Fron Goch Garden Centre & Restaurant in Isle of Anglesey

Lovely food ,and was served very qwicly.

So disgustingly unhygenic, encouraging owners to take dogs into the dining area. I will not eat in their cafe. I recommend Tyddyn Sachau, Y Ffôr LL53 6UB for the cleanliness of their cafe, no dogs policy and excellent plant nursery.

Now the final work has been done it was a delight to visit again. Great staff attitude and a wider range of plants and accessories. Luxurious lunch. Plethora of plants Cornucopia of cakes. Frenzy of flowers A smile of staff. What more can you ask for

Had a wonderful afternoon tea here . I had reserved a table and were given one tucked into a corner by the window which suited us just fine ,as the central tables can at times become noisy. The whole experience was absolutely lovely. We had pots of tea , sandwiches ,sausage roll, quiche, scone with clotted cream and jam, chocolate mousse, shortbread biscuit , chocolate brownie and strawberry cheese cake. Everything was of the highest standard and I could not fault a thing...well done "team fron goch"

Lovely place to visit. Garden centre had great veriaty of plants. Staff knowledgeable. The cafe was nice and modern. Good looked good. Only down side, £3.80 for what they called a large coffee. It was the size of a normal mug. Not worth it for a coffee. Overall nice place but too pricey on the coffee and drinks.

Great venue , plenty of choice plants and food . Dog friendly always a plus

Easy to.get to with the bypass, the garden center is just outside Caernarfon. Parking is free onsite. The garden center has all the things you would expect with good quality garden furniture, plants and homeware. There is also a very busy cafe with a good range of foods. However I had a slab of bara birth and latte which was excellent and a good price. Worth a visit if up that way

Really nice garden centre. They expanded during lockdown.... we usually have breakfast in their coffee.... I love this place, especially during the Christmas period.... but great for summer as well with outside table. Staff are always very helpful.

Long queue for the restaurant, when there’s plenty of empty tables available. One woman was showing you to a table, im sure it would be quicker to leave menu on clean tables and everyone find there own table. A few people in the queue decided to go elsewhere rather than waiting over 20 minutes like we did! I must admit the ordering online was great and service once we were seated was excellent. The food was of good quality, it is a bit pricey for what you get.

Been there a few times and eaten. Things have changed a bit. Carvery gone. You sit, order and wait for your food to arrive at the table. Wife's baked potato was fine. My soup was good also. However, my panini must have sat for a long time on a hotplate prior to my receiving it. The botton was rock hard and the top half dry. Disappointing.

We had such a great family time together. The idea with q-code is so cool! So easy to use! I like it. Food was delicious and we've been waiting up to 5-6min since we payed! Such a great experience! Highly recommend

Normally provide a great breakfast … Today however I chose Eggs Benedict. Very disappointed that it was all cold apart from the eggs which were slightly warm. I understand from the person to whom I spoke that was how it is meant to be. Not my experience at other places. Happily, my husband really enjoyed the fried breakfast which is what we usually both have. Next time I won’t deviate from my normal choice

Brilliant place and the best restaurant ever!! Lots of lovely plants at reasonable prices, had the Sunday Roast , ( Turkey) it was lovely, and the Cheesecake after!! Mmmmm

Excellent cafe, it was very busy and was very pleasantly surprised when our drinks and food were delivered to the table very quickly. Very slick operation. The garden centre is well laid out. With lots of choice and some very healthy plants. The Christmas displays were really good too. We will definitely be back.

Always pretty good. Bit of a maze to get to the cafe from the entrance. It's a little confusing.. The app updated recently, so the correct allergens weren't listed bit it's only temporary. General staff didn't seem to know anything about allergens. More gluten and dairy free options would be fab. Then it's inclusive.

Great range of products, helpful staff nothing too big or small to help you with.The restaurant has fantastic food, great choice, and a vegan range. You will not be disappointed in visiting.

Fron Goch is a lovely place to go, especially as it nears to Xmas. We had Sunday lunch, having queued for quite a while. The food was lovely and staff polite. However I do think that the veg portion you get to share is small for the price. Heblaw hynny, pob dim yn lyfli 😊

It's very expensive garden centre, they should but the prices down... the cafe was very expensive too that why I didn't go In.

Festive afternoon tea was really good. Plenty of choice, everything was delicious. Waitress very friendly & helpful. One star only omitted due to slight mix up at til.

Wonderful lunch today with a group of friends. Everyone chose differing main dishes and some were even seduced by the stunning cakes, tarts and cheesecakes.. Food was fabulous and service from the charming and welcoming staff was caring, courteous and relaxed. A great start to the buildup of the Festive Season. Thank you. 🙂 ❤️ 😘

A great place to visit as they've have a great selection of good from gardening to clothing, and they have a good selection of Christmas decorations and a electronic santa-claus 🎅 by the entrance, which the santa tells a story in Welsh. They've have a excellent restaurant where they serve a good selection of excellent cakes, hot & cold drinks, hot meals and even wine and beers, you've have a choice of ordering from your table using your smart phone using the QR code available on there menu or go too the counter.

