The best restaurants serving British food in North Wales

Entered the shop at 2:45 to be told "we are closed, I've got to do the school run". Loads of cakes on the counter behind her, would have taken 30 seconds to sell us two cakes. Rotten service. We buy cakes here a couple of times a week, but won't be doing so again. Very disappointed.

Not a great selection of food, cremated our pies in micro they were un eatable also their COVID MAD ! They have cones outside door so you can't go into the shop to browse at mags you have to try & spot what you would like from the door... They even made an old lady stand outside "Behind cones!" Disgusting... We won't be going back...

At the end of the Penrhyn Bar & Crill (which has plenty of outdoor seating), then Penrhyn Ice Cream Parlour has a good selection of ice creams - they even have ice cream for dogs. Covid regulations are observed; hand sanitiser is available and masks must be worn. Outside seating, at socially distanced tables, is available and, if you get tired of queuing for your ice cream, there are games machines available.

Little cafe with friendly staff. Lovely selection of cakes and pastries. No vegan options except baked beans, chips or salad. Food freshly cooked and was lovely

I loved the rooms and the beds were really comfortable. The food in the attached restaurant and bar was excellent. The Lady who served us was extremely nice.

We spent a few days here as part of a special birthday celebration. Our hosts, Angela and Brian, were so friendly and considerate. They couldn't do enough for us to make our stay most memorable. The hotel was warm and cosy with a roaring g log fire. The food was delicious and of a very high standard which all added to the enjoyment of our special event. The situation of the hotel is stunning. If you want a restful and peaceful stay with excellent food and hospitality then we would certainly recommend that you visit this lovely hotel. What a great place to have food, relax with friends and watch the adrenaline junkies do there thing… or join in the adventure and leave with some epic memories!!

Annemarie and Rob are such friendly host! No effort was too much to create a marvelous experience for us. We walked the Offa’s Dayke Path and had our best sleep and bedfast at the Tafarn y Wean. Beds are very comfy and clean and we had a choice of 3 kinds of breakfast. We choose the scrambled eggs with salmon and also the granola yoghurt and croissant. Both were delicious and kept us on our feet the whole way to Prestatyn

Hidden gem in Leeds! we stumbled upon on this place out of chance and will be a returning visitor.

Very expensive - >£8 for a bottle of smirnoff ice and bottle of hooch. not busy and half people (bar persons partners?) just seem like they are on drugs or dealing. Not the vibe but maybe that's just Rhyl.

£9 for fish and chips. Over priced and poor selection of food for a fish and chip shop.They have an extensive menu but hardly anything ready. The fish was grey which indicates it's poor quality.

Cannot fault this lovely venue! Really enjoyed the amazing food, served promptly and simultaneously considering there was 10 of us! Would definitely recommend. The light bite was more than enough and very reasonable priced. Staff lovely. Thank you. X
