Unwelcoming atmosphere. Went in with my children lastnight, not one customer in the restaurant and the 2 female members of staff sent us out as one of my sons had a bike. Pointed out that the scratches on the floor were due to bikes?! Very disappointed kids who were looking forward to an icecream. Won't be back

Friendly staff, ordered a 2-scoop waffle cone, mint choc and biscoff. Highly recommend.

The lights weren't on when we approached, perhaps that was to hide the lack of hygiene! The waffle machine was caked in old dough, the floors were dirty and the ice-cream flavours were not kept fully stocked.(not great when all you sell is ice-cream!) Not the treat we had hoped for. They need better staff training/supervision.

Regular customers of Corolla's leith. Don't like leaving negative reviews but visited tonight with my daughter and ordered strawberry sundae & caramel short cake sundae and cone to go. We live 2 minutes away and I Wasn't happy with the consistency it didn't meet my expectations at all! It was so watery it was it was like spooning watery ice cream and drowned in syrup ☹️ we were so disappointed. The staff in the store were not overly inviting. Disappointing experience I spent roughly £20 and feel it was waste for melted watery sundaes.

I agree with other reviews that mention poor hygiene. The toilets were the worst I have seen in Edinburgh - obviously hadn't been checked for hours, and it was a very busy Sunday. Ice-cream was fine, but I didn't feel much like eating it after the experience in the toilets, as it made me doubt the general hygiene of the place.

Low food hygiene standards. When you see the servers taking money, operating the till, and handling food, you would expect to see a pair of gloves or at least hand washing in between. When we asked them to wash their hands before handling food, one server huffed.

Staff were nice but it’s not a good place to go for gelato or ice cream at all unfortunately! We got three different flavoured scoops and only one of them wasn’t freezer-burnt lol (the tablet - was not bad). The biscoff one didn’t taste at all like biscoff. I wouldn’t go back! A shame

Picked up my first Strawberry Milkshake this afternoon and it was amazing! - staff were very helpful and polite too! - would strongly recommend this place for anyone who is looking to get away from the busyness of Leith to enjoy some lovely treats!

Highly disappointed with my experience today. I love their ice creams and am usually here but the the staff today was very rude specially the girl with red hair. Saw her being nice to everyone else except for me, clearly she was being racist.

After a long day walking along the Water of Leith we were excited to sit down and enjoy a hot chocolate and some churros. Unfortunately those hopes were dashed. The hot chocolate arrived first - and it was somehow both lumpy and watery at the same time with barely any flavour. The sign said it was famous, I fear this may be for the wrong reasons. Then the churros arrived. Whilst the menu claimed these were warm, they were cold. The texture was also horrendous - really putting the chew in churro. We'd ordered eight between two and ended up leaving half of them. The chocolate sauce had the most bizarre after taste, but at least the biscoff sauce was palatable - compliments to whichever company jarred that for them. I really don't know how you can mess up fried dough and hot chocolate but they really gave it a good go. Never, ever again. Absolute waste of time and money. I pray they turn things around because the location is excellent and has a lot of potential.

Super disappointed with the churros and hot chocolate that we recieved. The churros were hard and freezing even though the menu describes them as "warm"?. Because of this were unable to finish them which felt like a waste of money and food. We barely drank our hot chocolates too as they were watery and lacked any flavour. Overall what we received was poor quality and didn't taste fresh at all.

Absolutely beautiful as always

Asked for whipped cream, as that was advertised and they have forgotten cream before. They brought a long a small tub, and when opened it, it had about a table spoon. And it was not what asked. If they advertise whipped cream on most desserts and they charge people and do not put it on desserts. I someone frustrating.

Visited Crollas whilst travelling through. Staff friendly and welcoming. I just had the iron bru ice cream, hubby had waffle with ice cream. Reasonable prices.

Two hours and 20 minutes for delivery.Shocking.Shouldn’t be taken deliveries if yous can’t handle them or offer folk at least something free if the delivery over a hour late.

Forgotten items. Totally understandable. Mistakes do happen! So no biggie but when called given very limited options of going through the app to get a refund and reorder or just claim refund. Chose to walk 20 minutes to get items and back which meant food was cold.

Crepes are not the same as before - thin and dry as anything. There tiny and same with the scoops off ice cream! I’ve used crollas leith since day 1 and it’s went down hill since thomas left he was the best! Won’t be ordering from here again very disappointed.

Ordered Churros but got cookies with a milky coloured sauce. Wrong toppings on the different ice creams. Kids were disappointed ☹️

I order Carmel churros for 2 people and looped churros for one person. I got looped churros for 2 and chocolate churros for 1. Sauces missed that ordered and all order wrong. I was really disappointed as a love the caramel churros and white chocolate sauce never got any of it!!

The ice cream was not very good actually.

