The King's Highway in Highland

I went to king highway today for a half pint of cider and it was amazing and cheap as well and the service was amazing and quick

Tables were filthy, staff dropping food of and not picking up the dirty dishes/glasses, that had been left by last custoners obviously never trained or just no common sense. Eventually a guy came and cleared the 5-10 absolutely filthy tables. Never saw a cleaning cloth or spray. Food as usual was OK. Drink was cheap. Worst service ever. But sadly for the price you have to make do with crap service. Never stayed at this hotel this visit. Last visit receptionist couldn't lift her head from laptop, to say hello, training dego needed or maybe new staff that know the customer pays their wages.

Happy with my stay, to be honest It exceeded my expectations, for the price I paid. Visited many pubs from the chain but that's my first Wetherspoon hotel and won't be the last.

It's nice longer worth visiting. Better pub 20yrs back. No Haggis, neeps n tatties, yet haggis on burgers, sandwich, plus. No local Ale, beers from England 🤦🏻‍♂️. Essentially we are happy to pay more for better pubs.

Spoons, what you expect, reasonable priced drinks.. used the app to buy drinks, which is my preferred option rather than queuing.

Stopped for breakfast, quite a few tables were closed off but the restaurant was clean and tidy. Toilets were also very clean. Food was nice and was ready quickly.

Good place for a drink and food

Ummm genuinely the cheapest prices I think I’ve found in the whole of the UK. Food was worth what you pay but would absolutely return. Sincerely, a very broke and very thankful backpacker <3

Improved significantly since my last visit. Staff actually friendly and efficient this time. Fast service, very spacious.

A quiet place to talk at the table and over coffee or even something much stronger, and they will also serve breakfast or lunch

Excellent Spoons pub. As an English person i found the Scottish Licensing Laws ridiculous. Manageress Amber was very helpful chatty and friendly. Best of our 4 spoons while in Scotland.

Beautiful curry and amazing Scottish

This hotel is passable , unpleasant receptionist, rude manager, my room was in the very back of the hotel and a fan from either their kitchen or a neighbouring building kept us up all night - called night porter and he tried to downplay the noise but gave us another room after i told him to hear it for himself. Manager stated there was no noise.... I told her the night porter wouldn't have switched rooms if there wasn't any noise as he came up to the room to check himself. Avoid this hotel/restaurant, building looks nice from the outside but has no original chatter/features on the inside as it's all modernized.

Food and a pint was easy to order on the app and service was really fast. No nonsense and decent food for the price. Hard to fault.

Great wee spoons right in the middle of town, plus one of the cheapest in the UK. You can forgive the lack of music for the great, quick, friendly service every time you're in there.

Like all Wetherspoons, very well located, with a very complete menu and unbeatable prices.

It was an average weatherspoons experience. Went for breakfast. Cheap and cheerful. The place was a bit dark and dingy. The food was nice. There were a couple of gluten free options.

So I order a pitcher of venom to my table I drink half and see the other has lipstick on it around the spout (I am a man) I had been drinking it out the pitcher realised and complained to be told I can only have a half pitcher because of this to which I seen them poor the same drink into a new pitcher 🤷‍♂️ least to say not happy

It’s a Wetherspoons, need I say more?

Congratulations to the spoon for reintroducing a Scottish version of Fawlty Towers so many years on . Basil would be so proud. The female receptionist played by an elderly Karen did an amazing job of showing no regard for her customer whatsoever either ignoring questions or interactions from the guest and delivering rote a version of the house rules so quickly that not even a speed dialling Scot wouldn’t understand. In her defence, she had been in hospital having what her surgeon described as a highly successful triple charisma bypass. Her personality had been completely removed surgically. Kings highway. Get someone who wants to do the job. At $625 for a shoebox for two nights, I think you can afford to. Three times our key to get into this fortress didn’t work. One towel between two people day 2 is a great new cost saving feature and a bed for two is really a bed for one and a half. We live. We learn and we don’t make the same mistake to book an over priced dormitory ever again.

The restaurant is all you need in Inverness

Lovely restaurant whrte we ordered chips but curry separately, it all came as one it swapped swiftly by the team, have been ba k fir breakfast, lunch and dinner Really fast service my stutter doesn't slow them down, great place to eat and drink anytime of the day Will be back!!

Popped in for a quick drink while visiting Inverness for the day. Drinks, great selection but have steadily increased in price over the last year, but still probably the cheapest in town. Food, great selection and some specials too, most meals include a drink too. We opted the the special - Korean Chicken Bowl, it was very tasty but what a portion, we could have easily shared one between us. Always busy with a mix of people.

Typical Wetherspoons, good value, good service, great location and lively atmosphere.

Best place to hangout with friends

Had breakfast here. Was really good and enjoyed it. Would definitely go back. Staff were helpful and friendly. Location was great and easy to find.

Excellent value for money, good selection of basic 'pub grub'

Awful. Spend half an hour waiting for chios that never arrived to the amusement of the staff. Shocking service and completely clueless staff. Wouldn't go again in there!

We were at the pub/restaurant for Fish and chips. Prices are rather low and the food is good. Service ok.

Miserable receptionist on arrival, very stained carpet in room 303, however, very clean, comfortable bed, nice towels and shower. Lots of free tea and coffee.

