Lots of space, not much in it... hidden dips which were a nightmare for toddlers in the play area. Same for the outside area too. Climbing frames etc were great. Animal shed was good too to let kids see animals. You weren't able to touch them though unless you stayed for the talk. Food was ok, not much choice on the lunch menu for adults.

Nice place to go went with my 2 daughter's & son-in-law was a family Easter weekend, to feed the lambs with our grandson, he was so happy to hold a wee lamb on his lap, & after that had a long play in the indoor play area. Would recommend, but would go back during the week, hopefully less busy.

Oh dear, where did it all go wrong? My kids used to love coming here to play in the park but the climbing frame's gone and the swing frame has no swings on it anymore. Lovely spot for a day out We came here to check out the strawberries, but unfortunately we were far too early, like months early... Fortunately, however, the deli and café are fantastic and well worth the trip on their own. First we walked around the deli. A lot of it is quite overpriced, which is a shame because there were some nice things on offer that we might be tempted to try if we didn't feel like they were trying to squeeze us for every penny (I'm looking at you, £6 bunches of asparagus...) The meat counter, however, had a fantastic selection as they were literally in the process of breaking down an entire cow as we walked in. The butcher behind the counter, Olly, was an absolute top lad, gave us loads of helpful suggestions, answered questions and even offered to look after our purchases behind the counter while we visited the rest of the farm. We got, Beef short ribs, 8/10, lovely and meaty, I turned these into a beautiful 4-hour slow cooked ragu for a two sheet lasagne verde inspired by Rolo's in NYC (check them out!). My attempt looked a bit lame, but it tasted so good wifeyface asked for it again 2 days running. Good times 👍 Beef bones, 9/10, Not only were these fresh as anything, but cheap too at only £2.50/kg. I cooked them down for over 24 hours and then with the resulting broth made ramen with all the trimmings. Wife was feeling a bit preggo-nauseous at the time, but after I showed her what I'd made, guess who appeared at the dinner table 5 minutes later 😂 Next, we went to the café for a well earned sit down. It was nice and airy with lots of light streaming in. Full of hustle and bustle, plenty of families with young kids have a jolly good time. Freshly squeezed orange juice, 8/10, can't beat freshly squeezed, very refreshing. Coffee, 7/10, decent coffee with just enough strength to get the conversation flowing without giving you the caffeine shakes. Scone, 6/10 without the cream, 8/10 with. The scone itself was pretty good, felt they were a bit stingy on the fruit though. Jam was tasty but could have done being a little thicker in texture. Butter on scones is an abomination and we shall not speak of it. Sweet whipped cream made all the difference and I'm glad we ordered it extra. After tasty libations we had a bit of a stroll round the farm. With the weather only just starting to warm up there wasn't much growing, but I could see this being good fun when the time is right. It was a nice walk around too, they have sheep and tiny little ponies which were all kinds of cute. Overall a great day out, and if you have slightly older kids the soft play looks mega fun.

My wife and I agreed recently that on days off when we had time, we would start visiting farm shops for lunch and / or coffees within an hour or two of our home (must be an age thing 🙂). Just to see a bit more of the country, maybe buy some fresh produce, and support farmers who diversify. First up was Craigie’s Farm because it’s quite local to us, and we had heard a lot of positives. There was loads of room in the car park because it was midweek. It was pleasant enough from the outside, but a bit tired looking. This didn’t really put us off because I can understand that in the recent and current economic climate, outside maintenance and refurb is low on the list of priorities. We had the dog with us but we couldn’t take her inside. So there was a tired looking outside area to sit with her. It was a nice day but the “canine area” was shady and therefore quite cool, so we put her back in the car and went in to the shop and cafe. We were still feeling upbeat because we respect whatever rules re. dogs. The shop was expensive but well stocked and we thought we might buy some fruit and veg. The cafe / restaurant was pleasant enough and the staff were very good. But we were left very disappointed with an order of lentil soup and sour dough and a latte. The lentil soup was watery and lacking in taste. The sourdough was more like a regular piece of nicely baked bread, definitely not the usual tanginess of sourdough. The latte was ok. I appreciate that with employers NI and the minimum wage increasing from April that overheads must be tight, but £7 for the soup and bread, and £4 for the latte, just felt like poor value for money. We therefore didn’t really feel like buying anything from the shop and just went on our way. Overall pretty disappointing. Felt like a place that used to be very popular and innovative, that has somewhat lost its energy and focus, forgetting that quality of food is paramount 😐. Or maybe they just had an off-day, I’m not sure.

What has happened to Santa experience?! It was awful and compare with last year’s so not worth the money! Last year at the end everybody could see Santa separately and were asked questions, had a bit of chat. This year the whole group was ushered together. Last year marshmallow toasting was a part of experience and this year you have to find letters (when your child is too small to know them) and come up with donkeys names to get a marshmallow from cafe staff. Overall just so poor compare to last year’s.

I must say I was extremely disappointed by the Pumpkin Festival this year. There was no ghost train and no paintball shooting as advertised on the website, certainly not that either of us could see. The access to the bale trail was unavailable due to the weather, which is obviously out with their control, however, the “haunted maze” provided in its place was not, in my opinion, a suitable replacement. It was certainly not age appropriate for 2 one year olds. We ate in the restaurant afterwards and had to wait at least 20 minutes for one meal for the babies which was, again, a disappointment. It wasn’t particularly busy either. It is a shame really as we’ve always done the pumpkin picking at Craigies but it feels like it has gone downhill fast and we’ll be looking to go elsewhere next year. Other places seem to offer more for your money but I stupidly stuck with Craigie’s and wish I hadn’t. Basically everything at Craigie’s is a chargeable extra, or it certainly feels that way. I sent them an email with my feedback as I received an auto-request to provide feedback to them as I always prefer to engage directly with a business than post a negative review. To date, they haven’t given me even the courtesy of a response. Charming. What used to be a family-friendly, hot on customer service establishment appears to have become greedy and a money-making enterprise. I nearly died when I saw the cost of the Santa experiences this year. I’ll be going elsewhere for that too. What a let down Craigie’s.

