Liverpool Arms Hotel in Isle of Anglesey

We came for our late evening meal with all the family reflecting the overall expenditure of the meal. It was money well spent the food was fantastic. Good portions were served on the meal including the starters were more than sufficient. Well cooked to perfection. The staff Very attentive, I would most certainly look forward to my next occasion to dining with relish

Delicious food, excellent service, brilliant old pub (in new style). We had Thai curry- spicy but not too hot, & braised beef, fell apart- fabulous!

This is a fantastic place to eat . Food is excellent and copious. I had a steak pie and I could hardly finish it. Still had room for sponge pudding though. Staff are good. Come here.

Amazing staff and you shown us kindness and great hospitality. Telephoned and asked if they had a quiet spot in the corner out of the way of other diners so we could bring our nervous rescue dog with us. The staff were very friendly and accommodating on a Wednesday night. For us it was a great experience as we got to have a romantic meal and also being able to bring our rescue to get him socialised with being out in public. See you again when we come back to the island.

Hi we stayed at the hotel for two days. On arrival we were kept waiting with our bags for about 5 plus minutes whilst the bar staff finished serving drinks. This was a little strange and not normal behaviour. Otherwise the staff were lovely. The place was clean. We had dinner there one evening which was of a good quality. For breakfast we had the full breakfast which was. good. The room was large and clean and was above average. A good visit and we would return.

What a fabulous place the roast dinnerwas awesome We both had roast beef cooked how I likei it (no pink) plenty of meat and so juicy and tasty 3 crispy good size roasties mash lovely yorkshire pud anda seperate dish of veg( red cabbage green beans carrots n cauli cheese) And a lovely tasty roastgravy The place was very busy This was the best roast Ive hadout in along time All thestaff were friendly, efficient and gave great service All drinks food n mustards brought very fast . This is a definate 10/10 wewill be back

Really nice hotel, amazing staff, also we ate dinner twice here and it was gorgeous on both nights! Breakfast wasn't included in our Booking.com deal but it looked nice. Our room was a decent size with 2 windows, so nice and bright. Only thing I wasn't really keen on was the room was really warm in the night and it's not possible to open the windows (very old)! It definitely didn't effect our stay though so we would book here again next time we are in Anglesey 😀

we didnt use the hotel, only went in for a drink & something to eat. staff were very friendly & helpful. food was really nice & at a good price. dog friendly

Food was lovely as was the pub and the staff.cant fault it.my only gripe is the pub allowing dogs at the tables while you're trying to eat and all you can hear is barking..I'm a dog lover but I don't agree with dogs in a pub where people are eating and relaxing.

Have eaten in and around beaumaris so many times and the Liverpool arms is always top of the list. The food is always great quality and really fairly priced, and the staff are lovely. Can't recommend it enough!

Another great meal and service. I had cod loin it was so nice. My husband had sea bass all cooked perfectly with great friendly service. The food never disappoints at this pub highly recommend.

Fabulous Sunday Roast, the food is hot and delicious, service is good and friendly and the extra gravy boat very much appreciated.

The food was truly amazing. Thank you for a superb experience, we will definitely be back at some point in the future. The staff were extremely attentive and looked after us throughout the evening.

Booked on booking.com inside pub as they couldn't match price. We where so disappointed when we sat on bed mattress so poor quality needs replacement. Offered another room but mattress the same. We had to leave as we would not of been able to sleep on it. Had to drive home. So upset as was really excited to stay in beaumaris. We Didn't get a refund either. So a very expensive trip to beaumaris.

Picked this restaurant after reading all the reviews, fancied some proper English food & this ticked all the boxes. Booked a table on the website earlier in the day & turned up to be greeted in a warm & friendly manner, we were shown to our table, provided with menus & also told about the specials board. There was plenty of choice of food available from the menu, we ordered fish, chips & peas & chips & burger, sizes of the plates were plentiful & well presented, both meals were lovely & it didn’t take long to demolish it all. We had 3 different people serve us & all of them were polite, friendly & professional. Great staff & a really good advertisement for the place. If you’re ever in this area, pop in for a bite to eat, you will love it.

This review is for the restaurant, not the hotel. I arrived at the hotel for the night too early to check in, so I had lunch in the pub until my room was ready. I needed a place to charge my phone which was nearly dead, and the server was happy to find me a table near a plug where I could juice it up. Food-wise the cod and chips were fine, and came out quickly from my time of order.

