The bridge end inn has a lovely outdoor area right by the river that makes a peaceful place to sit. However we were disappointed by the food, the battered brie was soaked with oil, had no flavour and the chutney was clearly jar bought from a budget supermarket. We liked the service but wouldn't be going back for food. They were also limited on the beer selection.

There are plenty of seats up and down stairs with a beer garden next to the river, which you can walk down to. The place is dog friendly and the prices are great. Good quality food, nice fireplace in the winter, and beer garden in the summer. They also have sports and news on the tv and music playing in the background.

After looking online at the food, thought it was going to be a nice night out. How wrong I was, as we walked in it was very disorganised when eventually got seated we was put by the main bar. Which would have been fine but it was very loud with the every day punters there. There was alot of food to offer however, a simple chicken dish wasn't too be found. My partner had a pizza which was good however, left a plastic balloon taste in the mouth. I myself had the pork belly with mash and gravy, this threw me it honestly tasted horrific. The mustard mash was just seeds in the mash, the onion gravy was just jar onions been put in the gravy to be served. Pork belly was majority fat, and seasonal veg wasn't worth it. After expressing my dislike with the food have only had maybe a mouth full of the pork belly I was then charged half price for my meal, I was looked up and down and stated your not going to be hungry as you picked at it. I was generally starving and wasn't even asked was there anything else I would have wanted instead. Generally really disappointed.

Had a lovely roast lunch, the food was lovely and a good size portion. Friendly staff. Would recommend a visit if in the area.

We came here for dinner on the Sunday of our extended weekend away in the Brecon Beacons and were treated to a lovely experience by the river. We booked for 19:30 but were running late so called up to move the table closer to 20:00. The staff were more than happy to accommodate. When we arrived, we learned it was the chefs birthday and they decided to keep the kitchen open for us so we could eat! We had the chefs curry and the chickpea curry along with a pint of the famous Wye Brewery Butty Bach. All tasted great, came in generous portions and hit the spot completely. A lovely little pub with great staff in a perfect location. Couldn’t recommend highly enough.

Decent burgers and other straightforward pub dishes. I enjoyed it a lot, and the prices were fair. The restaurant space seemed rather dark and dinghy so we went outside. Service was good. The people were friendly.

Lovely Sunday lunch here today. Good service and one of the very few places these days that come and check everything is okay before you’ve finished eating. Good value too.

Beautiful welcoming pub and restaurant.. We literally were staying across the road from pub in the old post office.. Food was very nice .. They do great pizzas which are hugh, we had one each which we had loads left ..

A warm welcome, great food, large helpings and good value. We tried numerous places in the area, but this is the only one we came back to.

The pub had a cosy welcome atmosphere. We could not along with all the many other people have been treated any better. We had 3 courses .it was a wonderful meal. The starter was new to the menu a flower pot bread .it was wonderful, then chefs steak and ale pie melt in the mouth , cheesecake and creme brule .to top off again some of the best we tasted. While we're were there a few people turned up with dogs again the furry friends were treated the same .given bowls of water and if not the dogs liking was replaced to satisfy. Will come back.

Had evening meals here. Good choice on the menu. Food was tasty. Service was quick and friendly. We were mafe to feel most welcome. Would recomend. Dog friendly too.

Friendly staff, cosy atmosphere. The chef made a personalised meal for my dietary needs that was delicious, as was my brothers meal from the menu! Highly recommend a visit.

DO NOT EAT HERE. The food was absolutely awful. Meanwhile the owners of the pub were blind drunk singing awful songs. Trust me, unless you want an awful experience do not go here.

What a wonderful pub. Excellent food (try the venison cottage pie), great wines and brilliant service. Friendly atmosphere, particularly warm in front of the wood-burning stoves. Cannot recommend highly enough.

Second visit to Talgarth in the last 18 months,first time I was 'rescued' by the staff when I was too late for food..chef made me a meal fit for a king,so I had to go back again,Staff,food,locals,Butty Bach all superb.I love the place.

Went for an amazing walks around the valley. Some stunning views and some interesting wildlife. Finish the walk at the pub for a well deserved Sunday lunch. Was able to sit outside over looking the bridge and the river. My lunch was delicious and the service was great. Overall I enjoyed my hole day out.

Food was fantastic. My wife had gammon, chips, mushrooms, peas, onion rings and an egg and it was a really good portion. I had the bridge burger with one of the biggest beef patty I think I've ever had. Brie bites for starter were amazing. Lovely friendly staff and a lovely seat next to a roaring fire. We'll worth a visit.

We moved back to Wales from Canada at the end of August and stumbled upon this pace in a town near our village. And we are so glad we did! The food is amazing, and the atmosphere equally inviting. Jane and her team are wonderful and have been really welcoming to us, and our dog. We come back regularly and will continue to do so. An amazing, small Welsh pub serving great food and ambience.

Went for a quite drink with faimly sat at a table in the back bar so we cd watch the rugby. Got settled and chatting when the landlady jane came across and told us we would have to move as the table was for regulars!!!! So I said that's a warm welcome her reply was it is what it is!!!! My son ordered food wich he said was stunning and the young lady who served him so lovely may b she cd give Jane some tips on customer care. At closing time 11 we were told half hour to drink up in fact 15 mins later we were told to go. Would I come here again no sorry Jane you need to brush up on your people skills or may b just let your staff work the pub.
