The Original Masterchef Crossford in Fife

Food was cold, chicken pakora was a reheat, veg pakora not cooked, raw in the middle. This place needs to try sticking to traditional chip shop, once they get that correct move onto what they are currently offering on the menu and do it correctly. Never again will I order from here.

Calling this place grim would be a compliment. Imagine one of those back woods diners in an American horror movie run by a crazy grandpa with a shotgun and no teeth, where the staff have never been out of their own remote community, and the deep freeze is filled with random body parts and you’re getting closer.I’m not suggesting there ARE body parts in the freezer at this establishment but equally, I won’t be trying one of their doners.

Never was a big pizza fan but after trying them from here i'm now a convert. Great customer service, i just called and collected, worked a treat. Food was ready when they said it would be and still fresh and hot enough when i got home. Really nice friendly bunch.

Don't get me wrong the food from this takeaway is great but time n time again they get the orders wrong. I don't expect to wait for an hour n half for delivery when I stay in the same village as the shop. I ordered £40 worth of food and the doner pizza I ordered with extra cheese arrived with NO doner meat, how can you get that wrong!! U see the extra cheese but you don't see the doner meat unbelievable. This isn't the 1st time they've fecked up an order either. It's a shame because the foods really good but lack of attention to details is going to let this business down.I did get a refund but at the end of the day I'd rather just get what I ordered.

Food was sublime, outstanding worthy of a 5 star restaurant other than 4 star restaurant. My new husband and I can't thank him enough for all the wonderful food we had experienced there and many thanks for our wedding breakfast. Everyone loved it in our party. THANKS FOR A MEMORABLE TIME SPENT AT THE KEAVIL HOUSE HOTEL. And OMG if you get the chance try the Flat Iron Steak I highly recommend it. XXX

Ordered my food from here and waited on my delivery to be given the wrong order. 3 times the poor delivery driver who was getting all anxious had to come to my door because she was given the wrong food to bring. Not only does this make the delivery drivers work harder but also makes the delivery driver feel incompetent there trying to earn a penny but with a takeaway place like that I’m glad I don’t work there The food looked like it was made yesterday. I certainly won’t be back

Waited 1hr 30mins for a delivery which is 5 mins from my home. When it arrived the pizza wasn’t cooked properly. Worst doner pizza I’ve had. Most of it went in the bin. Will never order from this place again.

So disappointed. Warning to others in that the menu that states “rump steak” is in fact nothing like that. It is a cheap elongated burger and should be advertised as such.Chips were a mixture of reheats and raw chips and therefore disgusting Pizza crunch was soggy and awful. It was certainly not a crunch in any way.Waiting 1 hour and 40 minutes for what was a really poor attempt for a meal is unacceptable I could go on but I won’t other than to say DO NOT GO THERE

Very disappointed in the service myself and my friends were given. We ordered via Just Eat and we have done so many times before with out problem. My friend ordered our food roughly at 6.30 and some of us hadn't food all day for certain circumstances and was hoping our food would come on time or maybe even early, like it had in the past. The driver was late because he became lost but never ran to ask for directions until 15 minutes after the time given, we waited to hear from the driver later but we heard nothing from him so we decided to ring the restaurant it self they explained how they were going to contact the driver and ring us back once done. We waited for another 10 minutes for the restaurant to contact us or the driver to contact or arrive with the food so mu friend rang again to see if there was any word on the driver. We managed to in contact with him as he had come back to the restaurant, we gave him the directions from the person who lives here. My friend wanted to speak again with the other person at the restaurant to see what the plan was and if we would get any compensation, which is a reasonable enough request after wait for this long and having minimal communication but they hung up on her. She then rang again and received an abrupt and rood response which was "the driver is on his way, I have 30 people on the phone asking about this (their food) you either want the food or not" this made my friend feel like the situation was being blamed on her and she then hung up. It was 5/10 minutes after the call that the driver arrived and gave us the food, he said that he wasn't a new driver but the satnav that had made home lost and suggested to have a sign at the end of the street so people will know were to go. After well after an hour our food was expected to come we say down to eat and I was disappointed in this as the chips that we had were not hot but lukewarm and I had asked for brown sauce but didn't receive it.I am very disappointed.

Ordered the Turkish Box with Donner Meat. It was excellent. The helping of Donner Meat seemed to be enough for four people. My friend is Greek and said the Donner Meat was very traditional Greek gyro meat. Would recommend this place to all.

rude and indifferent staff. The food was very poor. I had a white pudding supper that I was told was just cooked... aye yesterday. stodgy and soggy. Daughter had chicken pakora which was ok. But the chips were greasy and undercooked. Live in the village and wont be back.

Just had a takeaway tonight all I can say is WOW had their Turkish pizza, chips n curry sauce the pizza was amazing loads of donner meat, pizza base was amazing now onto the chips n curry sauce also fantastic sauce was spicy but not too spicy and chips were their usually standard lovely thank you Master Chef for another quality meal :-)

Guys, we went to your chippy exclusively, because you had your food in cardboard boxes - so classy and eco friendly. What on earth compelled you to go to polystyrene?!! Food is good but we won’t be back until you go back to the cardboard boxes - when you do, we’ll be delighted to carry on supporting the local business and give you a 5 * all round. Plastic is disgusting.

