Excellent food, exceptional service and one of our favourite eateries during our visit to Edinburgh. We opted for the two course deal, which was great value for money.

Hello! I had the absolute DELIGHT to attend your establishment on Saturday. As a pig enthusiast, I got chatting to one of your all-rounders, Nicholas, who also appeared to be a fellow pig fanatic, who mentioned to me that he spent two months on a pig farm in norway!! He told me that pigs can run surprisingly quick, at 11mph. What a dedicated member of staff he was. When asking for recommendations on what to order, Nicholas recommended the sage and onion stuffing because it is a herb and alongside the pulled pork sandwich. as a big fan or herbs myself, I really enjoyed this recommendation. Nicholas' work ethic was that of equivalent to a fast pig. NEVER underestimate a pig! Kind regards

We ordered a medium pork bun with stuffing and chili jam sauce after seeing this place recommended on TikTok. Unfortunately, it didn’t live up to the hype. The meat was bland, the portion felt small for the price, and the service was unwelcoming. Overall, it was disappointing and not worth the cost.

I didn't think that the combination of pulled pork and apple could be so good :) I would add more sauce to the meat or other additions, because the sandwich was not juicy. Affordable price considering that the pub is located on the most popular street in Edinburgh. A must-stop for tourists for a quick snack.

The medium sandwich costs between £7-8. For Edinburgh, it's pretty cheap. And precisely if that is what you are looking for, eating well and cheaply, this place takes the cake as the best option to choose. We ordered the traditional one, which combines the flavors of Pulled Pork with Apple Pie and I have to say that I thought the mix was great. A highly recommended place to eat something quick in Edinburgh. Gives what it promises.

Escorted to our table, taken our food and drinks order, all going well, then to be told me and my wife had been drinking before we came to to the restaurant so they were not going to serve us!!!! Absolutely amazed, felt totally humiliated and insulted. I've been to this restaurant on many occasions but never again!

The medium sizes brown bun, sage onion spread as well as mustard mayo was a great combo! The pork was tender and the bun was soft and the sandwich was delicious overall and great value for money! The only downside of this place is that it did not have a toilet, at least not in the public area - I can imagine they can provide you with access if you ask

We have been here at least three times its gorgeous food, but apparently, if you've had a drink anywhere else you can not be served, we asked for a carafe of water and a small glass of wine!! We are totally shocked it was half empty, too. We had sat down and ordered the casserole . They young waitress felt embarrassed telling us we weren't welcome . Really bad we feel violated. What a shame.

I went with my partner and we ordered two medium pulled pork sandwiches, obviously to take away because there is no place to eat inside. The food was very good, the only problem I find is that it is a little expensive for the quantity. However, the latter does not mean that I recommend going to the site and trying it if you are going to spend a few days in Edinburgh.

Meat was good, but should’ve been more generous on the sauce though. Lack of the sauce makes it dry and blend. The bun was soft and nice.

Learned about this place from Somebody Feed Phil (Netflix). It was loaded with pork, but needed a bit more flavour (maybe for my Indian Palette) But great place to catch a quick bite while enjoying victorias street

Very friendly staff. We went on the recommendation of a guide, we didn't like it, the taste of the meat was very insipid. I recommend ordering one to share, if you like ordering another. I'm not going to repeat. There is no toilet either. I give two stars for the friendliness of their employees.

We were served by Nick 2 weeks ago during our trip to Edinburgh! He was super helpful is explaining the halal options they had available! This was very appreciated, especially due to our screaming child!

The storefront made us want it, but the sawdich was super fatty and had no particular flavor. He stayed on our stomachs all day.

My experience on the site has been generally very good; They have been quick when it comes to giving us food, there is a sign that shows the menu in different languages ​​for the foreigners who come. Regarding the place, it is quite small and there is hardly any place to sit (a few stools and three bars), I would recommend taking it to go. Now regarding the food, in case anyone doesn't know, they are open until the suckling pig they cook is finished, I don't know if that morning or the night before, so you have to be quick. There are three sizes of bread to choose from, as well as sauces and "topping". For me the meat is nothing out of this world, but it is very good although what I would highlight would be the bread or even the sauce they add. I would have liked to have taken a photo but I completely missed it, both about the place and the food. Finally, clarify that the service was very friendly and fast, as I indicated at the beginning, you may even be lucky enough to have them speak to you in your language because one of the workers, for example, knew Spanish.