This was our 3rd year visiting for the pumpkin picking and sadly we left feeling disappointed. Last year was great with the poly tunnels themed and games to play. This year we left feeling like it had changed too much. Too many extras to pay for while on the patch that I'm not sure why we even had to pay for a ticket to visit. I'd rather pay a bit extra for the ticket price and have activities included. Not a bad experience but not the best either.

The farm itself is lovely, but the deli has rude staff that run it very rigidly. The areas are inflexibly delimited, and even if you buy their (disgusting) coffee that took 20 minutes to get ready, they will not heat your quiche for your 1 year old and force you to go eat it cold outside. They even have the cheek to tell you "you've been told this" with a self-important smile. They probably charge twice the amount to sit inside. When you buy a quiche in a bakery, they heat for you even if you take it away. Why not in a fancy overpriced deli? Why ruin a lovely place with inflexible service and contemptuous, self-righteous people?

Disappointing experience compared to last year! Firstly of all the cafe was so busy, clearly not enough staff to handle the volume of customers. We waited 5 minutes to be acknowledged and asked if we needed a seat, then told it was a long wait time for food so decided not to eat there. Disappointing as the service and food was amazing last time we visited. We then went pumpkin picking, half the pumpkins were mouldy on the field, not a great impression. The pumpkins were a ridiculous price, £17 for 3 x medium pumpkins, we couldn’t even use the price our tickers against the pumpkin price due to an event we didn’t even want to visit, which was for the kids, we are two young adults. Ohh and to top it off the highlands cows weren’t there like the previous year. We be finding another place to go pumpkin picking and brunching next year.

You can eat lunch or something quick. I recommend lamb with flatbread and salads - photo. The price is only 11 pounds and it will fill you up for a few hours. You can buy rural products from A to Z in a stationary store. It is worth spending a few hours in the rural world. We will come back here.

The pumpkin festival tickets only cover entry to the “festival” which is essentially just a few carved pumpkins and a paintball area charged at an additional £4 per person. The “pumpkin picking” is more pumpkin picking-up as the pumpkins have simply been placed on a field covered in straw rather than being grown in the field. So you’re really just picking pumpkins up rather than harvesting them off of a plant.. The pumpkins also aren’t covered by the tickets so expect an additional cost there. It cost us £15 for three pumpkins, which isn’t good value. The cafes pretty good though!

Went for something to eat. Firstly, it was blinking hot. The heating was on full and it was just a bit too hot - thought about sitting outside. Maybe we timed it badly - but lunch service was ending. I got a badly made beef and relish sandwich for £10.50. - too much relish, very little beef - cut in half with a spoon. I had a diet Pepsi and was given a cheap plastic tumbler. The ingredients were of good quality. It wasn't inedible, it wasn't awful - it was just sad. The staff were okay. The manager was pleasant she offered me another but I'd accepted that the sandwich was what it was. There was just no joy.... The view and goats were good though.

We arrived at Craigies Cafe to have coffee/tea and cake. We had to stand and wait for quite a long time before someone acknowledged our existence and then finally being seated. The waitress did apologise which is fair enough. We were then told it was table service and someone would be over to take our order. No one came near us, so we got up and left. Didn't appear to be enough staff on. First and last visit.

Great menu on offer and excellent deli and butcher. Cafe staff don't seem a cheerful bunch, could learn to smile at the very least.

I had the steak pie and it was delicious. My boyfriend got the burger with pulled pork and said it’s the best burger he’s ever had. We also ordered a few desserts but our favorite was the empire biscuit

Very cool cafe at a fruit pick farm where you can pick your own strawberries, blueberries, raspberries and so on. The fruit picking farm is definitely worth a visit if you like. Fruit and the cafe has a nice outlook over the hills

This is a lovely old building, lots of fire doors, (5 to go through to get to my room) half staircases, lovely decor, small bar, wonderful seating area, has a meeting room too. Bath and shower in my room! Staff were amazing, helpful navigating the area, assisting with our luggage hold requests, and friendly. All budgets accommodated. Location is ideal, reasonable walking distance to most everything we needed.

We went to Contini on Sunday for lunch, this was a gift from my grand kids an daughter. What a treat it was the Fodor was great but the service, what can I say IT WAS EXCEPTIONAL the waitress who served us made our day special, I wish I could remember her name. If she reads this what came first the chicken or the egg…….

We booked a table on recommendation from family who had eaten here. We were given a lovely table in the window with views over the Forth and the beautiful railway bridge. We both opted for the Sunday roast from the specials board and were not disappointed. We also shared a portion of cauliflower cheese. Every mouthful was delicious. We decided to indulge in deserts and again were very impressed. All the staff were very polite and friendly. I would highly recommend this venue.

Fantastic overnight getaway at this fab boutique hotel, nestled in the lovely leafy suburb of Stockbridge in Edinburgh. Sumptious room, impeccably presented. Extremely comfortable bed. Dinner was top drawer Pumpkin hummus, smoked mackerel pate followed by a super delicious steak and mushroom pie Very restful sleep, a lovely long walk around the nearby Botanical Gardens and then a delicious breakie as pictured. Excellent coffee with real freshly squeezed oj. I don't recommend places often, but can recommend The Raeburn with confidence
