Amazing Curry Night! Blown away. Food was fab, service was spectacular. The Bar-man should be famous, he is next level. Don't go here if you hate warm-welcomes and brilliant atmospheres.Will definitely be back asap.

Great pub with excellent beer and food, we had two nights in Llangorse and went to the Castle Inn on both nights. We were made to feel very welcome (and had a bery in-depth chat about 80’s music with the landlord) - a visit is highly recommended 👍

An absolutely perfect meal! The staff are super friendly and very attentive, all the food were perfectly cooked, and it was peaceful and quiet unlike some other pubs in the area. As an added bouns, we were greeted by a cat (who was apparently a regular) as soon as we arrived, she then kept us entertained throughout the evening! Honestly one of the best pub meals I've ever had!

We spent one week in Llangorse and visited this pub multiple times. Good local drinks, nice food (vegetarian and non vegetarian), wonderful people - this pub just gives you a wonderful feeling. Do not miss to visit, if you are in the area.

All round excellent experience at the Castle inn. Staff really friendly and welcoming, the venue has real personality with artwork on the exterior walls and quirky little music themed sheds with benches inside. Topped off with an amazing meal to finish the night. Would definetly recommend to anyone in the Llangorse area and will definetly be visiting again.

Wow wow wow, we came here for tea as we are staying up the road the food was outstanding the service was 110% and the welcoming and hospitality was just outstanding we will defo be travelling 1hr and 30 mins for food again. The rugby girls x

Don't think about booking your Sunday dinner here, just do it! I'm not a massive meat eater so opted for the butternut squash, lentil and almond Wellington. I was a bit nervous as I'm not a huge lover of butternut squash or lentils. But omg it was to die for! They absolutely did not skimp on food, there was plenty to go round and all the meals came with a Yorkshire pud too. I ordered extra cauliflower cheese and that was delicious! We were all so full afterwards we needed naps. It was hands down the best Sunday dinner I've ever had out before! The staff were all lovely and spoke to my 18month old as well as giving my friend's dog lots of fuss. Thanks for having us The Castle Inn!

We loved this pub on our recent Wales trip. Good beer, food and lovely owners. We also stayed in their accommodation upstairs which was newly renovated and had everything that you might need. Would recommend it to anyone visiting the local area.

My husband & I visited here whilst staying in the lakeside campsite and what an excellent find!! On the Saturday we visited for food without booking, which they advised we were able to have a table in 45 mins. We opted to go for the £30 steak sharing platter & upgraded to surf & turf it by opting for the mussels. We were both blown away at the steak sharing platter, how much meat was provided, alongside garlic mushrooms, seasoned fries, "burnt onion" and peppercorn sauce. The peppercorn sauce was beautiful & creamy, just how I like it. The mussels were served with a side of garlic bread which was fantastic to soak up the amazing sauce leftover!! Tastiest mussels I have had in years. Finished off with an apple & blackberry pie with a side of custard & ice cream - delicious!! Because we enjoyed the food so much, we booked in for the Sunday lunch which again, was out of this world!! We both opted for the beef, which came with roast potatoes, beetroot, carrots, parsnips, greens and delicious Yorkshire puddings! My husband said it was the best Sunday lunch he has had. The beef was cooked perfectly, and we loved everything served with it! Both meals were great value for money (especially the steak sharing platter!). We live just over an hour away, but will definitely be making the journey again just for the food!! The service by the owner & waitresses were also excellent. Lovely friendly pub used by the locals 😊

What a find! I was staying in Llangorse for a few days with my family and we stumbled across the Castle Inn. We were greeted by Mike who is the landlord, he was a great host and immediately made us feel welcome. We had a lovely meal which was great. I love burgers but have to say that the cheese and bacon burger at the Castle Inn is one of the best I can remember. Mike mentioned that all of the meat is sourced from his son who is a butcher and is cooked in house by his wife. What a lovely family business that is backed up by charming and friendly local waiting staff. The Castle Inn is worth a detour!

Came for a meal as a group of 10 while on a weekend camping trip, absolutely loved it! Friendly, attentive staff and beautiful food, thoroughly enjoyed.

Highly recommended. I went with my friends and we give a unanimous 'Fantastic' review. Mike gave us a warm welcome to his pub. He also answered the many questions we fired at him about its history😀. Locally sourced food, prepared by Chelle, scrummy. We had the sharing steak platter, including garlic mushrooms, roasted onions, fries and peppercorn sauce. A choice of desserts, cheese cake, apple and blackberry crumble, waffles, brownie. I don't think you'll be disappointed. PS we also took our 4-legged friend with us.

Visiting from Dorset for 4 days for my BFFs 50th Birthday & fed up of camping food, went to see what the local pubs offer and WOW was blown away by the service from the Boss Michael. Kept checking up on us even made a special mocktail for her. Food & Cocktails (as I had Raspberry Mohito & Pimms were fab. I love Mac Cheese and didn't disappoint. My BF had the Steak & Ale pie & was stuffed with filling. Ceryl the waitress was also so very sweet & attentive. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

We popped into The Castle Inn after a recommendation from one of the locals as we're nearby visiting for a few days. I'm so glad we did! The staff are fantastic, the food is incredible and everyone is so friendly (especially the neighborhood cat) I can highly recommend their pies, and my besties Mac and Cheese looked so good! If you're in the area and want fabulous home cooked food then The Castle Inn is the place to go.

