Mill Tavern in Flintshire

Booked online for 6.30pm. When we arrived we were told the kitchen was closed and they dont receive the online bookings. They agreed to cook us something, not much choice, we had burger/chips and snotty egg/chips. Asked about pudding and got told her shift finishs in 10 minutes so we could not have one. What a joke. Would not reccomend or go again.

We ordered 4 meals. 1st 1 came sausage and mash. Then, 5 minutes later, the rest of the food. But couldn't complain about the food as it was spot on. But it would have been better if all 4 came at the same time.

Since my lad signed for Flint Town this season My family and I call for a drink in the Mill Tavern before each game. What a fantastic pub we've discovered. Then, today, as it's an early KO we've had the breakfast that they serve between 10am -1pm week days and 9 - 12 weekends. I highly recommend giving this a go. Absolutely delicious. 5 star food hygiene rating ✔️ Great food ✔️ Great staff ✔️

Took myself and my two children for Sunday dinner today. Booked a last minute reservation over Facebook, which they accommodated. We had two Sunday roasts (1 beef & one children’s chicken dinner) as well as a children’s chicken nuggets, chips and beans. The portion sizes were really big, even the children’s sizes. The food was delicious but ultimately our eyes were bigger than our stomachs so we didn’t clear the plates but of course there was room for pudding. Which again was delicious. Staff were really friendly and accommodating, bringing the children over some pencils to colour and ensuring our meals were to our liking. We highly enjoyed our visit today and we will be back. Thank you very much to the hard work and dedication the staff put into running such a successful business keep up the good work!

Been for breakfast this morning. Food was delicious quick service good atmosphere. Had the mega breakfast it was huge

called in for lunch whilst passing, had southern fried chicken with southern fried gravy....delicious! Great atmosphere in the pub, friendly polite staff.

Booked table on line. Had email accepting the booking. On arrival the only thing they had was burgers. Totally unacceptable. Would give zero stars if I could.

Place is dirty, food is overpriced and awful! Chips were terrible looked like they had been reheated a million times, egg was like rubber, and Pepsi was flat. Greasy spoon food with pub prices won’t be returning!

Went for lunch and it was terrible , I ordered scamp and chips , the scamp was fine but the chips. were inedible I think they had been pre cooked hours before then 're fried resulting in very hard chips ,also included were mushy peas which were a solid lump . I will never go there again , it was a total waste of money

Was there for a wake ,a)l ok ,but when a wake arrives more staff required for initial Rush, that would be my only quib!

Booked a table for 8pm. When myself and partner arrived we waited 10 minutes for the 1 member of staff to come through from the very busy bar to tell us that the chef had finished at 6pm. The place was dirty and smelly. Confused as the professional online booking system and menu does not reflect the reality of the place.Will not return.

I love Mill Tavern great family friendly atmosphere. Great place to take the kids for tea very welcoming and always greeted with a smile from the lovely land lady. Food is delicious and always a winner with my 6 and 8 year old.

Popped in here since we heard it served good food. However, since it was hot, the chef had gone home and the kitchen was closed. The advertising boards were still outside. Not very customer friendly. Don't people in Flint eat in the summer?

Food was good, reasonably priced and served quickly. If anything there was not a great choice of ales for me as a passing thru visitor but this place obviously was the local pub for the area catering to them.

A last minute decision to go for out for tea... booked us in (5 adults and 2 kids)... we all enjoyed our meals.

We called in as the kids were at a party in the leisure centre. We had a Thai curry and a tikka. Both were huge and delicious. Staff member was lovely and provided a warm welcome and made sure we were happy during our stay Highly recommend Tuesday around 5pm Didn’t get a picture but it was huge and well presented

Truly awful. There were only 6 people in the lounge for Wales match & one of them was very drunk and loudly swearing and shouting about a big win from his gambling on the match. Guinness was fine and barmaid helpful but a dire place - we won't be back 👎👎

Love sunday dinners and mad Monday. Visited recently for sunday roast. Firstvtime since lockdown. Good physical distancing in place. Hand sanitizers and cleaning of tables in place. Friendly staff and lovely food as always

it's are wedding anniversary today, sadly we couldn't go out to to celebrity, But the wife had great idea, order 2 roast dinners, to take out, we both love them, good idea by wife, and good food from the Mill Tavern

About to be taken over but still a nice little pub, situated on Northrop road a little out of town but ok for a nice walk to get to it, the mill has just started entertainment which can only be good for the town, good selection of beers and spirits.also has a food menu

Visited here tonight well first time we been what can i say great food great freindly staff .Can highly reccomend this pub food was really nice my pie was full of steak and pastry was nice my wife had classic burger that was so nice and home made chunky chips too yummy .Would not hesitate to go back if you havent been go .

We called in on Monday and there was a Monday special of £5 for any main meal. I had a rump steak and paid £2.50 supplement to add scampi and £1.50 for a pepper sauce. My husband had gammon and paid £1.50 for a sauce . With 2 bottles of fruity cider the bill came to £21.50. The food was very good. The chips were very tasty and the staff were friendly, will definitely go back .

Xmas eve myself and family booked in for food, a whopping 32 of us.... each of us all picking our meals, some been the same but mostly different meals.... the food came out and as usual it was DELICIOUS, very tasty and well presented, great service as usual on what was a VERY BUSY day.