Was on time but took 1 and 1/2 hrs and if we ordered from them and not just eat it always comes quick the chips all went in the bin they were all over cooked and everything smelt like fish

We ordered at 17.30 for 7pm. It is now ten to 8 and we still haven’t received our order. Can someone please tell me why my order was accepted if you knew that you couldn’t meet the order. Alternatively you accepted orders after ours which meant you could not meet it. A reply to this would be helpful!

Not all our food turned up it was missing my sons dinner and then it took another half an hour for his dinner

Usually cover themselves by telling you 1 hr 10 mins for delivery. Longest I've waited is 35 mins. Last delivery 15 mins and live out in the sticks! Really good food too. No complaints

I ordered a takeaway on tuesday when it arrived it was cold, i phoned and complained, was told next takeaway would be free, i phoned tonight and had abuse telling me my food could not be cold and it would be my last free meal before the abuser hung up, which left me shocked, my delivery arrived and yes it was cold yet again, i put it in the microwave but it was disgusting, but apart from the disgusting food i was shocked at how i was spoken to, i have been in business most of my working life and wouldn't think to treat a customer that way, maybe they should spend money on heat bags? but strangely enough i live a mile away i could see the point if i lived 5 miles away, they won't get another penny from me

I missed the delivery as I misunderstood that the delivery could be any time until the time given. I had phoned early to save time as I had just finished work.They very kindly called me to say I wasn’t there and they re-delivered very quickly. Great service and great food.

Ordered a delivery at 9.05pm delivered at 22.42pm. Meant to have a grilled chicken wrap which is meant to be toasted so melted cheese. It’s all cold. Also wet from condensation as took so long. Phoned twice and just cheeky staff. I notice this isn’t the first time you’ve had w review about the length of time it takes to deliver. Maybe think about taking on an extra delivery driver as you’re only going to lose customers.

My favourite chippy. But really disappointed tonight. I ordered a pickled onion but got a pickled egg, which I hate. My chips were lovely. The sausages were nice, but the batter was really bad. It was like cardboard and rubber together. You couldn’t chew threw it so I picked it off. A light golden crispy batter should only ever be.... still my favourite chippy though. So friendly and always deliver early.

The chips were old and stale. The fish was not fresh and the black pudding was dry and hard. Absolutely awful.

Over an hour for a basic 2 item order to be delivered fairly local and for it to be literally basic food with nothing to shout about. Edible but deffinately not enjoyable

Well for one I will never be ordering from here again the only thing out of this order that I managed to eat was the cheese and chicken omelette even though the chicken seem to be cooked bone-dry to be like deli chicken on a sandwich the chips and gravy were just in 1 solid lump the gravy is definitely Just Bisto granules badly stirred all the items come in containers that cause condensation so you can imagine the chips are soggy the chocolate brownie and cream was just water with a chocolate brownie swimming in it and the chips and everything came cold thanks again for the unpleasant meal

Called the restaurant because I forgot to order some chips, the staff were helpful and polite. the food was fantastic. and well presented. and to top it off the delivery was early. will definitely order again.

Don't know what went wrong tonight, chips were cold, and think your delivery driver may have had the pizza on the back seat as the cheese was all stuck to the lid and we got a tomato pizza. So disappointed it all landed in the bin, waste of money

Food an hour late. Called the restaurant after 40 minutes of waiting - they said “haven’t you got it yet? The driver is on his way to you.” Then they just hung up the phone. Order turned up 20 minutes later. Not the first time an order’s been late but this is just unacceptable.

PAPER thin pizza but tasted great. Pity the extra thin pizza will make MasterChef not my goto pizza place

Ordered at 18.05, said it would be here 19.55, phoned up at 19.05 and offered to go collect instead to be told it wouldn't be long. It still didn't arrive until 20.15! More than 2 hours after ordering!

arrived super early, and a lovely delivery guy who had a laugh with me at the door and brightened up my night, great service.

Told me food would be here for quarter to 9 it's now quarter to 10 I ordered at 8 and food is still no here!!

Delivery was pre-ordered and delivery time was confirmed by restaurant. food did not arrive on time. Called them and was told that it was because the shop was busy (my order was in before the shop opened so should have been prioritised) . Delivery driver turned up an hour later with cold food that was over cooked and portion sizes were very small.

Order made at 5-30pm,delivery time 7-05pm finally got the order at 8-30 pm,the food was Luke warm Driver was full of apologies,was gonna ask,"Did the flight get delayed"

ordered food at 6:45 to come asap, were given a delivery time of 8:20 and food came at 9, was food was cold and juice was warm, also chilli sauce was missing

waited over 2 and a half hours , asked to leave a review while still waiting on food to arrive. contacted the restaurant and repeatedly told be another half n hour. delivery service is awful, even for a Saturday night 2 and a half hour wait is appalling

Ordered 6.12pm / Phoned Restaurant at 7.53pm and was told I was next order and they only had 2 delivery drivers / food arrived at around 8.23pm. Food was cold and off poor quality. Chips hard / cold and fish was cold. Not happy and will not use again. Last time I used them food was around 1 hour late. Very disappointing.

Ordered at 17:00. Called at 18:40 and was told it would be another 30mins. Called at 19:30 and was told it was next to leave. Arrived at 20:10. Food was cold. Small tub of cheese, small tub of curry sauce. The goujons were terrible! NEVER ordering again. Do not waste your money.