Overpriced food.£20 for frozen peas and frozen chips Ordered the Cajun chicken which was nice but the sides were of cheap quality Reminded me of Weatherspoons food to be honest Have eaten a few times over the years and previously fairly happy with the food Will not be back again

Love this little place. The food is always fresh and tasty with excellent service. We love Jess but have to say all the team are attentive and hard working. They cater for all dietary requirements and you come away feeling your custom is valued. I try something different to eat every time and I have never been disappointed. The food is cooked fresh and is superb, you must try here. Excellent value for money! Well done Team Liverpool Arms and management.

We booked the Liverpool arms for one night as it was our 27th wedding anniversary and just wanted a lovely weekend together we were greeted by lovely friendly staff it was an old hotel but had lots of character the room was clean and at the front of the hotel so we were surprised that we had a really great night's sleep we ate in the hotel the food was tasty....we would recommend a visit to this friendly hotel it's a lovely place to enjoy Beaumaris

We recently had a meal at The Liverpool Arms. Two of our party were gluten free. And the menu was very understandable. Beautiful food and excellent service

The crispy bacon wrapped around tasty sausages were the best pigs blankets I have ever tasted, and the Yorkshire was absolutely sublime! The friendly waitress brought 2 servings of extra gravy without fuss. I could not fault our meal, and it was excellent value for the amount of meat (they could probably get away with serving a tiny bit less meat even). I will 1000% be back :)

Proper, home cooked delicious pub grub! We had a great meal and one of our best during our week long holiday on Anglesey. Overall we found the choice of high quality eating out places on Anglesey a bit sparse but if you want good beer, tasty home cooked food in a traditional local pub the Liverpool Arms will serve you well. A special mention to the sea bass off the specials board - delicious!

Even being local we've never been to the Liverpool arms before , we booked for Sunday lunch but chose something different from the varied menu and specials board . We were shown to our table and asked whether we wanted drinks which came promptly then ordered food . That came very quickly and was delicious, very generous portions . We would recommend the Liverpool arms too anybody .

Stopped for evening meal. Not that inspiring from the outside, but interior is comfortable and homely. Biggest problem is nowhere to park, but there is a good size car park 5 minute walk away.

Try the steak and ale pie it's delicious 😋

Such a beautiful place in a beautiful area of Wales. Had a Sunday roast here with my mum it was lovely, food was hot and service was really fast 100% recommend coming here if your going to beaumaris.

First time we have stayed at The Liverpool Arms. We have throughly enjoyed our visit. Rooms were clean and comfortable. The food was lovely, fresh and hot. Breakfast was a set for the day meal. Plenty of choice for our evening meal. Location is good, access to amenities and lovely views. Weather was favourable. Enjoyed trip to Puffin Island. Visited local attractions. A lovely few days break to recharge batteries. Staff very pleasant. Experienced no issues. Would recommend. Look forward to visiting in the future.

Visited on a busy Saturday lunchtime. The staff were very efficient getting us seated and brought water for my dog. A very good menu and daily special board made our selections difficult because there were so many delectable menu items. Selections made, the food was delivered in good time. The two fish selections from the specials board were outstanding. The vegetarian option - mushroom stroganoff - was beautifully presented and delicately spiced. And finally, a 16oz Gammon (yes 16oz) which my son in law said was superb. It was nice to have the vegetable selection delivered on a separate “kidney” dish. The staff were attentive and friendly but respectful and not familiar. All round, an excellent meal at reasonable price. I would recommend if you are in Beaumaris.

Lovely food , nice friendly staff. We Really felt welcomed. Would recommend, for us particularly if you have dogs and we have two. Hope to revisit.

Fantastic, staff service and food.

Visited twice while on holiday. On both occasions we found the food to be tasty and well cooked. The Sunday roast was superb. My husband and I both had beef and turkey and the amount of meat was amazing. The staff were very welcoming and attentive. Will definitely be back next time we are on the island.

Me and my boyfriend just had the most delicious dinner at The Liverpool Arms. Excellent service, excellent food. What more can you ask for in Beaumaris. Book a table in advance is highly recommend. You can't come to Beaumaris and not have lunch or dinner in The Liverpool arms. You won't regret it. Neil

We’ve stayed a couple of times now and eaten here on several occasions. The rooms represent good value, a little dated but comfortable, and a bonus to have parking on site too especially in Beaumaris. Service from the staff is excellent always helpful, friendly, engaging, and seem happy in their work which is refreshing to see in recent times. Food is very tasty and freshly prepared with a wide choice. Prices are competitive with other competitors nearby. Consistently good and our go to place to eat in Beaumaris.