The price is very reasonable and the taste is just plain.

It's good to eat something good quickly at a reasonable price in the city, the pulled pork is delicious, but it lacks a little more sauce and quantity inside the bread. It is very crowded, perhaps that could have influenced the quality of the product.

I decided to try Oink based on the recommendation of one of the guides I had on one of the excursions I went on when I was in Edinburgh and it became my favorite place at lunch time, so much so that I came back again. -The place is small, I think it is more intended for Take Away, although they have a few tables in case you want to eat your order right there. They have an open kitchen, from the window itself you can see the pork they serve, an aspect that I value very positively. This is already something that manages to attract a lot of your attention and of course, you feel hungry and want to try their product. -The service is fast, friendly and efficient. The staff, at least when they served me, were able to take the order and offer recommendations in different languages. Despite the massive audience that the place has, since it is quite popular, they were very friendly in their customer service with me. -The product is delicious. I couldn't define it any other way. The quality is excellent in addition to being recent. In my case, I recommend the medium size: “Oink 160gr” with white bread, caramelized onion and as a dressing, only if you like spicy, choose the “Chilli jam”. You will have a perfect bite with the juiciness of the meat accompanied by a sweet-spicy contrast. What I also thought was an aspect to value positively is that they add a piece of pork skin rind on top of your sandwich. Even though I ordered Take Away and my hotel was about a 17 minute walk away, the crust arrived and felt crispy. I see the quality-price ratio as totally justified, they offer a product that is worth it. Congratulations to the team.

Very busy little shop with amazing service! If you go during their rush theres not many places to sit. The food is nice and of really high quality.

The food is excellent, but the spaces are tiny. Ideal for ordering and leaving! They don't serve alcohol and the service can be chaotic at times.

Focusing strictly on the foot: HARD PASS. Never had a more flavorless sandwich in my life, even with the spread and bbq sauce. Maybe because I’m from the U.S. and we have incredible bbq but this was definitely not it. The people, super nice and hard-working.

The guide recommended it to us and it was a success. The pulled pork sandwiches are delicious. You choose the size of the bread, white or black bread and the sauces.

It is the typical place in Edinburgh where every tourist stops, it is good to make a short stop and continue with your day. The sandwich is good, the potatoes are from bags and you can save them if you want, they are not a big deal. If you don't know how to order, the girls are very nice and will be happy to help you. I think it should be a "mandatory" stop. It is on one of the typical streets of Edinburgh

I had heard good things but when I went in it smelled awful, the food was both greasy and dry and on top of that the man who made the sandwich (I think I heard someone say his name was Nick) sneezed basically directly into it right in front of me and handed it to me like nothing happened. Absolutely appalling

We really wanted to try it and it's not bad to get by. There are several sauces and sizes of the sandwich to choose from, we ordered the apple sauce and it was delicious. The only bad thing is that the place is tiny and there is nowhere to stay and eat even standing up, the weather wasn't bad so we could eat without a problem on the street. For those who say they close early, they told us that when the pork runs out they close.

I was last month (December 2024) in Oink. Everyone was talking about this restaurant because of the reviews on TikTok and Google, and even local guides recommend it, so I decided to go try it. The food is good and, for being in Edinburgh and on one of the main streets, value for money is super good. Of course, it's not crazy either. If you go, I recommend ordering the large option with a menu, because I ordered the small one and, if you are one of those who eat well, you will be left hungry. One thing I didn't love was the schedule. One day we went at 5:02 in the afternoon and they told us that they were no longer serving, that they had closed at 5. The funny thing is that, according to the local guides, they often close when the suckling pig runs out (logically), and it can be later or even earlier, depending on whether they have product left or not. Still, we came back the next day at 4:15 and had no problems.

