The Usk & Railway is a must to try if you are in driving distance of Sennybridge, the locals are very friendly, we were in the area for 2 nights and fully expected to eat in 2 different places for evening meal each night, having eaten here on the Friday we returned on the Saturday! The food quality, presentation & taste was excellent, the service was great, all of the meals we ate over the weekend were fabulous, an absolute must to visit and eat!

Thank you again to The Harp for a wonderful stay. We met the new owners Mel and Martin who looked after us brilliantly. Delightful hotel rooms warm clean and everything you could need. And the food is excellent good choice on the menu. Breakfast great choices especially the English breakfast. Food is hot and served with a smile, nothing is too much trouble for Mel and Martin. Lots to do and see around The Harp if you have not been itâs well worth visit. Get clear skies and look up you will see the Milky Way. Great parking and the prices are reasonable will definitely be going back

We booked a table here whilst we were staying in the area. I am gutted this pub is not nearer to home, as we would be regulars if it was! The food was fantastic. It is by far the best pub food I've had in a long time. The curry was excellent, as was the home made pies. The kids portions were huge and the chips home cooked and plentiful. We went in during Halloween and the pub was really well decorated and there was a fantastic atmosphere. I would recommend booking as when we called in it is clearly a well used local venue, for all the right reasons. Staff were friendly, pub and toilets were clean. Couldn't ask for more. If we are in the Builth area again, we will be heading here for food!

I recently had the pleasure of dining with friends at The Vine Tree in Llangattock, and from the moment we stepped inside, we were struck by the beautiful decor and warm, inviting atmosphere. The service was exceptional, with the waitstaff promptly seating us and taking the time to explain the menu in detail. For starters, we enjoyed two duck parfaits, fried chicken in XO sauce and miso, and Tom Yum musselsâeach dish bursting with flavor. For the mains, we had a perfectly cooked dry-aged sirloin with oxtail, braised Roscoff, parsley, and bone marrow sauce, two chicken, wild mushroom, and tarragon âpiesâ with baby onions, bacon, and liquor sauce, and a pork dish that I canât recall exactly but believe it was served with baked apple and crackling mashâthe recipient couldnât stop raving about it. We finished the meal with a couple of desserts that were just as outstanding as the rest of the courses. The entire evening felt like a true fine dining experience, and Iâd highly recommend The Vine Tree to anyone looking for exceptional food and service.
