Fantastic pub with an authentic local feel. It’s cosy in the winter with events such as Carol singing organised by the local church, in the summer there’s access to the garden which makes it a fantastic space to relax. It’s also an excellent venue for events. My husband and I had our wedding party there. We couldn’t ask for better service and hospitality. Excellent food, very accommodating staff. We rented the glass house and really enjoyed having access to the garden as well! We’d definitely recommend the pub for marriage celebrations, anniversaries or birthdays!!

Excellent service, will go again. Staff member Claire was most helpful. Was not sure if they would fit us in due to the amount of swim competition competitors that were staying but managed to get a table

The staff are really friendly and professional. The food is reasonably priced and well cooked. We often stop here on our way home from our caravan. The staff are very welcoming to us and our dog.

I only had a drink on the terrace after a walk around the Neptune stairs, very pleasant pub and sunny terrace in the afternoon

The food was okay, perhaps a bit over priced for the quality. The bone of contention is the added "discretionary" service charge of 8%, which was in fact 10% that wasn't advised or apparently allowed to be deducted. It felt a little bit like sharp practice to me, so left with a sour taste in the mouth.

We popped in for lunch today, greeted at the door by Elise, very friendly and welcoming. We ordered at the bar and served by Leanne who again was very chatty, friendly and informative. We had the haddock which was excellent. Kids fish bites and a pie. We all thoroughly enjoyed our food. Service was quick and food presented well. Restaurant was clean and warm. Thank you for a lovely welcome and great service.

Absolutely awful bacon and sausage almost raw and bacon very salty. potato scone burnt. Wouldn't eat there again

We had never been to Pittenweem and our accommodation was three doors from this wonderful Tavern. From the first night Alan , the owner and his lovely wife, Leslie were so attentive and friendly . We were cautious due to my wife, neing a coeliac but Alan produced some amazing gluten free meals, including fish and chips with gluten free battered onion rings. I must say that the helpings size were on the large size nit so tasty. We tried different meals each night and every one of them was as tasty as the first one. . I would highly recommend this tavern, but it is more than a tavern. Ambiance is pleasant and seeing locals in there was great . A very enjoyable time. Thank you.

amazing hotel and staff easy location near train station and city centre would recommend to anyone in the area

Poor communication all round in the hotel, had to cancel a taxi and there was only one member of staff who looked dumfounded. Food wasn't great either, I ordered a steak pie and it was just cut up steak with a 99p pastry on top of it One of the worst hotels i've every stayed in. Also playing music until 2:00am so impossible to sleep

Went in here for a family lunch while visiting the area, staff were fantastic from the very start the food was delicious atmosphere was also relaxing.

Made an order on JustEat, and they cancelled it saying they were closed. I made the order at 2pm on a Saturday, and the opening times say you're open to 9:30pm.

Great fun night, staff were wonderful. Locals were friendly. Food fantastic, lots of options and great if you have allergies, big meals we had the steak and ale pie and good prices. Not long waiting times for meals Great atmosphere. Highly recommend and would go again if back in Cupar. As 2 kiwis travelling we had fun with the Ozzie waitress, (sorry all that talking and we didn't ask your name) and Russell. Thank you for an excellent evening!!

Attended a surprise birthday party upstairs in the function suite. There was a good selection of chairs for everybody. The dancefloor was ok assuming most people don't get up to dance, however it was extremely sticky probably a combination of spilt drinks and not polished. It's perhaps ok from a safety perspective but if you want to dance it's rough on the knees! Toilets were ok but really dark so no way you could fix your makeup if that's your thing. It was a good size for a private function and most folk probably don't care about the dance floor.