We went to the Castle Inn a few times during our stay in Llangorse for a wedding. The owner was very friendly and accommodating and the pub had a very nice welcoming vibe to it. The food menu was good including the flatbreads. There is outdoor seating as well which was ideal as it was a very warm day. On another Saturday, they did breakfast bagels which my friends all enjoyed too. Certainly recommend the pub to anyone who lives nearby or anyone visiting the region.

Such a good pub, Mike the owner was a great character and we enjoyed his company. The food was delicious and toilets very clean. There is a good choice of drinks and snacks, peanuts, jelly beans etc.

Landlord is a really lovely guy. Had a nice chat with him. Also had some great beers on tap and the garden is such a great vibe. Only problem was we showed up around 6:30 to get food and when we said we didn’t have a booking we were told food would be available from 8:15. No problem, we thought, we’ll probably get food somewhere else - they must have loads of bookings. We enjoyed the atmosphere so much that we were still there by 7:45 so we thought we would ask for a food menu. However, someone went up to the bar before us and was told food wouldn’t be available until 8:15. That checked out. But for some reason we still don’t understand, in the time between that person getting a menu and us (who were the next people at the bar) to ask for a menu, the wait had extended until 9pm with no explanation given. The pub wasn’t that busy the whole time we were there so still don’t really understand why we couldn’t have had food earlier. It’s a shame because we were really looking forward to it and the pub was such a nice venue besides that

We booked a table for 2 people and a dog for Easter Sunday and upon arrival we were greeted by the staff with smiling faces and made to feel very welcome. The food was delicious and well portioned. The cost was very favourable too. We will definitely be revisiting this lovely quaint establishment when we are next in Wales and would highly recommend anybody reading this review to do the same

Beautiful Sunday lunch, served on a platter so everyone helps themselves. We aren’t usual Sunday lunch fans but this was exceptional. Beef was perfectly rare, lovely Yorkshires and veg selection. Friendly and welcoming staff.

I have been visiting the Castle Inn for the last 6 years and I have never had a bad meal or experience there. I have been on my own, with my partner and with my friends and family and the welcome is amazing, however you turn up. Mike and Michele are great hosts and have worked hard to establish a pub that is relaxed and unique. The playlists always hit the spot for me too! There's cosy fires in the winter, and deckchairs and outdoor dining in the summer. The Sunday Roast Dinner is the BEST you will have in the area. There's always plenty of meat, veg and potatoes for each diner. I have never been left hungry! The Cauli Cheese which can be ordered as extra and is fab. I have also had the Burgers, Pizzas, Yorkshire Pudding Wraps, Desserts, street food dishes - the list goes on and all have consistently been excellent tasting offerings. The menus vary according to the time of year. The pub does get busy - it's very well supported by local and repeat customers visiting the area. Booking is recommended as it's a small establishment and team and can only cater for so many people each service.

The Sunday roast really is the best and very good value. You get a really good hunk of meat (have the lamb!) and an actual proper Yorkshire pud. Anywhere else is a disappointment by comparison now. Consistently good over the years and I’m always looking for an excuse to book in for a roast. Had several of the normal pub meals too, super burgers and always an interesting, varied menu. Theres always a good bunch of locals there too which makes a nice atmosphere for a drink and the staff are very friendly, local and efficient. Highly recommended and make sure you book early.

Popped in here with my Waterskiing club on Friday, the 23rd of June We all had food in there in the evening, which was delicious and nice and hot as always. Mike Michelle and Jess behind the bar are brilliant at what they do. They are always polite. Extremely friendly and no wonder the pub has been such a roaring success. Can’t believe Mike and Michelle are retiring next year, gutted. Cannot recommend this place highly enough. It’s one of those old school traditional pubs where you can just chill out and relax without all the commercialised nonsense. Thank you very much to Jess, who very kindly let me have a go at pulling my own pints, although I was rubbish at it, it was a lot of fun and respect to you guys for pulling all those pints over the years it’s not as easy as you think. LOL

Can't fault this fab place, the Sunday lunch was truly incredible, ordered chicken expecting couple of slices but was presented with half a bird which was cooked to perfection, obviously they take pride in the food they produce, unlike some, big thanks.

Michelle and Mike own and run the Castle Inn Llangors. They are fantastic hosts who provide an excellent service for the community. They (and their team) are always warm and welcoming and ready to serve up a great selection of food and drinks. We've been to the Castle on many occasions and highly rate it. Should also be noted that there are fantastic vegetarian and vegan options available on the menu. In summary, a fantastic village pub run by lovely people. 10/10 👍🏻

Loved this pub, landlord and staff are what you call a proper landlord, friendly , looked after the customers and always made to feel welcome, lovely log fire. Went in there with our dog whilst staying at Llangorse lake, bank holiday weekend. Will defo go back to visit the pub when down that way again.
