Copper Blossom in Edinburgh, City of

Having been badly let down elsewhere (they didn’t have our booking on a busy rugby Saturday!) we had to find a last minute place for an early dinner. I’d heard my daughter talking about going to Copper Blossom for cocktails so thought we’d give it a go. I was fully expecting the food to be limited and maybe not the best. But it was great!! We started with lots of very delicious small plates. They were all very good, especially the prawns! We ordered some fish tacos and sliders which were apparently very good too but I was stuffed! The staff were also lovely! We had a hoot when someone arrived with a tray of Prosecco for us as my (over 60 year old!!) husband had inadvertently pressed the buzzer! We’d never heard about this before but they kindly took the ‘secco away. We’ll definitely go again! Thankyou

What a marvellous find. Having been let down by our previous booking Copper Blossom were able to fit our table of six in for drinks and food. We ordered one of each of the small plates (minus a couple that didn’t suit all palates) and were very impressed with the service, cocktail staff, the front of house and most importantly the food, which was very good. Value was great as well. Highly recommend for a fun and bustly evening with good friends.

A lovely setting with friendly and helpful staff. We enjoyed a couple of delicious cocktails then ordered from the lunch menu with one of us having two of the small brunch plates. The food was really good and beautifully presented. This is one of my favourite places to eat when visiting Edinburgh - handy for anywhere you want to visit in the New Town.

Went for lunch with a few friends & had a lovely time. One of our friends has a food allergy & staff were very happy to discuss the menu. We would highly recommend to friends & family & plan to be back in the near future.❤️

Awful service, totally overlooked in a quiet restaurant, almost embarrassingly so. Two hours for a selection of starters to share and two drinks. Made the waiter aware of a lactose allergy as we were shown to our table, yet they added cheese to her order. Still charged us, though! Terrible experience, will never go back.

Myself, husband and friends visited for a couple of drinks. Upon arrival we were given a nice booth, we ordered a few drinks - which were nice. We ordered water for the table, 3 out of 4 glasses had lipstick stains on them. When we pointed this out to the waitress, she immediately apologised and returned with clean glasses. Fair enough, these things happen. I visited the toilets, which I can only describe as absolutely disgusting. There was one toilet roll left to do all of the cubicles. The smell of urine was very strong, toilet roll on the floor, urine on the seats and no chain to flush the toilet. As I washed my hands, I noticed a chart on the wall confirming the last check the toilets had, was Friday. (it was now Monday night) When reporting this to a member of staff, I was interrupted very quickly to be told she was only cover staff…. And your point is? Do cover staff not clean toilets? Clearly not interested in listening to your customer or taking any responsibility to fix the issue. Not a nice experience at all, could be a much nicer and cleaner venue if basic hygiene was followed.

Welcomed at door with big smile & taken to taken Staff member quickly realised that he had a better seating option for our party of 8 so immediately moved me before the others arrived. Rachel came over & introduced herself, organising water & a cocktail menu for ne whilst I waited, could not fault any of it! Greeter also REALLY helped me out in mopping out for me & buying 2 scratch cards when I realised I was 2 short!!!! Above & beyond…… sadly neither were winners!!!! They were busy but cocktails & food was REALLY good, even if we did have to wait the same time for a lager as got a cocktail 🤣 Overall couldn’t have asked for a better Christmas Lunch - for a cocktail bar the food was good, great atmosphere & lovely decor. Rachel in particular needs a special mention for her patience and no nonsense attitude Hope she comes back from Canada in time for our next visit!

Fantastic experience here on Thursday. Located just off George Street, great ambience and great from start to finish. We were welcomed at the door with some character, seated, advised on drinks and food menus and some items suggested. Drinks came out in no time, food a little slower but was great quality. Considering the time of year, was really impressed with the service. We asked for suggestions on where to go next where they suggested Badger & Co across the road where we also had a really good time. Please pass on our feedback to Rachel and I think it was Kevin?

Awful experience! Would not return! Took 20 minutes to order a drink at the bar eventually got a table which we then ordered food. Food arrived and asked if there was anything else to come out with the food which the server replied ‘I’ve only got 2 hands’ extremely rude! Food arrived really cold considering we waited a long time for! Would not recommend this place.

Really poor service! Drinks took ages to come, we had paid a deposit, our drinks ended up coming to less than the deposit, the waiter only realised when we pointed it out. They then offered us shots to complete the balance, we agreed to this. However when we left they chased us up the street and asked for £20 extra! Staff were extremely rude, won’t be back.

