A nice tasty lunch for the family in cosy surroundings with friendly service. All enjoyed the soup and toasted sandwiches. Some lovely looking cakes too though we didn’t have room on this occasion.

Quick service, good value and tasty food, hard to beat! I was the only person in the shop but was served quickly, by a friendly young lady

I had a great experience here ! It was recommended to me for breakfast . It’s the first ‘cafe’ I’ve been to in a long time that insists you don’t sit down until the table has been cleaned ! Points for that ! Friendly staff ! Delicious, hot breakfast and accommodating - I could make my own. The washrooms are clean and accommodating for customers. Thank you !

Stick to tea. The coffee ain't great and frankly the place could do with a good clean. Service patchy too. It was the only place open though…

Closed down a couple of years ago! Sadly a wasted visit, although lots of produce as now just a farm shop, very over priced

Advertised a gluten free chippy but won't serve gluten free after 7pm, the stuff was rude and couldn't even be bothered to put my food in a bag 😉

Booked 2 nights 27th and28th of December the placed looked shut when we pulled on the car park. However we were met and was allowed to get into our room early. On entering the room it was like walking into a fridge!! But we gave the benefit of the doubt that we we were early. It got to 3.30 and still no heating on we went to reception we had been a couple of times before but the shutters were down and there wasn’t anybody around!! So when we found someone we were told it would come on at 4 it never did !! So at 5.30 we went down again and explained it hadn’t come on the on !! A man appeared asked the girl the room number no interaction with us !! When we went back to our room we found a storage heater outside again no communication!! We were both feeling unwell with the start of a cold /flu and a cold uninvitng room only accerated these symptoms so we checked out next morning.so disappointed we have and members of our family have stayed many times here such a lovely position and great for the dog will think twice again!!!

2 of the main courses were unavailable. The vegetables for the lamb course were unavailable. Alternative vegetables were given which were undercooked and cold. Potato was tasteless and cold . Did mention it to waiter whose response was sorry. £24 for a piece of lamb is unacceptable as I didn't eat the vegetables or potatoes.

The 1815 Bar was nice tight and clean. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Unfortunately the meal was at the other end of the scale. My wife’s meal was just swimming in grease and my fish and chips (£19), was a frozen piece fish in batter. When you cut it all fat came out of it. They were both terrible. We both left about 3/4 of our meal. We did mention or complaint to the staff, but nothing happened. I notice that there are no recent reviews, maybe it has all changed since last year. I would say it does now not deserve the 4star review trip advisor shows and it should be recategorised as a 1 or at the most 2 stars.

This was our second Christmas Lunch here, and both were very enjoyable. The food and service was good. We were totally satisfied with everything. Nothing much more to be said!

Went on Saturday night. It was absolutely appalling. Zero service, barely any staff and super inexperienced, starters awful, long wait for mains, so long we had to walk out. Never again. I would love a refund for what we did order. We had to go home and make our own dinner. Hugely disappointing.

After somewhere for Sunday lunch with our multigenerational family, The Llewelyn was suggested. We weren’t sure what to expect, especially as we arrived at the very start of service and the restaurant was very quiet. Clearly used by guests of the hotel for breakfast and buffets also - which is fine - it initially felt a little uncomfortable as quite empty but as other guests joined us, the atmosphere lightened. The menu is limited for lunch - we think they may have previously had a carvery buffet? - with just roast main courses and a few pudding choices, plus restricted kids menu, but portions were very generous. As some of our party were vegetarians, we weren’t sure what the ‘vegetable and seed roast’ would be, but it was delicious. Alongside the main roast - which came with roast potatoes, red cabbage, carrots and parsnips plus a huge Yorkshire pudding - was a separate dish of lovely cauliflower cheese plus extra gravy. Another member of the party wasn’t a vegetarian, and we were quite surprised when another dish of cauliflower cheese came along with another jug of extra (vegetarian) gravy! We couldn’t manage all the extra veg between the three of us, even though it was delicious. We were too full for desert, but left happy and full of praise for The Llewelyn, definitely a Criccieth Sunday lunch special!

A most welcoming local pub with an excellent chef who happily adapted starters into a main for me - veggie! Although menu catered for everyone. Mine hosts were so cheerful & hardworking - many could take a leaf out of their books! The place was absolutely buzzing with people of all ages - locals & holidaymakers having the time of their lives singing along to the live musician of the evening who sang everything from Beatles/John Denver to modern day...talented chap! We will definitely be back - next time we may stay if not during the summer months, perhaps for an Autumn/Spring walking holiday!

Attended this place today with my family. Absolutely vile how my husband was treated and spoke to in front of other family's and small children and in front of my child with extreme autism by the owner who serves carvery to the extent staff had to tell there boss to carm his behaviour. This was all because my husband put 5 stuffing balls on his plate and the owner disgustingly started to use extreme foul language which was uncalled for then removed by hand which wernt covered by gloves for hygiene by his bare hands and put the stuffing balls back in the pot. I approached the staff to see was there any limits for the food item mentioned above as when paying for the meal you have to pay extra for pigs in blankets we was told no via staff so my husband then went to get the item and put it back on his plate to have the owner aggressively slam the carving knife down in front of my husbands hands this was in-front of other customers and this is were staff intervened and told him to carm down as children was crying due unhinged aggressive disgusting behaviour by the owner whilst he was swearing. When I approached a member of staff I felt as they was in shock by what they had just seen. This behaviour is unacceptable by all means. I doesn't give me the option of leaving a no star in order for my to write this review I had to select the minimum
