The best restaurants serving British food in North Wales

5 of us visited on Saturday night for a friend's birthday. Lovely friendly atmosphere in the bar, even though Wales lost the rugby, with some excellent beers on draught and some very nice Merlot. Restaurant was lovely and warm considering the monsoon outside. All main courses were served quickly by friendly staff and all were lovely. I can thoroughly recommend the gammon from the local butcher; thick and not salty. Everyone else enjoyed their meals. Couple of us had sweets and these were also lovely. And note, the pub is totally bilingual!

We had a quick lunch here before the distillery tour. Wow, what a fabulous place for lunch. Lovely server, and all our dishes were delicious and felt like excellent value for money. The rarebit was Fantastic! Thank you so much 💓

As guests at the hotel, we visited on our last night with no problems being seated without a booking. We both had starters and mains (steaks) and all good ordered was absolutely beautiful. We came away very full and very impressed.

A spectacular hotel. We feel lucky to have had the opportunity to have stayed here. Rooms were spotlessly clean, the bathrooms were fantastic (had a lovely long soak in the roll top baths). Boutique hotels try to recreate these features, this hotel has them for real. The staff were so polite, professional and helpful, showing us to the outside swimming lake and sauna. We've eaten here before and the food has been great. Sadly, tonight, although the fish was tasty, the chips were dry and hard. Tasted like they had been standing in the heated area for more than long enough. Couldn't be bothered to drive back from Holyhead to complain.

What a lovely, traditional little tea room. We spotted this place as we were passing and decided to give it a go for a quick lunch. Husband and wife owners served us with two lovely homemade soups - one mushroom and one carrot and sweet potato, both were gorgeous.

The receptionist behind the counter I think her name was Sarah as one of the customers had said to me that was sat next to me she was quite rude and when each time when answering the phone calls rolling her eyes 👀 and was mocking the customers ringing to place the food disgusting behaviour

Do not bother! Ordered at 17.00 received at 19.10 with some of the order missing tried to phone for over 1 hour after with no answer calls refused and this isn’t the first time this has happened…we won’t be using any more!!!! More than 1 chance given!!!

Simply the best chippie in the area. Delicious! Lots of choices, chicken curry, fish, sausages in batter, onion rings and so much more to offer!

Arriving on a dark damp evening I entered a beautiful welcoming hallway. I loved the cosy public rooms with roaring fires and an honesty bar. I was quickly relaxing in a squishy sofa with my book and a glass of wine. The bedroom was stylishly furnished and the bed super comfortable The cooked breakfast was superb and set me up for my hike up Snowdon

We called in for lunch after visiting a local caravan site which was closed for lunch! and we were not disappointed, the food was great value and good quality, it was a nice sunny day so we ate outside & enjoyed the view. Very friendly traditional pub.

Ellos intentan hacer de este un restaurante especial, pero realmente no lo es. Diseño, las vistas y el ambiente son muy sencillas. Servicio es sincero, pero confundido. El menú es bueno y variado, pero la calidad de la comida es mediocre como pre-postres empacados y una selección de quesos en envolturas de cera. Podría haber sido mucho mejor.

Stayed and ate here after escaping from a terrible nearby campsite. The room was cheap for such short notice and was surprisingly posh, although the absence of a wardrobe was a bit annoying. As to the food, it's fine for what it is. There's a fairly limited set menu and the portions aren't massive by Welsh standards, but it was all very well done and the service was quick and efficient. A good budget choice.

Our server struggled to fill the cones and the venue is slightly down at heel but.. Interesting flavour combinations, very tasty ice cream and worth the treat if £3.85 for a single cone