Cold food, grubby tables, disappointing really

I love this restaurant chain, delivering throughout Scotland with different themes. Very good food and good price.

Economically priced, certainly an older hotel redone. Very heavy and frequent fire doors. The restaurant/ bar at the main level have a party casino vibe ( not in a luxury way). Couldn't order in the restaurant because our wifi was sketchy, and you can only order via the app.

Fish and chips and mushy peas . Not the greatest soggy chips and runny peas . A school dinner lady would have done better . Atmosphere I counted at least four sleeping at tables and this was only 12 . Would recommend

I went for a big Scottish breakfast with Haggis. I received the breakfast in good time (within 10 mins) I didn't receive the haggis that I ordered. Apart from the previous comment, everything else was fine but it was a bit quiet first thing in the morning.

made up our mind to stay here during lunch in old town. we where very happy with our stay, the pub downstairs is fine too, price value excellent, we would stay here again.

Great meeting place with good ales and good food.

My first stay at a Wetherspoon's hotel and it was very positive. Think a slightly 'posher' Premier Inn and you're about there. Immaculately clean room, lovely bed and all the usual facilities including tea/coffee and snacks. Would definitely recommend.

We have already visited a few and eaten there. Today we were turned away from the restaurant because we had a dog with us, I'm very disappointed. 9am Thursday the 23rd of may and there a bunch of "customers" standing at the front door openly stinking the place up smoking cannabis. What a great look for the place.

Please buy a new toaster (your toasts are all burnt), otherwise solid 4 stars, very friendly staff.

We went there for breakfast, and the large Scottish filled me up until tea time. My wife had a small American meal, endless coffee, and tea. Brilliant

Owned by an odious toad. I rarely visit as I loath giving him my money. However, as illustrated in the photo, you can discreetly dispose of men there. The staff are fine folks too.

Weatherspoons is always good place to eat drink.

Hotel, breakfast, lunch, dinner and pub all in one. The special thing is the discount prices for drinks.

Appalling customer service at this place. A mistake was made by the staff when we ordered and my son received rice instead of chips. I asked if he could have chips as that’s what we ordered and Savannah told us he ordered rice not chips and walked off. I then went to the bar to ask for chips whereby Savannah tried to cover up her mistake again by lying and tried to blame me for ordering rice instead of chips! Who orders rice with chicken wings?! The manager was useless and tried to defend her by saying it was just a mistake. He missed the point entirely. You do not lie and blame the customer for your incompetence. You rectify the mistake. We will not return as we were treated so badly. This place has really gone down hill due to the ignorance of the staff.

Decent Spoons in the centre of town

Excellent service, very fast bringing drinks. We played the wetherspoons app game and it was such a fun night.

Sat in for dinner. Ordering was super easy using the QR code on the menu, drinks were delivered within a couple minutes and food followed not long after. Food was great, and good price. Roughly £14 for a large mixed grill and pint of Pepsi max. No complaints.

Typical wetherspoons pub. Like all of them food and drink not the greatest you'll ever get but like all of them value for money. Does what it says on the can.

Went hear for dinner with family, the first bar staff was rude because he had to walk back to the same fridge to get my drink, that he forgot about. Got my meal and paid for it, then an hour later sitting waiting for a chicken and they forgot to put it through the till so my daughter went without her dinner. I complained and the bar staff was arguing and they says its not theyre problem. Then expected us to wait an extra half hour so they could cook. We were already finished ours. The atmosphere is not very good as all the staff dont look happy to even be there. Also the duty manager was the only one really doing his job. I think all the staff in the pub/eating part need retraining on customer service

Busy Wetherspoons that does a really good Wethers experience. Good choice of beer, fast service via the app and a great value breakfast. Visited here 4 times during our long weekend break.

Great location close to parking as despite what it says when booking there is no carpark reported this to reception and they advised they would correct, easy access to food with the restaurant/bar below

As usual, loved the place and usual Wetherspoons menu. Nice atmosphere and quick to order. You may park in the two blocks away car park.

Went for a meal as I had good memories of having eaten here before. Items no longer available from the menu. Lighting was poor. Staff did not thank us or wish us a good night as they passed us leaving. No music, one screen in view.

My wife and I had a lovely early dinner at the Kings Highway. I know it can be hit and miss sometimes but on this occasion my bean salad, with an helping of chicken breast was utterly delicious. My wife had loaded chips and she loved her meal too. The staff were all great, nice and polite

Popped in in between buses for a coffee first thing in the morning. No dogs, even in the beer garden. Absolutely ridiculous and wrong. Rude, unhelpful antidog staff. Was going to order breakfast as well. Didn't. Train your staff better. Most other pubs in Inverness allow dogs no problem.

Haven't rated rooms as u didn't stay but did have food, good service at the bar by friendly staff, ordered food on the app which works really well, the food was good and plenty of it, tables cleaned promptly after people leaving so other guests could get a table promptly well done too all staff.

Came here on the Saturday night, was busy but not rammed. Service was fairly quick and food was decent enough albeit prices have risen. It's what you expect, would go again.

Let's face it. It's wetherspoons. You get cheap drink and good value food without having to be deafened by canned music. The lack of ambience and incompetent staff are just inconveniences that have to be endured.
