Joe's Food Bar in Fife

Absolute joke of a place! It took over 2hours for a delivery and when I called to enquire how much longer I only got a poor reason. Called again and I could only talk to a young girl as the owner wouldn’t speak. Food was just warm and no apology was given by driver either. Will never recommend!

The food was awful in fact inedible and was thrown in the bin, the batter on the fish was chewy like chewing gum and the fish was of low quality, definitely not worth the £9.80 of my hard earned money. The only good thing were the chips I had to wait a few minutes on them cooking so we knew they were fresh. Pic attached of how dirty the fish was and how thick the uncooked batter on the inside was.....yuk

Ordered food on through just eat, paid in full. Daughter picked it up and was asked to pay again. Called them and no refund as they can't look into it after the day of order!!! Do not order online !! Total rip off !!

order was 2 hours late. called 45 mins after the delivery time and was told it was on the next delivery. the order didn't show up after another 30 mins. Called back to cancel the order as you can't do it on the dunfermline eats app. the order was completed by them as delivered when it wasn't. they advised they would refund but not holding my breath.

Ordered a cheeseburger, and was sent a fried cheeseburger. Apparently on the app, it states whether you want it fried or not and it clearly doesn't on the `Dunfermline `Eats app. When I phoned to ask why I had received this order, I was told I put it in wrong and requested it. Does not say anywhere if you want fried, because why would I get a burger fried and no bun with it?

Never on time. And we just stay a few minutes from the place. And it gets made round a hour and an half. I don't think that's right. We waited a hour an half for our dinner???

Absolutely disgusting. Order was over £30. 1 hour later Food missing. Phoned up and the guy tried to argue that the food was there even though I'm looking at it (or lack of it) ! Another hour and 10 minutes and the missing food arrives, stone cold and the chips were severely undercooked verging on raw!

Regularly use Joe’s as food is good however Customer Service Training needed soon for the female working tonight! Won’t be returning in a hurry!

We have used Joes for many years and continually experience excellent service which has now been further enhanced by the cook to order which ensures my fish, Haggis and chips are hot, crispy and at it’s best

Fresh food ,customer service was excellent,fair prices. Delivery took about an hour .Would definitely recommend. It’s not a restaurant, it’s a chip shop.

Ordered a calzone with chips for a pick up was told 15 minutes and hey ho it was actually ready can't fault the place prices are have decent,the grub is well cooked and delicious ,staff are always friendly

Got a leaflet through the door in Lochgelly for them and thought oh great dinners sorted! Downloaded the app and registered and they can't deliver to Lochgelly from Cowdenbeath? It's the next town!!! Absolute shambles!! Why post menus through the door if they can't deliver 5 minutes along the road!!!!! Complete morons!!

We have tried everything you can think of in this fish bar and have never been disappointed,good pizza good fish good puddings it has the lot.

A big improvement in food , what a difference to the taste ,I believe it is under new management and it has certainly improved in leaps and bounds with a huge variety on the menu

Now that its under the new management i would defo recommend this place... food is a 100% better than it was and i regularly eat from here....

I absolutely love this place. It is absolutely tasty. Even the way you did the Turkish pizza for my partner was really good. He loved how you put the meat on top of the pizza rather than in the pizza dough so thank you. We will be ordering from here again

Hadn’t been for a while and now remember why. Ordered a chicken kebab and watch led as the chicken was microwaved before being placed on the grill.

batter on the jumbo sausage was nice but chips were greasy and really soggy!

AWFULL FOOD......... STANDARDS HAVE SLIPPED Burgers were under cooked!!! Fish was greasy!! Disappointed aint the word for it. Best AVOID FOOD FROM HERE. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WE WONT BE BACK!!!!!

I've just moved here and since ordering from joes restaurant . They have been superb on time or before I've not had any problems there fantastic and provide great food.

By far the best fish and chip shop in Cowdenbeath. Would recommend the pakora calzone as a total winner.

