What a find, deserves more than 3.5 score. Tuna melt on ciabatta roll was tasty as was my egg mayo roll. Really excellent cappuccino too, really milky and delicious. The cakes are something else, the Strawberry Danish is DIVINE and my partner assured me the fudge doughnut was spectacular. Worth dropping in if you are in the area, if you are pressed for time jump in and buy a cake, you will not regret it. I intend to make a point of visiting again when in that neck of the woods.

Long established family-run cafe in the indoor shopping centre in Glenrothes. Extremely popular with the locals. They provide a full range of services from cooked breakfasts, mid morning tea & coffee (with cakes!), lunches and afternoon teas. Counter service can be slow when it's busy but it's worth the wait. They have a glorious selection of cakes, scones and other goodies and their afternoon meal deals are excellent value. The whole atmosphere is relaxed and informal, no airs and graces from the staff, just a genuine friendliness and willingness to make you feel welcome.

Visited here twice within a week - first visit was on a Friday night as two couples for drinks after a meal elsewhere. The cocktail menu is huge and caters to just about every taste there is. We tried a fair few between us and loved every one of them. It was a Friday night and there was a total of about 12 customers including us 4 which was a surprise. A week later I went with a group of girlfriends for lunch and drinks. I have to say the service from the girl waiting on us was second to none. She really was customer focused snv I hope her bosses see that. The food was amazing - I had a chicken burger and it was delicious. It was a Friday afternoon and only a handful of other customers were in. People really need to use their local venues as it's unclear how they can keep running with few customers and it would be a real shame as this place is a bit of gem right in the city centre.

Started off pretty good, though it quickly deteriorated. As we were the last customers in the restaurant ( we were told it was open) we pretty much got whatever food was left over. It was cold, obviously been sitting for ages and we left most of it. We found out later that there was only a trainee chef on duty and he left as soon as we were served. Initially the room was also ok, being of a good size and pleasant. However it was stiflingly hot (you couldn't touch the radiators) so we had to open the window. ( we had actually asked in an email previously if the heating could be turned down as we prefer a cooler room) Bad idea... the outside was full of drinkers till late into the morning, so between the noise and the heat, we didn't sleep much at all. Half way into the night, my wife decided to have a refreshing shower. Another very bad idea... The hot water was not far off boiling (no mixer taps or plug so you couldn't safely wash your hands in the sink). The shower water was just as hot as the temperature dial didn't work and then she couldn't close the shower door. As a builder I quickly noticed that the main bracket holding the entire glass screen to the ceiling was totally missing. Anyone attempting to move the shower door ran the very real risk of collapsing the glass screen, the results of which would not bear thinking about. After a long, hot, hungry, noisy and unpleasant night, we just got up and left. As the previous owner of a number of self catering properties, I am aware of the need for feedback, so I emailed the owner explaining why we left so suddenly and my very serious concerns over the dangerous hot water and the very dangerous shower screen. I expressed my opinion that the room should be shut down immediately until repairs were made. Under no circumstances, could the cleaner/owner not have known the condition of the shower and the hot water. The owner initially responded and apologised, stating that the room would be closed and repairs would be done asap. I was also told I would be refunded in full for the room and food, and offered another booking. After this initial offer I never heard from them again. We never received a refund or details to make another booking. I emailed them again a month or so later but my email was ignored. As a business owner, I am acutely aware of the need for maintenance. The maintenance of this room was negligent, dangerous and should an actual accident have occurred, the insurance pay out would have been huge. This is why I chose to talk directly to the owner instead of posting a poor review. I am posting this now as they failed to do anything at all and I was pretty much fobbed off.

We arrived at 4.40 and were told they would only serve drinks and cakes as closing at 5.00 which was fine. We ordered cakes, pots of tea and coffees. The cake was served in paper bags and drinks in takeaway paper mugs. When I asked for a proper cup they refused as it was near closing time and we never saw tea pots. An American couple came in after us at 4.50 and wanted to buy 2 cans of drinks to takeaway and they were refused service. They told us they had been having a great friendly trip round Scotland and this was the only time they had encountered rude unfriendly service. I refused the paper mug of water with a tea bag floating in it and left. Do NOT go there! It’s awful!

Came here for dinner a few weeks ago and had the most horrific experience of my life. I ordered a chicken ceaser, and when it came over to my table it had salad on it. Personally I don’t believe in putting earthly things into our bodies, and this REALLY threw me over the edge. I went home crying, should be more specific on the menu that this has worm chow on it. When I asked one of the workers to change this for me they tried to charge me double, all I wanted was chicken with a twist of ancient Rome to it. Staff were unexperienced and uncultured, by not meeting my needs. Do not recommend at all, I cried into my pillow all night after this happened. Sorry Pettycur Bay, your customers are not mind readers and can’t tell what is on the dish if you do not specify!!!!!🤬🤬

Went for a dinner with a friend, we had soup of the day and mushroom pâté as starters and then flat iron steak and fish & chips as our mains, no desserts. We both enjoyed our food very much, service was good too. Would recommend.

Usually absolutely love this bakery and on Mother’s Day they were doing an afternoon tea box so we ordered this for collection. The box itself was lovely, albeit smaller in person than what it looked like on the picture but still really nice cakes as always. However, when we collected we ordered two pink beetroot lattes, as we’d seen the pictures on their Instagram and they looked lovely. The woman behind the counter started making them, and then another staff member arrived, and the woman said to her ‘do you know how to make the beetroot lattes?’ To which the other lady said ‘eh, no’ and she said ‘is it just powder and milk?’ And she shrugged. When we received them not only did they taste awful (like wet mud with vanilla syrup in) they looked nothing like the photo. I think it’s so unprofessional to openly discuss not knowing how to make them in front of customers, especially when they aren’t cheap. Why advertise all over Instagram this lovely pink latte but then none of your staff even know how to make it? Poor service. Worth noting there was a huge queue behind us as everyone had come to collect their boxes, and staff were taking ages to make coffees, seemingly unprepared for a ‘Sunday rush’, which should have been very easily predicted.

Ordered online quoted 30 minutes came 1 hour later, the food was terrible, cold and over cooked. Chips cold hard and fit for the bin and that’s were they ended up. Burger roll, burger cold and hard. It was supposed to come with kebab meat, sorry it did 6 or 7 small pieces. I also had 2 sausages, I don’t know how long they had been sitting on the hot plate, but hard and warmish. I also ordered 2 cans of coke, they were cold and nice. So all was not lost.

Before you order any food, just check the catering staff will stay longer enough. I booked a table here on a Friday evening at 7pm. It's like a large hall with kitchen tables & chairs with a bar at one end. The staff were welcoming. I ordered from a limited menu and the food was good and value for the money. Before 8pm I tried to order a sweet only to be told the catering had gone home! I know I was the only one in the pub (some sat outside), but it would've been nice to be informed the staff were leaving early.

Absolute joke of a place! It took over 2hours for a delivery and when I called to enquire how much longer I only got a poor reason. Called again and I could only talk to a young girl as the owner wouldn’t speak. Food was just warm and no apology was given by driver either. Will never recommend!
