The best restaurants serving British food in Scotland

Fui a pedir comida, pedí pescado y papas fritas, no pescado, pedí pastel de carne y papas fritas, no pastel, finalmente terminó con una hamburguesa muy mediocre que parecía que acababa de ser arrojada al plato. . 2 miembros del personal no tenían habilidades de servicio al cliente en absoluto. Muy decepcionante.

2weeks ago turned up 14.30 told only serving snacks today turned up 3.15 told NOT DOING ROAST UNTIL 4 . This place is local but very very unreliable they advertise as a petrol station . Open at 10 for breakfast lol nearly lunch time . Now reverted back to standing by the door to be seated sorry guys but never again our family and friends will go elsewhere like the Eagle in Dornoch

I disliked how one had to have a timed reservation. The small restaurant section had about 18 dining, so it was not full. The battered haddock was fair. It was accompanied by a generous serving of chips and a small salad. The duo of ice cream was very pleasant. Total cost including a 330ml beer was GBP24.75. Service was slightly pushy but otherwise OK.

Ate here whilst staying the night. The menu was ok but would have liked to see some more regional dishes like Cullen Skink and Haggis. I had the haddock and chips and sticky toffee pudding for desert. It was all fine although the plate for the main was very small and there was too much coleslaw for my liking. The pudding was also supposed to come with cream or ice cream and they never asked me which I wanted. It came with neither, just lots of glacé cherries for some reason!!

Over priced and food was under whelming definitely not worth the money. Staff clearing tables were trying hard to keep on top of things but were very obviously under staffed. Staff serving behind the counter were rude and insisting people pay by card as they had no change. If you can't accommodate people paying by cash put up a sign advising people before they choose their food. Would not use again.

La experiencia del restaurante Cobbs fue extremadamente agradable para nosotros - una familia de cuatro con niños adultos. La comida era absolutamente fresca. Recomiendo encarecidamente el risotto allí. El personal del restaurante era amable y amable. El restaurante tiene vistas al lago y se encuentra a medio camino en coche desde Inverness hasta el centro de visitantes. Es una gran ubicación y se combina con buena comida y servicio, hace que sea una parada en boxes apropiada. Su menú de whisky es absolutamente fantástico.

Restaurant was closed. Alternative provision was a coffee van near the car park. The barrister seemed to be operating at half-speed. Perhaps the cold had got to him.

oh my the food was amazing the pizza delicious, we got my grandson the fish fingers the fish was real fish and had to order him another portion of chips the most he has ate we will certainly be back

The dining experience and customer service here is absolutely dire. I ordered a vegan burger and was brought a beef burger - when I politely told the waiter that this is not what I had ordered he was argumentative and clearly annoyed. 90 minutes after ordering, both myself and my friend who had ordered a carbonara had not received our dishes, although others in our group had received their (very subpar) dishes over 30-40 minutes earlier. We went to the bar to request refunds, only to be told that they were being cooked right now, and so we could not get refunds. We were told the food would be a few minutes. A further 15 minutes later, the carbonara came out and was clearly just a microwave meal. My burger was still nowhere to be seen, so I again went to the bar to ask where it was. I was told by the same member of staff that it had just been sent out, so I went back to my table. I then sat for a further 15 minutes, waiting for this elusive vegan burger. At this point I had been waiting 2 hours. I went to the bar again and told the same staff member that I didn't even care about the burger anymore, I just wanted a refund. I was again told that it would be a few minutes, which of course at this point I didn't believe a word of. He then suggested that instead of a refund, he'd make me some drinks rather than the burger? Not free drinks mind, just drinks up to the value of the burger. Absolutely baffling honestly. Finally, a different member of staff came out and processed a refund for me. He gave me a vague apology about being understaffed. I left absolutely starving and with nowhere else to go for food. The single highlight about this disaster of an experience was the singer who appeared about half way into my long wait for a nonexistent burger - he was hilarious and kept me laughing despite my rumbling stomach. Avoid this place if you want to keep your sanity intact.

This place has a great kitchen which also serves "The Gathering". The food was excellent and was promptly prepared and served. No waiting for desiccation under a warming lamp. The same can be said for the breakfast. Great variety and nice quantity so you weren't left wondering about value as you might in some restaurants serving "pretty food" and a "pretty price".

Lovely food great attentive staff and pleasant atmosphere would highly reccomend to every1. Super and incredible managment also

Nice hard working folks who make great food. I had the beef chili and was as good as any in Texas! My wife had the Mac and cheese and really liked it.

Went to Soul on Sunday with a group of friends and had a fantastic time, a day full of fun , laughs and dancing. BAaD is a fantastic venue and the staff were great too, In particular a girl called Danielle (hope i got the name right), she was so nice and helpful. I will definitely be back for another Soul on Sunday and also maybe a beer in the backyard 🌞🍺

I love this chippy and have large fish and chips on a Friday and Saturday evening every fortnight… Last night nov 16th I found 3 human hairs in the meal …not good and staff should really wear hair nets when dealing with food.- They were perfect on the Friday however.

He estado aquí unas cuantas veces y aún el servicio podría ser mejor. Hay un montón de aparcamiento gratuito exterior. Zona de bar tiene TV y plenry asientos. El restaurante tiene un invernadero. El personal es amable, pero necesitan ser más profesionales. El menú es variado y se pueden conseguir medias raciones. Los precios son promedio. Podrían mejorar y creo que traer más clientes.
