We waited almost 1 hours for lunch. We asked how long it would be after waiting 40 minutes and never got an answer after the woman walked to the kitchen the cafe wasn’t busy, infact it was quiet. The breakfast wasn’t anything special… it was expensive for what it was and wasn’t what we’d call a large breakfast.

Soup and sandwich. Soup was cold (fridge cold). This was taken away and microwaved (still had my black pepper on the surface). Sandwiches had dry stale bread.

We have visited today and honestly had such a poor experience the pork bap featured what looked to be reheated pork left over from something and was dry with far too much fat, served with chicken bistro gravy and apple sauce that wasn't nice either. The chicken breast burger didn't feature a chicken breast it was a very small mini fillet where the tomato was larger than the chicken. We topped this off with a rock hard slice of red velvet Cake which has clearly been frozen and then kept in a fridge too long as was dry and would have made a great weapon if thrown similar to a brick. We would have expected so much better of a farm shop cafe and have came to this cafe so many times for coffee it's now tainted my experience.

I used to love this place, however it is all looking a bit scruffy, unloved and I think the owners are resting on their laurels, as not many other places to go locally. Greenhouse/covered patio area at rear of cafe, weeds growing inside, bamboo window shades held up with black bodge tape, paving dirty, tables sticky to the touch. Outside on the patio area, kids bikes etc all over the place - which I don’t have a problem with but at 9:30 am should at least look tidy, again weeds all over, scruffy pot bound and dead plants for sale, racking for plants piled up all over the place. Pond full of weed (not their fault) but the big piece of floating wood and what looks like a discarded sign are! Breakfast was okay, however why the small plastic pots for beans etc. A shame to see it as it is, as the place could be something special. Hopefully it becomes so once again. Ps. staff lovely, but not enough of them.

I used to really like it here, great location, dog friendly and used to be good quality food but I feel like over the past couple of years, the quality has gone down but the prices haven't :-( During my last visit I just fancied toast, you used to get lovely chunky bread and I think it cost about £3.95, this time I got 1 slice of a regular medium loaf and it was only toasted on one side :-( My husband took it back for me to get re-toasted but also asked if it was meant to be just 1 slice as that was steep for £3.95, he was told yes but could buy more if I wanted more so he complained and came back with 2 slices but still, they were just slices of a medium loaf. I used to feel like it was alright value for money if you were getting nice freshly baked bread or locally sourced products but recently it feels like all the breakfast items have gone down in quality. We decided to give it another go (in case it was a one off) but this time we ordered lunch items rather than breakfast so I went for avocado on toast which was better in terms of quality but this was £9.95!!!!! There are other nearby cafes where you can get this simple meal for £5 of less, I wouldn't have minded even say £6.95 given that avocado is probably a premium item but almost a tenner just feels steep for what you get. Sorry Susans, not for me anymore. The staff are always lovely and friendly, it's just the price of food for what you get isn't worth it anymore.

I recently visited Susan's for lunch having previously enjoyed meals there. The sandwich and chips ordered were lovely but I was a bit disappointed that the table was dirty, tacky to touch and the black weave style placemats had food/crumbs ground into them. I have eaten here 5 or 6 times, most recently a couple of weeks ago. The food is always freshly prepared, hot, well presented, and most of all tastes great. It has always been busy when I’ve visited, but this has never slowed down or affected the service at all.The disabled toilet is large, well equipped, and has been spotlessly clean every time I’ve visited. All round a lovely place for lunch, breakfast, afternoon tea, or just a slice of cake. Many farm shops and their cafe’s are often quite expensive, this is not the case here where things are very reasonably priced. Had heard great reports about afternoon tea here so went to meet my friends full of excitement. Unfortunately I left a lot of the afternoon tea as it was really below par. Positives were the staff were friendly & the tea had a good flavour! Negatives were the sandwiches did not offer a lot of choice, (ham, egg & cheese) and were just ok in terms of flavour & presentation. Scone was nice. Cakes were a disappointment, one was a strange Christmas style and flavour very odd for summer, another very dark strong chocolate. I personally felt that £15 a head was too much for what was offered.