We ordered two chips cheese and curry sauce tonight. 1. Where was the cheese and why we're the chips cold? 2. Why was it cold curry sauce? They were on time just wasn't warm and the cheese was non existent!!

Not great. Pizza bases burnt, arrived late, driver forgot drinks, food wasn't hot.

Been having deliveries from joes as I had stopped after a couple of cold suppers but this has improved and the food has been hot tasty and well presented in a cardboard box as polistirene makes every thing soggy well done joes give them a try delivery was quick and the driver was courteous and cheerful

The king rib batter was horrible, it was hard and over cooked. It usually nice and cooked really nice. I didnt enjoy it one bit. I'm put off from ordering from you's again.

Food arrived after waiting 1 hour and 30 minutes, the chips were cold and the chicken in the wrap was dry and burnt around the edges! So disappointed! First time we ordered from here it was lovely this time not even close!

Don't usually write reviews but feel I need to on this. If I could mark this review with 0 stars I would!!! Waited 2 HOURS before food arrived. phoned up after an hour and 20 mins to hear it was just leaving the shop and it still never arrived for ages after! The food wasn't even worth the wait won't be ordering from there again. Would have cancelled it but it was pre-paid. Shocking customer service.

ordered 2 sausage suppers, sausages were fine but chips had obviously been sat a while and were stale. ordered haggis fritters and asked salt and vinegar on them, they were good but missing the salt and vinegar. ordered a donner kebab which was the most expensive thing on the order and it didnt arrive so my brother had to go without a meal. and it took over an hour to deliver to our house which is 8 mins tops by car from the take away.

Was not keen on vegetable salad this time came with spicy onions not for me everything else A1

The service I put half because I done mine online, delivery time was quick and efficient, the food quality I have had better from them, I ordered hot dog the bun was rock solid all way through the bottom, I got potato fritters they were good but some of the actual potato was crunchy like it wasn't cooked properly ( no wasn't the batter ) and I also got chips and cheese the chips were all crispy and the cheese wasn't even on the chips it was all clumped at the back of the tub, not the best ave had this time round

Arrived within half an hour and pizza was excellent - Joe's do the best pizza in Cowdenbeath by far. Not greasy at all, nice light base and stacked with toppings. Thanks guys!

Asked for sauce salt and vinegar on both chips and I got nothing on them. Also asked for chilli sauce on burgers and didn't get it. Wasn't happy.

Brilliant chip shop, messed the order up first time but were more than happy to sort it and deliver a new one as quick as they could! Never happened before and order here all the time!

Pizza was soggy, it was like the mushrooms or peppers had been wet. There was to much cheese on both pizzas. Won't be ordering pizzas again. Disappointed as we have had other food from here before and has a good rating.

I phoned to cancel order as they changed delivery time to 1H 20mins. Sounded like 2 women discussing this issue then i was told itll only take 40 mins that must have been a mistake about the time. The food took 1H 40mins to arrive. By that time my wife went to bed for work and i was left with some wasted food. Thanks Joes 👍🏻

Order every week usually a Thursday and the wraps are amazing however tonight was very difficult. Dripping with grease. Must be a different cook on a Friday.

All the food from the Munchie box was very cold and there was hardly any chips or donner meat. I said no chilli sauce but you's gave me it anyway. I would prefer garlic sauce. It's put me off from ordering from you's again.

Almost 30 mins late on a Wed night, also says 12" pizza for price of 9" Mon-Wed, i got charged the full price of the 12" that's false advertising right there! bandits :)

Special calzone the dough was burnt and the chill was to spicy and all in the one bit. There should be more than one choice for sauce for the munchie box. It puts me off from wanting to order from yous again

This is the worst take away I've ever ordered from! The fish had numerous large bones in it, the chips were incredibly greasy and rubbery and worst of all I ordered a 'chicken salad'. A pitiful excuse for a meal. A box full of small chicken pieces, low quality chalk like cheese and huge pieces of onion completely drenched in salad cream! Admittedly delivery time was good but the quality of food was horrendous.

Always made exactly how I like it. Wouldn't go anywhere else.