Straight forward food on offer, good service but as with most places these days, somewhat over priced

Allocated at the very top overlooking the front street. Constant traffic throughout evening and woken up at 6.00 am by recycling truck Room very cramped..Hotel very old and outdated. Management must be aware of noise levels but choose to let this room. Would not recommend thus hotel

Well done Sarah and team, met some friends from Australia for lunch, excellent choice. I sampled a superb Seabass well seasoned and presented, wifey chose Cod loin, friends Scampi and the Peppered beef with rice and chips, again well received. Well done, .....we will return 😎

We had a pleasant meal, but the quality of our meals could have been better. I chose sweet and crispy chilli beef. Too much sauce and was too sweet (and I have a sweet tooth) and the beef quite dry. I didn’t have pudding as none of the deserts are home made. The starter of a scotch egg surrounded by black pudding was delicious. The staff were very friendly.

My partner booked for my birthday, we were there from the 4th to the 7th of June, from the start we couldn't have been more welcomed, lovely staff great room on the top floor (bit heavy going with cases) view of the sea, the food and the choice of was great, we found Beaumaris really good, especially the tapas restaurant, lots of lovely pubs and places to eat, will visit again, thank you very much Angela and Simon From Caerphilly South Wales

Had lunch here , my wife had cod loin and enjoyed it very much, I had beef strips with mushrooms in a cream sauce nice!!!.will go back here soon.

An absolutely wonderful meal in a beautiful pub. The staff could not have been friendlier & more welcoming. The best steak pie I have ever had. Highly recommend.

Good selection for us as pescetarians. Had lunch and evening meal here in last few months and both occasions food was great, friendly staff and great value for money.

Called in for food on 19th may, I have severe food allergies to dairy and egg, this was no problem at all. The young man that served us explained all the dishes on the menu were at the back with the allergens listed which made this very simple. I had steak and It was cooked how I ordered it (medium) perfect, "Thank you chef". Service was excellent and all the staff were helpful and happy. We will definitely call again next time we're over in our camper

We came for tea during a week holiday and we're blown away by the service, the food, the atmosphere, kindness, dog friendly. Can highly recommend the Steak Pie, best I've had in a long time. All the plates on the table were completely empty. Highly recommended

Lovely, if a bit creaky - it's an old building - hotel in the centre of Beaumaris. If you're looking for five star luxury, this isn't for you. If you're looking for a comfortable bed, spacious room, and to be near everything, it's definitely worth a visit. The staff are really lovely, and the food superb. Please don't decide to eat here if you want your food five minutes after you order it, because it won't happen. Almost everything is freshly cooked to order, and is absolutely worth waiting for.

We went to The Liverpool Arms for food only as we live on the island. It's a dog friendly place. We went there for an evening meal. A cauliflower curry for me (served half rice/half chips) and a spinach and ricotta cannelloni for my mam. Both meals were followed by an ice cream sundae (Sorry no pics!) As you can see by the photos the portion sizes are great and the food was very tasty. Service was wonderful; a special mention and huge thank you to our server Jess who offered a very warm welcome to us and our dog Barney too. She gave him lots of fuss and provided a much needed bowl of water due to today's warm weather. Diolch yn fawr iawn. 10/10 - we will be back!! 🙂

Great food even for ceoliacs. The staff was excellent but make sure the staff understand what you ordered, especially when ordering gluten free food and only order bottled gluten free alcohol.

Spent two nights here, huge room with king size bed, nice bathroom with a bath/shower, staff very friendly, food was amazing, it's not often you can say you're stuffed from a salad lol, only a 2 min walk from the harbour too

Given the Liverpool Arms five stars 🌟 should be more really. Spent two nights in Beaumaris recently and had a meal in the Liverpool Arms both nights. The meals were absolutely amazing! Can't recall enjoying a meal as much as I did there. The staff are great 👍 too very friendly.

My son drove 160 miles to take me out for a.meal We decided on The Liverpool Arms because of a previous review I had seen about steak pies. We all has fish chips and mushy peas. Fish flaky , batter crisp and extremely tasty. Overall , together with excellent service I would recommend everyone to give it a try. I'm sure you won't be disappointed. Ps Italian lager was good.

Delicious Sunday roast today. Service prompt and efficient and served with a smile. Nothing too much trouble. Food was excellent with almost too much meat and the veg served in individual dishes which stopped the usual strain of trying to share equally out of one dish! Only £12.50 which was so reasonable too. Not been here before and the surroundings and ambience warm and inviting

Revisiting a year later affer our first visit and we weren't disappointed. Family of 6 adults. A warm welcome on our arrival, staff, lovely and professional. Beers amazing and the food was outstanding, all cooked to perfection. A good selection on the 'specials board' touch choice, which got the digestive juices flowing. Two fish dishes were delicious, chicken special, absolutely fabulous, spinach and ricotta dish, very tasty. We would highly recommend a visit when staying on Anglesey.