There isn't enough staff to keep this place clean and uncluttered during the busy times. Trays of teas and coffees backing up to be given out - I wouldn't be happy if I had ordered a hot drink. Coffee would have been cold and tea over brewed. The food we ordered was ok. Panini's for £7 - really expensive , served with a few crisps, bit of salad and a tablespoon of coleslaw . There is also a MASSIVE problem with wasps. May not be the "in thing" but it would be helpful to have a wasp / fly attractor to dispose of these pests

Only been here for breakfast so can not say anything about other food. You order at the till and everything is brought to you're table when it is ready, served by friendly helpful staff, there are papers to read free of charge and a terrace outside and a covered terrace. it's very popular and busy especially at school drop off hours as mums meet here for a coffee, and at weekends. Not the cheapest cafe you can find but you don't mind paying that little bit more for quality.

We have never had to pre-book before and this WAS NOT advertised in the cafe / on the menu / on the website. We've been here many times now and although its a lovely coffee shop with great staff, the quality of food can be inconsistent. The coffee has always been great, the breakfasts can be a bit hit and miss, the bacon is clearly pre-cooked well in advance and left on the side because it's always tough and dry. Sausages are not the quality one would expect from a farm shop, they're just cheap standard cash & carry ones. The price of breakfasts is not cheap so I expect better. There is always a nice selection of cakes on offer but on a few occasions now, they've been quite stale and dry. Sandwiches are always lovely, packed with filling and really tasty and fresh. Sometimes you're given a courtesy biscuit with your coffee, sometimes not? The staff are uniformed and always have been friendly and courteous buthave quite a few times mixed up our orders (that to be fair have not been complicated). We will still visit though as it still offers a nice pleasant atmosphere with lovely coffee. Being able to visit the farm shop afterwards is always a bonus.

Called in to ask if we could start our car club run here - about 20 people turning up about 11am for coffee. No problem was the reply, and it wasn't. We had great service, great coffee, delivered promptly by very nice staff. Several members said they would return as they were so impressed. We did the following week for lunch which was also very good.A little hidden gem.

While travelling from home to Bala we had a quick look on Trip Advisor to see where we could get a decent lunch nearby. Susan's came up as just a few minutes away and only just off the route so we took a detour.Susan's itself is situated in the back of an unassuming farm shop with an unsurfaced car park. The cafe itself is quite large and nicely furnished with tables and chairs plus a couple of sofas down at the end. On arrival, we immediately received attention from staff who left us with the menus. We all chose different items: ham and tomato omelette, egg and cress sandwich, baked mushrooms with a Welsh Rarebit glaze and an all day vegetarian breakfast.Food arrived quickly and everyone was very happy, to say the least! My omelette was large and fluffy with big chunks of real ham, the sandwich came with a good salad and crisps and the baked mushrooms were hot and tasty. This is a great little place with really good food, friendly staff and very reasonable prices. I'm glad we found it.

We stumbled upon Susan's coffee shop by following signs for the farm shop, and so glad we did...considering the size of the place, it offered a wide selection of meals, we chose to take ours in the greenhouse (which was a little warm for me but ideal for my wife!) although there is outside seating, or inside as well. Lovely food offering very good value, will definitely come again if passing by.

Just been charged £9:30 for a pint of fosters shandy? A bit pricey in my mind. On and off me and the wife have been here a number of times mostly for Sunday lunch but I don't think we will be returning.

We went as a group of residents for a day Out and it was great...we had a carvery meal which was excellent followed by games of bingo and play your cards right then there was an entertainer on so we could dance or just sing a long to the music. Bar drinks were very reasonably priced

They only accept cash. the fish was excellent and is always cooked to order. Chips not as good and not hot enough. Good sized portions. They had run out of pickled eggs.
