We called in when visiting Smoo Caves to a burger van in the carpark of this cafe. Served by a very friendly lady and had amazing burgers, hot dogs, bacon rolls and drinks. Refreshing to be somewhere where you are welcomed. We sat out on the picnic tables. Highly recommend.

A lovely restaurant with nice food and lovely helpful staff. A spacious restaurant with great views. On offer was fish and chips, macaroni cheese, steak and mushroom pie, beef and haggis olives.

We had booked a table in the restaurant but were set up in the 'Snug' instead as there was a large party in. We were happy with that as the Snug has a better atmosphere, though is a bit dated. Our food was good, the staff were welcoming and the service efficient.

Been going to CJ’s for approx 10 years, but enough is enough. This use to be one of the best chippies in Elgin by far, but whether its under different management or it’s just a lack of effort, it’s totally gone downhill. Our last 2 fish suppers were dry and fish was very thin. You use to get quick a plump flaky haddock, but clearly not anymore. The batter was overcooked, it use to have a nice crunchy, moist texture, but this was more like a deep fried brandy basket. And as for the chips. Boke. Nothing fresh about them. Not be going back. Id rather spend another £5-10 for something more upmarket, knowing that I wont have that feeling of just being robbed. Sorry CJ’s but this is on you. And not as much as a smile or a thankyou when you leave.

Note - now known as Ambrosia Cafe but the receipt still says "Annyas". Stopped by for a quick lunch whilst busy in Inverness. Had the all day breakfast at £7.99 but held the toast and ordered extra bacon and extra egg - for just another 75p. Bargain! Clearly freshly cooked - nice moist tasty sausage, quality bacon and superbly cooked eggs (not overdone nor uncooked). Tasty black pud. Can't fault it. Just the thing to fill a hole - and I always love a good full English (or Scottish!) breakfast.

Staff were great and so friendly. £15 for two coffees and cakes was a bit much when Wetherspoons is down the street and half the price. We had been in there earlier and got unlimited coffees plus two desserts for £8 for an idea of price as my dad had an appointment we had to wait on in Dumbarton. The store itself is a disaster. I’ve never seen a Costa with actual holes in the ceiling from water damage and multiple stained spots where it’s leaking. The front signage of the store is also missing on one side with a tarp with COSTA branding covering about a third and exposed wood ply behind the rest. It looks really tatty and run down. Again top thanks to the staff on shift trying their best in a store falling down around them. You really need to look at the condition of the store whoever manages this branch.

I would give two stars for the food and one star for table etiquette. We were unimpressed when we sat down to a table setting of basic low-quality, stamped-out flatware with sharp edges. Three of us ordered meat (duck, pork and beef), the other fish. No alternative, appropriate knives were brought to suit the food, nor was the cutlery replaced after the starter. There were splotches of dried food debris on the underside of all the placemats, which apparently never gets wiped off when they are stacked. The food itself was okay, but portions were on the small side and overpriced for what it was, e.g. two slices of duck breast, 1" slice of sea bass, very little vegetable to accompany. The chicken liver parfait starter was good but came with only three small slices of toasted baguette and bread was £6 extra. There was an abundance of wait staff operating on high-speed settings. We had trouble understanding what kept so many staff on the run (literally) given the restaurant was not full and could have been disruptive were it a romantic dinner for two. We just watched the show. Overall, a four-star restaurant should pay more attention to detail, quality and cleanliness, if it wants to have a four-star reputation.

Best soup I’ve ever had. The homemade soup here is incredible. I had the lentil and my friend had the mushroom and we both took another pot home with us! The breakfast rolls look lovely and the staff are so nice. Thanks and see you again!!

Called in on spec for alight lunch only to be told "it will be at least half an hour because we have a table of 10 and 4 . Really you can't cope with that? In any event all rather dingy and tired like too many of our Scottish Hotels.

Fui aquí con mi amiga y mi hija. Sólo otro cliente (alrededor de las 12 pm del viernes). Sin embargo, la comida era deliciosa y se sirve tostado y rápido servicio amable! ¡Muy impresionado! !