Decent place to have ice cream. Their strawberry ice cream was fab. On the other hand the chocolate waffle with mint sauce was a miss for me. Staff was fantastic

I would recommend anyone with a taste for all thing’s delicious to visit this establishment. The selection of ice cream is absolutely fab - as well as other products that will add inches to your waistline just from a mere glance across the counter. There are two menu boards to select from i.e a sit in or take away. The member of staff that served us was friendly and courteous. The ‘double scoop’ cone we had was loaded with more than enough goodies to fully satisfy my guilty pleasure. Lastly, the price was well worth the guilt trip !

We were in tonight and I honestly can’t speak highly enough of the staff . We were a group of 7 including 3 children and they were kind enough to make smaller versions of the coldstone for the kids - after the staff advised they would be too big for the kids- lovely to have such honesty . Even the dog had a scoop of your wonderful ice cream . Thank you so much for your attentive service and friendly helpful staff . We look forward to visiting you again soon .

Food could be a little warmer, was cold when arrived even thought the delivery time was great!

Staff very friendly and funny. Ordered double cone for 3.10. In this day and age, great value. Huge scoops. Massive! So many choices. I chose one vanilla and one biscoff. Beware it is very very sweet. Maybe I should have gone for sorbet. I've never seen this place busy, but today in heat it was. Strange location. Kids and adults alike will love this.

Delicious waffles, cookie dough and ice cream. Great that they stay open till late, and it makes a good alternative to a pub. I wish there were more cafes like this in Edinburgh!

Very hit and miss. Sometimes you get the wrong order, sometimes, like today you get tiny scoops that dont fill half the tub, sometimes they get the order right.

I got delivered wrong cake and shake. I don’t like toffee flavours. And both were toffee flavoured.

Delivery driver called and wondered about the street looking for number 4 and proceeded to go to number 8. Watching him from the window whilst on the phone to me telling him where to go but he continues to farce about in the street to the lint he went back into his car to readjust his car position. Absolute shambles. Ice cream has melted and was split all over the bag want a refund

Second time ordering. Second time forgot the icecream. And ordered a brownie and got a cake with “sorry no brownie” written on box.

Amazing food. Ordering is a little difficult as you are forced to buy extras on some products but it’s still worth it!!!

Didn’t get what we had ordered. Unfortunately not the first time. Ordered a two scoop but only got 1 scoop and no toppings. Happened on a few occasions now. If you don’t have the ingredients, just put a note in the bag to explain. Annoying as the ice cream is really nice!

I am not particularly happy with my order, I ordered two waffles and added fresh strawberries, both came with just cut bananas in a pot instead, there was hardly any sauces on both and the Oreo waffle had a part missing, there was a small amount of oreos and biscoff crumbs on the waffle, this is just a normal waffle with some sauce on it, considering it was nearly £18

The brownie was so dried up that it was inedible, and the baileys coldstone ice cream had a strong perfume smell: as though someone wearing aftershave had prepared it and contaminated the ice cream. All I could taste was perfume-binned the lot.

No ice cream, whipped cream or wafer with the waffle like stated in the description. Order took ages to arrive/ was delayed.

Order was incomplete. Took an hour to get the missing sundae, and i got coffee ice cream instead of lotus biscoff ice cream in the biscoff sundae :(

Went Monday 18th April. 2 girls serving was so disinterested, one sat on the floor at the back of the counter on her phone whilst the other stood at the counter doing the same. Main issue was the lack of cleanliness. The pancake / waffle making machine in particular was a disgrace, ok it was early evening and had probably been used all day but when the girls were more intent on using their phones than doing a basic clearing up. Shame as the ice cream is passable and the location is great.

To be honest, the location's a bit dodgy and the place itself isn't too nice, but the desserts are quite good and the staff are very nice

Would give 0 stars if possible. Visited the shop on 2.4.22. Was served by rania. Very poor attitude and customer service skills. Was too busy talking to other staff members. Paid in cash to be told that she didn't have enough change from £10 then miraculously had the change after 5mins of searching till. Visited again 3.4.22. Was served by rania again. Thought I would give shop a second chance. Apon approaching store the music was loud enough to be heard outside. Apon entering empty store had to wait to be served as staff finished eating chinese. Made my order and asked for a iceblast to be told the machine was broken although I could see it working. Very poor customer service skills. Had same problem. Again with getting my change was told she didnt have change in till. On both occasions none of the staff were wearing face masks. Also witnessed rania unable to pick up a slice of cake from chiller with tongs, instead she used her hands without gloves and hadn't washed her hands after eating and touching till and cash. Unlikely I will be returning which I'd a shame as kids love the selection of ice cream and cones on offer.

