We popped in to this cafe on our way home from Skye. The lady that served us was really friendly and took the time to talk us through the selection of cakes available. The coffee I had was one of the best I’ve had whilst in the UK, and the cake was delicious.

Had a lovely soup with a bread to die for by the wood burner. Great set up for sunny days and cold wet days like today.

Popped in for a drink and a quick snack when passing. Reasonable prices for drinks and snacks. Not a huge selection but cakes we had were nice. Cafe area is a bit squeezed in with shop items but okay for a tea and cake type stop. Saved the day and hit the spot.

Nous nous sommes arrêtés pendant notre trajet retour vers le Sud, c'est un snack, type cafétariat. Nous nous sommes limités au café, acceptable, et aux toilettes, très sales.

Stopped here for first time a week ago. Very busy find in the middle of almost nowhere. Made to feel very welcome by owner and staff. Food perhaps little pricey but given situation and selection of soup, sandwiches and cake available we had no quibble. The added attraction of gifts and clothing was very welcome and we did not miss out.

Our friends had been in the day before and highly recommended the coffee, cakes and unexpected shopping experience. The food was exceptional, a real choice of savoury and sweet and very delicious with friendly and pleasant service. The shop is a real find: full of lovely clothes, jewellry and cards. We ended up buying a number of items and will pop in again on our way up North. It was sunny and warm and there are also tables outside.

My husband and I always stop in here en route to Skye .The cafe has been relocated to what was at one time a sort of overflow shop . On the plus side the views were lovely while having our coffee and less than fresh fruit scone . The whole room was a shambles . Ironing board up , cardboard boxes full of coat hangers , shelves beneath the food counter full of junk . Perhaps the owner was just setting up for the season but we left thinking this maybe our last visit .

We stopped here for a coffee on our way back from Skye and it was fab. Lovely service, great cakes and coffees and a real treasure trove of gifts for sale. Really nice shop and coffee shop.

It was a cold and frosty day when we arrived here, and I think we were the first people of the day, but got a nice friendly welcome with warmed up Scones - the cheese scone was the cheesiest I have ever tasted - yummy and the coffee was delicious too, plus very nice quality goods for sale.

Called in for coffee. On the road out of Dalwhinnie towards Skye. A nice Steading conversion, this place gets a lot of it right. However it's overpriced £2.80 for a cappuccino is too much. The scones were stale, not fresh. £11 for two coffees and scones- too much.

We popped in to Coffee, Cakes, Clothing and Other Yummy Things, which is on the main A889 road at Dalwhinnie, for morning tea. They had an incurable selection of yummy cakes and scones. The cafe also sells a huge range of arts and crafts. Definitely worth a look.

'The cheese cones came right out of the oven, they don't get any better than that,' we heared when we entered. The cakes are delicious, the service is super friendly, the setting really cute. Yummy things indeed.

Lovely setting, great food and friendly staff - shame about the graceless proprietor. Her rudeness embarrassed her staff and spoiled an otherwise pleasant visit.

Pulled off the A9 looking for this place, searched for it in Dalwhinnie and was nowhere to be found. We asked a few people and we were then told that it was situated in Laggan, which is 7 miles away!! Which is very misleading

We almost missed this lovely little stop on our way from the Isle of Skye to Edinburgh, but it was the perfect place at the right time for beautiful hot soup, excellent coffee, and delicious cake. The open room with views and the warm ambient atmosphere made for a very pleasant light lunch.

We have been going to this place every year on our way home from Skye. Really lovely food - home baking is a treat - but the poor staff are always getting a public dressing down from the owner every time we drop in. Quite embarrassing for them and for the customers who have to witness it all. Obviously a high staff turnover, and easy to see why.

choice of several entrees and starters but mass produced food which lacked flavor. fish was boiled not steamed.

No food on offer other than crisps, ice cream and a meagre offering of cake, shocked as we were there for a 1pm show and had travelled over an hour thinking we would be fine for lunch at the theatre. Staff were fine, no hint of getting things done in a timely fashion and not much interaction with customers. Decor is depressing, such a big space makes it cold and echoey. Just no atmosphere whatsoever. Very disappointed and won't be back.

We all had Sunday lunch (£22), service was good and waitress was friendly. However the Roast dinner was lukewarm, the beef was far from tender and the Yorkshire pud was clearly reheated and very greasy. The bar wasn’t able to provide many of the beers/lagers on tap. Altogether a very disappointing visit. We were here last year and I still remember The Venison I had. Clearly new management/chef. Definitely give it a miss.

A lovely restaurant with nice food and lovely helpful staff. A spacious restaurant with great views. On offer was fish and chips, macaroni cheese, steak and mushroom pie, beef and haggis olives.

Avoid this place . Poorly cooked frozen fish and staff who see you as sn inconvenience. They add a 10% service charge and offer rubbish service.