Lovely pub for a lunch time pint and meal. Friendly service, a well served pint and a lovely brunch fry up cooked to a high standard. By today's standards a reasonable price, thoroughly recommend

Dog friendly pub , we were made very welcome with our pooch , we didn't book a table we just arrived around 6pm , the menu had a good choice of meals I opted for the crispy beef Chinese style and the wife had lasagna we were both really happy with our food and would recommend this place highly and it didn't break the bank food was reasonably priced at around £16 per meal

Went for Sunday lunch as recommended by friends. Did not disappoint the staff were so friendly and helpful. Dog friendly restaurant staff brough my dog water as soon as we sat dow. Food was delicious fabulous roast beef/turkey dinner so tasty. Fish amazing and my grandson loved his burger. We would definitely go there again, great atmosphere as you go in and such a comfortable feeling loved it x

This place was a great find on our short visit to Beaumaris. The staff are lovely, the food fresh and tasty and the restaurant area was nice and warm on a cold winter evening. We had the soup followed by duck from the specials board which was cooked to perfection. Actually it was one of the few times we’ve had duck in the UK when it wasn’t overcooked. Would definitely recommend to anyone coming to the area.

Had Sunday lunch here food was really tasty and plenty of it, staff really friendly and helpful, lovely atmosphere. Good value for money .

My husband ordered fish and chips I ordered steak pie from the main menu. I remembered how lovely it was last time we ate there. It's the best steak pie I have eaten out. It was a big slice packed full of lean chunks of steak. Served with chips and a selection of fresh vegetables. We were served by Sarah who was a lovely polite member of staff as was her colleague. A must go too if you are in the area you won't regret it. Our only complaint there were too many dogs there. We were surrounded by loads of smelly wet dogs it distracted us from our meal. There should be a separate part for owners and dogs. We are dog owners but won't take them out when we dine. Even though the pub is trying its best to please customers we were not pleased on that visit.

Second time we have stayed at the Liverpool Arms and the accommodation, friendly staff and excellent food are highly recommended.

Great atmosphere nice staff and excellent food.. Good portions reasonable price for the quality. The pie is reccomend stuffed with luscious meat and gravy..... the lasagne is one of the best we've had .. And the christmas pannini doesn't sound too good but it's fab.... Service was a little slow. It was a busy time we understand that and food was cooked fresh which takes time . But there were people who ordered after we did were served food before us ? A little niggle for us ? But don't be put off ask where your food is if it's delayed.. All in all a great place to eat loved it...

Stayed in this fabulous Inn for a couple of nights while travelling with friends and what a treat it was! Quirky, olde worlde charm but still comfortably modern. Breakfast was excellent as was the evening meal and all of the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. A perfect home from home, many thanks.

Too many dogs!! Not hygienic and I’m allergic. We had to move! 3 dogs in one small area! Has lost it’s charm and character- very sad Food was ok

Booked ahead for an evening out. Food was delicious. We had chicken goujons which were piping hot. Hubby had 16oz gammon which was huge and so thick, he loved it ! I had chicken curry which was really nice and not too spicy but very tasty ! Service was excellent and staff all happy and helpful Would book here again

This is primarily a pub with rooms. There is parking at the rear for approx 8 cars but it is a tight squeeze. Check in was in the bar and we were shown the door upto the rooms by a very friendly lady. Room 5 had a neutral decor and was clean and provided everything needed for a comfortable stay - tea coffee TV toiletries. Unfortunately the window would not close and you could hear the adjacent room from the bathroom. Would i stay agsin? Well the hotel is centrally located with parking and minutes from the waters edge and is clean and presentable so there is no reason not to but it just lacked refinementment and attention to detail with paint on the windows and dust on the chair legs.

First time visit, excellent food and great service. Will definitely return next time we are in Beaumaris. Would also recommend to friends and family.

Since finding the Liverpool Arms while on holiday last year, we always make sure we visit here when in the area and this has now been the fifth visit in a little over a year. Like ‘groundhog day’ but in a good year, the Liverpool arms is always the same. Same great food and same great service. We usually eat from the specials and can’t fault any of the food we’ve had from it. I’ll definitely be back again.

We chose to eat here because of the TA reviews. The specials board looked particularly good. Unfortunately, the only positives were the lovely staff who were welcoming and friendly. The breaded brie was bought in, very basic and not hot all the way through. The goujons were similar. Mains: peppered beef ... just chewy, under seasoned. Could take it or leave it. Chicken special was so much garlic as to be inedible and it was poured all over the plate. This was from a daughter who will eat raw garlic!! The cocktails were premixed... the mojito had no mint and tasted like mouth wash!

Lovely place for food, the staff were all very professional and pleasant. The food was very nice and we really enjoyed the duck. So much choice on the menu!