I was a last min customer tonight @ 9pm. I understand it's near closing time the staff where lifeless dull couldn't be bothered attitudes but this shouldn't effect customer service. The girl who we had all the interactions with at the till was rude the whole 10 mins we where there. Like our custom was an inconviece we had interrupted them eating. First She didn't want to count change asked if we could pay by card because she didn't have ANY change. So she took money out of the TIPS we couldn't add to order after this and was told things where out of order. Didn't want to take more orders. Lacking Customer service. Eating whilst working is unprofessional. The music before entering the restraunt could be herd it was so loud. Expectations for family accommodating restraunts are friendly atmospheres are MUST when you have young children. I don't think we would visit again.

Food hasn’t arrived!!!! received an “on its way” notification at 22:05, still on the phone now at 23:10 trying to figure out where the order is, but no one is picking up the phone. First call was at 22:46 attempted 10+ times. It has now been confirmed food has arrived “enjoy your food” but it hasn’t!!! I expect the order to be refunded in store tomorrow.

Love Crollas! Such a fantastic selection of delicious ice cream and desserts! The best thing about Crollas though is the lovely Thomas! I go in regularly with my daughter and we always look forward to seeing him! He’s so cheery and just the loveliest person! Nothing is too much trouble and he makes THE best desserts! Amazing! The girl said to sit and check menu. Waited by the table around 30 min, nobody came to serve, 3 persons behind the counter, they didn't mention I have to come back to order by the counter. Ordered Large ice cream coldstone creation and coffees, one ice cream came, after 10 min another ice cream, then I asked can we have coffees with the ice cream. We got everything in paper tubes and ice-creams looked so ugly. Yes, and very dirty place.

I ordered 2.5 hours ago and didnt get my food. Phoned 1 hour ago and they said they are very busy and it should arrive soon... never got it! Its after 10pm today and they are closed. So cant claim my money back today. Need to phone them tomorrow! I CANNOT recommend them! NEVER AGAIN! Update: the order arrived at 22:35 pm. And I m eating my ice cream now at midnight instead of 8pm....and the extra ice cream as an excuse for the long wait has never been put into the bag.... VERY DISAPPOINTING

The staff working today (Sunday 13th Feb) were lovely and kindly let us sit in despite is originally ordering take-out. It was miserable with the rain so it was appreciated. Son enjoyed a waffle and milkshake. I had a coffee which was tasty! We will definitely be back.

Large selection of ice cream and other desserts. Nice location being by The Shore - easy to get to and walkable. The place looked cute and would be ideal for coffee with desserts dates or for families to take their kids to as they have plenty of options with milkshakes/puddings etc.

the chocolate fudge brownie sundae we received was just a couple scoops of ice cream in a cup with some chocolate sauce!

A 2 1/2 hour wait! For an ice-cream and milkshake. Tasty yes however, was not informed of the waiting time as was told 1 hour which then got extended. Maybe work on your delivery times & organisation.

Dull and water refilled instead of soap in toilets.

Ordered food around 10pm. 1 hour later no update… after calling I was advised they are delayed and will get it send out soon. Another hour later we had food aka 12pm…. The best part was the food was rubbish. We have ordered from this chain at other locations and never had an issue but safe to say we won’t be ordering again. All of the food is now residing in our bin and for future reference this would be my suggested delivery location for your food. Regardless of how busy you are your delivery time was terrible and food was clearly impacted due to this. If it’s not been made clears we will be requesting a full refund. If you wish to collect the food you delivered suggest looking in travel lodge bins.

We were told delivery would be 10:20pm- 10:40pm. We were then advised the time had changed to 10:55pm- 11:15pm and it still is not here at 12am. The restaurant is now closed and we cannot get hold of anybody.

Food was delivered very late (about 10:30pm)after 2 hours of waiting time Churros - very disappointed ☹️ stale , dry Waffles- very poor quality too Unfortunately we won’t be ordering again.

Ordered at 8:39pm never got delivered till 10:30pm, crepe came cold, box upstanding so all sauce and toppings came off and through the holes in box. Ice cream melted. Wouldn’t order again

Took an hour and a half to arrive. There’s a problem when ordering 3 scoop ice cream where it only let me choose 1 flavour. I added notes to say I wanted 3 different flavours which was ignored. The hot waffle and crepe were both stone cold and the crepe had no filling just a bit of Nutella spread on top. Some things are worth waiting an hour and a half for - this was not one of them.

This is not the first time my food has arrived late, and I've even had to go and collect it in the past because they couldn't get hold of a driver. This time my food was close to 45 minutes late and they're was no apology or explanation when it arrived. Poor show

Ordered 2015, food arrived 2245(ice cream so no need to cook) was told female driver was only driver working...surprised when a male driver delivered the food. Shocking service, won't order for delivery again, Ice cream was good though, but not worth a 2.5hr wait!

Love the ice-creams here. Great selection, and a great location for sitting & watching the world go by, or the swans & ducks on the Water of Leith outside. A wide selection of ice cream, cakes & hot food are available for sit-in or takeaway, and the prices are very reasonable. Crolla's has been a favourite place to visit for a treat since it opened on the Shore, and here's to many more years to come.
