Excellent service, brilliant and straight-shooting wine advice. Definitely not going to be my last visit. Back again and once more exceeds expectations. Delicious wines, different from before. Exceptional advice for the off sales purchases too, can't wait to try them.

Honestly I expect more from a michelin restaurant. Had a a surprise set menu was very surprising for me . Except the person serve wine FOH wasn't so nice. The dessert tasted like burned egg white felt like cod and scalop had pretty much same sauce. If I want to go back noooooooo.

We just went for drinks so no food rating but would definitely go back to sample the menu another time - we just stopped in for drinks before dinner… and then after dinner the next day as well. The atmosphere is fab and the setting is really cool, you can really see where the old cellars would have been. The staff were friendly, service was fast, and there is a great selections of wines and cocktails - great date night location

We had a fantastic evening last night at Papavero. We were a sizeable group. Greg and his team couldn’t have been more accommodating. The food was excellent, the service superb and they were very patient when we sat on. Thank you for a terrific evening!

Finally made time to visit sycamore cafe and the wait was well worth it, location couldn’t be better in the centre of Corbridge ( parking takes coins not card) we went for the £12 lunchtime special, Lebanese chicken wrap and a falafel wrap, truffle Parmesan chips as a extra 3.50, food is hot and cooked perfect served with salad and house coleslaw, you also get pudding chocolate brownie (hot) with ice cream and absolutely delicious little bits of chewy fudge. In the price you can have a 125ml glass of wine or a half of cruzcampo or a soft drink or a coffee americano I think it was, the quantity and quality of food you get is excellent value for money. A big mention to our host Helen who was very friendly chatty and very polite, she made our lunchtime very relaxed, so thank you Helen. If you’ve not been please try you won’t be disappointed

Fantastic overnight getaway at this fab boutique hotel, nestled in the lovely leafy suburb of Stockbridge in Edinburgh. Sumptious room, impeccably presented. Extremely comfortable bed. Dinner was top drawer Pumpkin hummus, smoked mackerel pate followed by a super delicious steak and mushroom pie Very restful sleep, a lovely long walk around the nearby Botanical Gardens and then a delicious breakie as pictured. Excellent coffee with real freshly squeezed oj. I don't recommend places often, but can recommend The Raeburn with confidence

Saturday night dinner. Overall we had a lovely time, it was busy and energetic. The ambience and rapport of the bar helped make it more special, as it has a history for cocktails, clean toilets and good choice. Had two cocktails each, small and overpriced but nice, and the venison and the duck. Really expensive for two meals and four drinks! We won't be back, the service wasn't excellent and we did have to get the waiters attention, aside from being ignored for the dessert order. It will be a one time visit, I'm afraid. Some staff should definitely have some more training or be on their whereabouts when busy. Overall great but certainly not the best for the price paid.

This place could be great and I hate leaving a bad review. But the food was pretty poor. Short rib was a large bit of bone with a bit of grizzle on it. Chicken dry. Prawns looked good. Beef tartare inedible. Staff lovely and view great but they need to step it up with food. Certainly won’t be returning but give it a go. It was maybe just an off night. Very expensive for what it was. I don’t mind expensive meals if it’s good but this was probably the worst food I’ve eaten in a restaurant in a long time. The shop fitters were in doing upstairs so perhaps they are just in a temporary guddle. They have a lovely outside area that looks right over to the rail bridge so it’s a lovely spot. Worth trying in case the chef was off that night.