Booked for drinks with friends as part of a Christmas night out. Staff were rude, incompetent and argumentative. Received 1 drink in the 2 hours we were there, and had a whole ordeal with 2 members of staff about the £90 deposit we paid, as we didn’t spend nearly this much due to the huge delays in service. Christmas time inevitably can cause delays due to it being so busy, however it does not excuse the awful service we received. Terrible experience, spoiled our night and some of the worst service I’ve ever experienced. Will absolutely not be back and encourage others not to go.

Great aesthetic, lovely decor. Cocktails were nice and staff fairly helpful, lovely cosy vibe. We booked for a Christmas work meal. We were missing 2 of the main large dishes and didn’t get them until the rest of the group had finished eating. They did kindly take this away from the final bill and apologised but a shame as we had booked and given the preorder form a week in advance, along with a phone call the previous day so really not sure how this was missed. Great for cocktails and food was nice. :)

Great, unique, cocktails. The staff member told us his other favourite drink spots for recommendations when he found out we were only here for a few days. Also so pretty inside!

We booked here to have some food and drinks mid afternoon, after a show. Service was okay, bit slow considering it wasn’t busy. There were only a few other customers when we arrived. We ordered the small plates for sharing, these are very poor value. We received only one potato cake, which we cut in half to share! The few chicken tenders were very small and hummus with flatbread nothing special. We enjoyed our drinks. Many of the ladies toilets had no tissue. Could have been better.

Table service was good. Food and drinks were good not spectacular. The atmosphere was sweet and pretty. A service fee is added to your bill. This should be stated and offered to be removed. The establishment failed to do this. The toilets were clean and interesting. It’s was nice to see feminine products provided. When we were leaving, a waiter dropped a bottle of beer and it went all over my pants and shoes. No apology or any kind of attempt to help me clean up. Ruined my shoes, stained. 😢

Visited for 2nd time within two wks and service still very very slow 20mins to get drinks after ordering!! Staff may also want to put filthy mop and bucket in cupboard out of customers sight! Not exactly what you want to see when using toilet’s especially as it was propped at top of stairs near main bar area and the over flowing bin!! Shame because they do nice cocktails

I have been here twice- Christmas and summer. Both times, I didn’t book but managed to get a seat for drinks. The decor is beautiful- very pink- many photo opportunities. They have a long list of cocktails, I particularly like their signature cocktails. I tried the Queen of Hearts. If you like sweet, this cocktail is for you. Presented beautifully. Will be returning when in next in Edinburgh.

Went on my own as in town for business. The place was full of groups of between four and ten people. One obvious hen party. Somehow the staff stayed in control and managed everyone. My food and service were really good in the circumstances and the vibe was great. Would love to go again when I am with family or friends. Recommend.

We went on opening as part of a Hen Weekend. At opening there was also another hen group and standard customers, so the staff did really well considering how busy it was. The food was tasty, though some parts of the dishes were cold. I imagine this is just because they were cooked first and had to wait for 30 odd other dishes to be made for my group alone. The staff were really friendly and patient, and allowed me to substitute other cocktails out as I couldn't drink any on the set menu without becoming ill, which was really appreciated. The Aesthetic was also really pretty. I'll definitely be back.

So nice food and nice drinks. Although they had ran out of quite a few drinks by 9pm which was odd. Staff were undermining each other (ie one would say they had a drink and didn’t understand why the other one had said we couldn’t get it) did not seem to be playing as a team which was also odd. This continued. We were a group of 10 and when we came to pay £700 bill. We split it equally and then all paid. 8 by card & 2 by cash. The “manager” at the till repeatedly told us that “someone hadn’t paid, someone hadn’t paid”. We all told him we had. We weren’t given any receipts even when asked. We said could he go back onto the till and get us all our receipts as this would solve the dispute. He refused to do this and just kept repeating that one of us hadn’t paid. We all waited and did not know what to do as we had all paid. Eventually we were getting nowhere so paid the extra with absolutely no explanation as to the extra we were paying and left. When we got home we all checked and 1 persons card had been declined, therefore this is where the discrepancy had occured. If the manager had just been paying attention to his card machine at the time/checked his till/receipts this would have been picked up on immediately. An overall poor experience due to lack of competency!