Quality garden centre, always well stocked with a restaurant and cafe if you just want a brew. Lovely Christmas display for 2023.

Visited this garden centre, had a super lunch and then shopped for ideas for Christmas as they have a wonderful display of all you would need for the festive period, excellent experience. Thank you Fron Goch.

An exceptionally good place. All staff that I met were very helpfull 👍👏

Always come for a Sunday roast most weeks and the occasional breakfast and is always great. However on our last visit we were very disappointed that they had changed the portion size of the egg Benedict. From two slices of toast & two good piece of ham to one piece of toast and a small piece of ham. My partner loved coming here for this but we don’t feel the price tag of £8.95 justify this portion size!! We even asked the waiter as we were confused the portion size was much smaller, who confirmed it had been changed. Will not be visiting for breakfast again unfortunately.

This is the best garden centre that I have been . If you have any questions the staff are only to helpful to try and answer . The Cafe has a very nice conservatory and the staff are very good .

Arrived at 11.45 to find out they stop serving breakfast at 11.15. A sausage roll is £10... that's after they've funnelled you through about a mile of garden centre just to get there ! I think it's forgotten it's a garden centre and thinks it's Harrods !

Food is always delicious. The seating area is bright and airy but was quite shocked today by the amount of dogs in the cafe. There were four dogs around us today when we were eating. They were perfectly quiet but really do you need to bring your dog inside. What worries me is the fact that i sometimes come with my son and he is allergic to dogs.

Lovely atmosphere Very expensive

Visited today for afternoon tea with a friend. This was a raffle prize. I’m very glad we didn’t have to pay. The sandwiches were stale and consisted of a slice of poor quality ham or some cream cheese. The quiche was stale and cold. The scones were stale and so pale they looked uncooked. The other bits were just frozen bites of cake defrosted nothing was home-made. And at the end, we were presented with a bill for £4.99 because “afternoon tea has gone up”. Oh dear Fron Goch. Whatever has happened to you? It used to be such a treat to visit, Now, all the lush home-cooked food has gone along with the friendly personal service. Never again!!!

Am a regular here so extremely disappointed and upset when an older member of staff openly complained about myself and my husband paying for our goods with cash...deep sigh because she had to walk 3m to cash checkout,and then proceeded to say loudly ' really....on a Sunday morning!' My husband refuses to step foot in FG again and if we hadn't needed our purchase that morning, we would have gone elsewhere Quite surprised that an approximately 60+ person would think like that.....sad!

£10 for a sausage roll with no side!!!..Was told if I wanted salad, that would be an extra £4.50. Very expensive. Bring the old cafe/restaurant back and bring down your prices. Extortionate!!!!!!

Helen on customer service and Mel in the garden area were very helpful today. They found out where we could buy bulk topsoil on Anglesey and advised when certain plants would be available. All of your staff are always really helpful and have excellent attitudes to customer service.

Had breakfast which was table served not able to see and choose like before covid but understand. Still good quality.although centre still worth visit feel its gone very expensive in goods and very coperative ...used to be individual but sign of times unfortunately 😕 sue

My family took me for afternoon tea and cake as it was my birthday and I had always really enjoyed going before. I was so looking forward to it - sadly was soooooo different to how it used to be. I was very disappointed, I was NOT allowed to sit where I wanted, had to go to till to order after being sat down. Menu didn't have all cakes or soft drinks on (only the expensive options!) We were given one serviette to share between 6! my husband's glass of milk was luke warm, and had one teaspoon to share! All in all a very disappointing visit - I think the saddest thing was the staff - they were clearly told exactly what to say and do and were seemingly very miserable. I will be going back to the garden centre for plants but NOT for a special Birthday tea! Which quite frankly was spoilt by this experience. So sad when it used to be a happy enjoyable place to go with friendly, happy staff and super food. Not so now!!!!!!!!!! Jane W

Fron Goch Garden Centre off Pant Rd nr Llanfaglan. The new carpark extension is huge, at least four times larger than the original and nicely made too. It's located at the far end of the existing carpark. The parking bays are not marked out, just being compacted gravel, but it doesn't stick to car tyres as you would expect. Like the original carpark, the new extension operates a clockwise one way system, if you obey the directions to the Exit. On the ground between the new carpark area and the railway is another huge area of new tarmac. This is for the delivery lorries said an employee. We visited while on our holiday we were staying in benllech but what a fabulous garden centre food was top notch i had the home made quiche and coleslaw omg it was to die for so nice....... We did enjoy our time here but the plants are overpriced unfortunately there was a passiflora up at £30 and it had developed yellow leaves and basically needed some t.l.c so didnt buy it i waited intil we returned home and went to one of my local garden centres where i got my passiflora for £16. Id visit again if in the area overall its a little gem

What a wonderful afternoon tea my friend and I had. We were greeted by the lovely Rich who took us straight to our table and seated us. Our two afternoon teas arrived, one was vegetarian one was not, and compliments to the chef..it was all lovely. every morsel. But the star of the afternoon was was Rich. He checked in with us, refilled our drinks and provided our take away boxes. A true gentleman and a credit to your team. We'll definitely be back. Thank you Rich.