A lovely place to have a drink and meal. Food is great and extensive choice to choose from on the menu. Even do coffee and tea for a change. Good atmosphere and staff are always pleasant friendly and helpful highly recommend enjoy.

Best Sunday Roast Beef Dinner Around. Its best to be early for the beef because its a popular dish, 5* all day long.

The Mill is now part of a franchise that serves frozen food as standard.. Gone is the previous menus, in is the new Generic Fried food Menu.New owners, new look, new menu, not a bad thing if.. and only if.. the kitchen actually knows how to manage a large party. We had booked this venue for a celebration lunch, party of 25 covers (including 4 children) - first the booking details got last, my daughter in law had to go in to ensure the details were found - miracously the details found... Pre-ordered 80% of meals.. we were in for just after 12pm.. had to call manager as the venue not open even though booking accepted for 12pm... Tables in function room not set.. well you get the room free but you have to make look like you want.. good luck... Did I mention the room is free for your function.. catch is .. all food from the menu, no music, you sort tables and chairs.. not an issue in normal circumstances but.. let's just say that this venue should not be taking bookings for large parties... Food not pre-prepared even if it is frozen.. you order ahead and there is no guarantee you will get the food you ordered... Food gets served by staff that have no idea what they are serving. Drinks served in dirty glasses ( we returned 2).Let's say you should be able to do a cheese toastie, but even that arrived unmelted.. 2 slices toasted bread and not melted cheese and onion... Ran out of items from several orders - management excuses were that staff arrive at 12 and would not know they ran out.. oh! Better still, they had another party of 25 last night and this party ate everything.. really?! It is up to the restaurant to ensure if you take bookings for large parties and the food is booked, then communicate there is a shortage or problem.. before serving food to other guests.. I can not recommend this venue.. pity Flint needs a venue that can cater for intimate smaller parties, looking at alternatives now..Pictures enclosed.. the best food was the cupcakes baked by my very pregnant daughter in law... Dried Chicken combo and part cooked chips.. the cheese melt after being returned to kitchen so it could be toasted without the sweet potato fries ordered... They ran out...

My daughter in law booked the room for her baby shower. My wife and daughters went. I have had nothing but complaints about the food, drinks and service since they got home. 4 hours and counting

This should have been a day to celebrate the upcoming addition to the family. My daughter in law booked the venue and deposit paid.. should have known we were heading for trouble when they misplace the booking and the deposit.. 80% of order placed a week ago after they miracously found it, room "free" but you have to order a la carte.. this facility takes bookings for groups (ours was booked for 25 covers including 4 children). However this is where the fun begins, you are limited to a time slot, orders are not prepared when asked for, drinks served in dirty glassware, missing orders as they have run out of dishes.. the excuse.. staff come in at 12 and would not know we ran out and the clincher... We had another party of 25 yesterday and they ate everything - if you take party bookings it is the restaurant duty to have staff in early enough check stocks and communicate issues BEFORE starting to serve and then oops... Waitress was obviously not trained and was not the most communicative ... In all not impressed and will not recommend

Nice pub bit pricy on drinks but good range clean spacious bright and airy modern decor and staff are a good laugh thay do serve food but can't comment as never eaten ther my guis would be that it's nice all in all I'd recommend it

Nice little pub, seems to be getting a lot busier lately, I called in one day just for one, but it seems nice enough, a favorite with Flints young generation especially on the weekends. A little out of gown for me though.

The staff we're extremely friendly ,food was good for the price. I'd go back in the future.

Can’t believe what my daughter was served yesterday Supposed to be a full breakfast No bacon beans or tomato I think this is the worst meal.I have ever seen

Visited this pub while I was visiting friends for my birthday the food was excellent good price too.. Very friendly staff and vicky owner was really nice.. I do plan to return next time we visit Flint again

We called in after looking for somewhere for lunch in an area we didn’t know. There was a lovely friendly feeling to the inn. As it was Friday my husband had fish and chips and I had scampi. The food was hot and tasty and served very quickly. For a decent meal at a reasonable price, this inn was a good choice

After very poor meal last year,was assured that our next meal would be excellent,new chef,etc. Table booked for 8 on Wed 10th April at 7 p.m. on arrival had to wait over 20 mins to be served our drinks at bar - only 1 member of staff on duty to serve in bar,games room,take orders for food and serve - worked so hard all night,After waiting another 20 mins for orders to be taken,was told no waiter service,order at bar,I wrote down details then was asked for payment ! food not good,missing items.Still waiting reply from Management after complaint

Not even a 1 star !! Well i can honestly say that was the worst sunday lunch ive ever had. Cold !! Even the microwaved mash and veg disgusting. Dad couldnt cut his beef!! Soggy yorkshire puddings !! Then to be told no bakewell tart for dad. So embarrassed. Then to have to listen to baby shark cos mothers cant entertain their kids without technology. Then screaming kids !! EVER AGAIN !

Not even worth a 1 star. well first time going for sunday lunch and the last. the meat you couldnt cut never mind eat. the yorkshire pudding was soggy, and the veg was crunchy as hell. to top it off they didnt have dessert, and also had to send some one the shop for milk. we had to listen to baby bloody shark, as mothers had it playing on a phone so they could drink wine HOW RUDE. i wouldnt waste your money on a soggy undercooked sunday dinner.