Visited Oink whilst in edingburgh, the queue was quite long but definitely worth the wait, they’re so efficient. I had a pigs in blanket with sweet chill jam and a just a standard roll with stuffing and apple sauce. I think the sweet chilli sauce was kind of overpowering however the meat was lovely and tender not too salty. Honestly so lovely would reccomend to anyone visiting Edinburgh, its a must have sorry pork police xx

This is a special dish and it tastes awesome. The little skin is crunchy but only a tiny piece. The sitting place is relatively small and mostly high chairs. It is worth to try at least once in the trip.

This is a small venue. Sorry, what I should say is...this is an incredibly popular and delicious small venue. The menu is slim, but what they do, they do blumin well. Perfectly cooked pork, perfectly flavoured stuffing, all shoved into a convenient bread roll.

very small place, we had a short queue, very smooth, delicious sandwich with pulled pork and different combinations (of your choice) the place has some seats, a sofa and some stools. recommended because it is typical, we paid around £20-25 for two sandwiches (1 small and 1 large) with a cocacola

The taste of the menu suits my and my wife's tastes, the service is friendly and fast. The difficulty is that there are quite a lot of visitors and the available places to eat are quite limited, even though we can eat outside the restaurant because the menu is in the form of bread or in a lunch box.

We order 2 oink, with 1 with brown bread, onion and apple sauce and 1 just brown bread ,onion and no sauce. I think better without any sauce. The meat really tender and not salty. the buns is soft too.

Another must-see in Edinburgh. Fast food but made with the best pork. It is advisable to order the crusts (skins) to accompany the sandwich

I went there to find out. Hamburger good but not exceptional. A bit pricey for just a medium sized burger (£7.95). However, the meat and bread are of good quality. Very little room to eat seated inside, especially if there are many of you.

After visiting the National Museum of Scotland, we decided to stop here for lunch. Despite the half hour queue, I must say that the sandwich was really good, with quality meat and a pleasant taste. However, there are some aspects that could be improved: the choice of toppings is rather limited (cheddar, salad/vegetables and potatoes are missing) and, despite having taken two sandwiches of different sizes (me large and my girlfriend medium), we did not leave completely full . Another note concerns the place, which is very small and a bit chaotic: it is difficult to relax because you have the feeling that the people in line are waiting for your place. Having said that, the sandwich is worth it, so it can be a valid option for a quick break, but I recommend keeping these aspects in mind if you are looking for a quieter and more substantial lunch.

Pork is dry and stringy, even the onion filling couldn't alleviate that. Bun wasn't toasted I seriously don't get the hype around this place. Save yourself the queue and go to the farmer's market where it's actually good

We ordered a delicious shredded beef sandwich with BBQ sauce. They have a menu in Spanish. We ordered the large 10 pound one to share. It is to take away.

Honestly don’t waste your money. Me and my two friends came here after being hyped up to us. The meat was unseasoned and dry with the sauce (we got 2 bbq and 1 chilli cheese) being invisible. Somehow the meat was wet and dry at the same time with some slop of stuffing on a cheap white untoasted bread roll. The restaurant was grim tiny, overpacked with walked pork ingrained into the ground. Made me want to vomit when I was eating it and now 5 hours later I still want to. Waste of time and money.

Oink, located on curving and steep Victoria St., puts out delicious pulled pork sandwiches on buns. They offer a variety of things, such as Haggis. Eat-in or take-away. I found it fascinating to see a roasted pig’s head on display in the window. On another trip, a pig’s body. Reasonable prices. Will return again.

Their only product is pork, in a sandwich or in a bowl. They have the menu in different languages. They make one pig a day, they close when they finish it or at 5 in the afternoon. Good to eat something quick.

Quantity of the largest (250g) quite acceptable, they prepare it quickly and you don't have to wait long. Flavor and such, well... it's nothing out of this world, it's good but nothing more. Eat, you eat but it is not the greatest delight in the world either.

Stopped by here for lunch, I got a "grunter" version of the sandwich with more meat with haggis and chilli jam made by them. The flavors are good, I personally really liked the haggis with the pork. Good quality/price ratio.

Pork was pretty good. Was attracted by the large crowd in front, but left kinda disappointed. Espresso machine wasn't working, so I got served warm milk after the poor guy tried four times (while the store backed up) but was charged full price anyway.

The place is curious and has a lot of fame. There is almost no room inside and there is a long line. It's really rich but not for the fame it has.
