Beautiful location and decor. Food looks delicious. But, really really wish the cooked breakfasts were better; under-cooked for both of us on two occasions now (and somewhat slapped on the plate) so we will not order this again. While appreciating the aspirational up-market vibe and hoping it gets there, under-cooked breakfasts aside, the prices are way too high for the current offering. Reducing the cost of filled rolls would be a start. 2 stars for the food, 3 stars for the aesthetics, 1 star for the overall pricing.

Very rude staff. Such a shame, New Year’s Day and we thought we’d support the venue as they’d made an attempt to be open when so many places were closed. Wish I hadn’t wasted £17 on 4 very mediocre hot drinks. As we walked in at 2pm we were told only cakes and coffee were being served even though table next to us were being served a full toastie meal. We accepted this but were then served our drinks with no conversation or smile and when we paid we were not even spoken to let alone a thank you or goodbye. Would never visit again, why should we???

Popped in for an evening meal. 2 x very tasty burgers and some good beer later we left very happy. It isn't the grandest of places, but it does deliver good food at a fair price. Would definitely return if we were staying longer.

Afternoon tea was very nice, the only thing I can say was a problem was trying to find someone when we arrived, it took 10-15 mins to locate someone. We had a very pleasant afternoon and the food was lovely and plentiful. We would happily go back again. Perhaps you need to upgrade your disabled ramp.

Do not make any requests, or you will be met with an intimidating stare and a passive/aggressive response. It made our stay quite difficult, but we stuck it out as it was peak season at the time. Also, our room more suited to a single bed category - with a double bed squeezed into it, there was barely enough room to move along one side of the bed and around the end of the bed, as it was so close to the wall on two sides. There are plenty of other good B&B's in the area who will be glad to welcome you.

We were on a trip to Edinburgh to meet family for The Fringe. We had some time to spare and had been driving all night from Banbury, and came across this place. We got here around 7.50am and two lovely ladies were more than happy to accomdate us for a lovely piping hot breafast. Great portions, brilliant service, and extremely friendly. Defiantly recommend for a nice quiet, hot, friendly breakfast!!!!

Great service with a decent range of drinks. Perfect for a pre-cinema treat or if you mention you’re about to see a film, they’ll put your drink in a plastic cup so you can enjoy it in the theatre. They also allow laptops until 7pm so it’s a great spot to sit and work during the daytime.

Delightful cafe, inside, outside seating(grand views), plenty of variety cakes, coffees and cream teas. Very friendly and efficient service.

Stumbled upon this farm shop and cafe while looking for a late lunch. Lovely menu with sandwiches, soup, jacket potatoes etc. All food freshly made. We had ham sandwiches and a slice of cake, all of which were tasty. We ordered a child meal for our 21 month old son which consisted of a sandwich, few quavers, grapes and cucumber slices and a small chocolate bar (that they gave us after he ate his main meal, which was handy!). There is a big play area for children with lots of toys. The farm shop was well stocked and seemed to have a steady trade. On the way out the lady at the till said we could take some cabbage leaves to feed the cows with, which I’m sure was the highlight for my son (and hubby hehe)!
