the best pizza they'd ever had" so we were straight back here as soon as we got to Anglesey this summer! You can order pizza out the back and sit in the garden with the box, or you can order from the bar and sit inside, where it'll come on a slate. We sat in the garden last year and then this time in the conservatory type area at the back, which is tucked a bit out of the way, so I can't comment on the main pub as I've not set foot round the front! Either way it's amazing pizza - well sized, gorgeous fluffy dough, absolutely piled with delicious toppings. Can't wait for our next Anglesey visit!

Went here on a whim with family whilst staying locally. Venue was clean and the reception from bar staff and manager was exceptionally attentive. We were immediately acknowledged and offered drinks. The table service was both friendly and prompt given they were busy on a bank holiday weekend. I asked to mess about with their standard pizza menu and this was no issue, which can be troublesome at some establishments. Food was very good all round, and at very reasonable prices. Regular checks were made on our table as to drinks refills and everything being in order with our meal. I so wish this place was local to me. I would eye with dubious scepticism the few poor reviews of this place. The staff are delivering a fantastic little boozer serving quality food in a very pleasant environment. My one gripe is that when trying to tip or reward the [very young] bar/restaurant staff, we were told this was not allowed and/or not possible. We did not have any cash to give to them directly and were put out that we could not reward their good service by overpaying on the bill. I worked in hospitality when I was at University and like to reward good service now I can. Whatever the issue is here, please look to rectify it. Well done Panton Arms - and thank you for a great evening. You have a lovely day venue a great team working it! ❤️

4 friends meet up for lunch at a venue which was recommended .I had fish chowder main which had 2 miniscule pieces of fish in a very small soup bowl for £12.50 🤔🧐 questioned if I had been served a starter rather than main . No ! Complained to the bar staff and chef neither were interested 🤷♀️basically it was a bowl of veg in cream with new potatoes and sweetcorn. Also cold . French onion soup starter was also cold for my friend. Won’t be returning especially when I saw a frying pan on the side with more cream soup on the side in the kitchen. Chef’s uniform filthy and didn’t give two hoots at the complaint

We visited for Sunday lunch and the pub was quite busy with both diners and drinkers. We ordered from the Sunday Lunch menu which I did think was on the pricy side. £20 for 3 course meal. I'm not sure if that is the norm for the area though. Although the food as OK in fact the veg was very well cooked and I enjoyed the red cabbage, I found the potion size on the small side, everything is presented on the plate and I was left feeling I could have eaten a bit more, I wouldn't class myself as a hearty eater. Extra's were available at a cost. From what I remember small amount of mash, a roast potato, peas, carrots and red cabbage. One small yorkshire pud piled in the centre of the plate with 2 slices of meat. Salt in the grinder was table salt granules which went everywhere and no horseradish. Staff were very accommodating and friendly. Good dog friendly environment

Very disappointed. We have been here before and it was nice. We booked in for a Sunday Roast and were very specific about this. We had a phonecall half an hour before our booking saying that they had ran out of Sunday lunches but had other food available. We couldn't book a Sunday lunch anywhere else at this late time. We went anyway and were told we could only order pizza. Sunday lunches flowed throughout our meal and as we were leaving. When asked, we were told that we couldn't have one as we hadn't ordered the specific meat, we were not asked to when booking our Sunday lunch. Terrible customer service, no apologies. Very disappointed. Would not recommend.

I can only mention the one that was born and bred in Pentraeth as I didn't know the others' backgrounds. I told her my sister-in-law lived in Pentraeth and we had come to visit her in hospital from York. The only improvement could be some lighting in the car park. This weekend turned out to be a very busy one in Anglesey despite the weather. We had originally planned to eat in Beaumaris but couldn't get in anywhere. It was getting late for lunch so we were going to grab some sandwiches from the petrol...

I have only rated this hotel for food as Theresa as we only had sandwiches and drinks. I think if we had been having a meal it could’ve rated five stars. The reason I’m writing this up is that the sandwiches were excellent.I made a...

Nice cosy interior, well done. However food over priced, poor choice and didn't appear to be fresh. Veg was frozen. Staff need a good shake up. So laid back amongst horizontal. Cash paid, change returned and chucked on table without receipt. Staff give the impression...

We live in a campervan and are travelling Wales in it - heard about the pub on an app for motorhomes and called them up to see about parking. It’s £10 for overnight but you get£5 towards food or drinks! We had the wood fired...

Food was lovely as was the pub and the staff.cant fault it.my only gripe is the pub allowing dogs at the tables while you're trying to eat and all you can hear is barking..I'm a dog lover but I don't agree with dogs in a pub where people are eating and relaxing.

Going on the strength of other reviews, we booked a table in the dog friendly area of The Crown. Having had and a 2 hour walk beforehand, a well deserved refuelling stop. Quite chilly in that area of the pub. Cheap lunch menu. Specials board more expensive. We had Scampi & fries, small battered cod & chips. Both came with peas. I had much higher expectations and was disappointed in the portion size(5 scampi pieces). Would consider giving it another try sometime, go in the evening and dine in the restaurant area. Pay the more expensive dinner prices, in the hope that the food would not be cooked from frozen and the portion sizes would be satisfying.
