Stayed for one night before catching the tram to airport next morning. The only thing good about this hotel was the location to the tram (less than 5 mins away) First off hotel is difficult to locate even with the GPS. Took us down Station PK which has a gate access that closes after 6pm. Due to lack of availability of seats for a group of 5, we went to the KFC located nearby. On our return to the hotel, the GPS took us back on Station PK and we couldn't get in passed the gate. The operator on the call box denied us entry even the ONLY business on that particular road was our hotel. We ended up parking our car at the retail center about 8 min walk from the hotel to bring our food back to the room. Thankful the parking at the retail center was just temporary because after dinner we took car back to the airport. Would have been nice if the front desk agent had inform us of that when we checked. Oh wait, she was down right rude to us. It was like we were bothering her when we had trouble with at the self service check in. Definitely didn't give us a good impression of the hotel. The reason why we went out to KFC was due late availability at the hotel restaurant. First available table for 5 was at 8pm and we inquired at 545 and i didn't see any seated and the hostess seating chart was nearly empty. Rooms ok. Didn't know your key card had to be used to get power in the room. Another thing the front desk clerk should have told us. Took forever for the room AC to get the room cool. If I ever travel overseas again I definitely won't be staying at a Premier Inn.

Does seem a little stuck out in the middle of nowhere, but I quite liked that, as it was nice and quiet without traffic noise. There was a notice in reception when booking in that there was currently no WiFi, due to ongoing problems. That was quite annoying, as my husband was there for work, so it meant him having to use his mobile data for work calls etc. Surely for anyone booked in, an email should have been sent out, informing them that the WiFi was down.

Visited In August 2023. It was a Clean hotel, friendly reception staff, and a nice quiet area. Next to the tram Station, easy access to the motorway. And a bonus is having a costa on site of the Premier Inn definitely visit again to visit Edinburgh. Visited Again in March 2024, This hotel kept the high standards with very clean rooms and an amazing breakfast both days, this hotel had the frendliest staff in any hotel I visited too. This is the best premier inn I have ever visited!

The hotel is very well located - literally just over the road from the train station and tram stops with a retail park beyond that where you can pick up groceries etc. The rooms were maintained and cleaned to a good standard. The breakfast however wasn’t great - £11.99 and most of it is cold (even though it’s supposed to be hot) - staff were also rather aloof and disinterested - not strictly rude but at the same time not overly welcoming. I’d stay there again though but probably go into the city to get a better breakfast!

This hotel is a great location for the airport or Edinburgh centre, has station just across the road for tram, train and buses which are passing often. The hotel is nice and quiet, with no traffic noise while we stayed. The restaurant/bar / breakfast area was nice, bright, and clean. Good food and drink. Staff were spot on for any enquiries or problems. Rooms were spacious and clean with aircon. We will definitely use this hotel again when visiting edingburgh.

Rooms are shabby but clean, strong drain smell in the room, but reception dealt with this quickly. Very noisy, I think the people above our rooms were practising for the marathon. Vending machines chaotic, some prices non existent or fallen off, chocolate or crisps, I can't eat either. soft drink machines not working. No biscuits in the room, needed something to take tablets with. Booked 3 rooms together, each room in seperate floor

Great hotel, great location. Our stay was spoilt slightly from when we arrived and noticed the sign saying the WiFi was down. I had booked a premium plus room to include the extra WiFi benefit. The man on duty at checkin was very quick to tell me that the WiFi was included for free so really I had nothing to complain about as I wasn’t paying for it. I could very easily have got more than annoyed by this idiotic and rather stupid remark but I just jet it go. He did then say that it had been ongoing for several months. I did suggest that maybe they could alert guests to this when booking but he said that was the responsibility of the owners. He never once apologised for the lack of a reliable internet connection. The next day at check out the woman at the front desk asked how was the stay and apologised for the internet and encouraged me to mention it to a wider audience in the hope that something would get done. She had a much better manner. The room was great, cosy, warm and very quiet. The nespresso coffee is very poor quality and in the bathroom there are 3 dispensers, all with body wash, so no handwash, no shampoo, no conditioner and no lotion. A bit odd. The tv is basic terrestrial so no smart tv functions and no casting option. There is a desk level hdmi input which allows for a fire stick or similar to hook up to the tv but without a reliable internet connection… We didn’t eat at the hotel so can’t comment. We’ll probably stay again as it’s perfect for getting into Edinburgh by tram but will check on the internet beforehand.

It's a Premier Inn and so you get the usual attributes as expected. We stayed when going to Knockhill and it was good to be on the outskirts of the city to travel easier. The area is a bit out of the way and you would probably have to travel to get to nightlife bars and restaurants. Philly's was a nearby restaurant but it appears to have closed.

For some reason none of the check-in staff remind you to do it... strange eh? Would have got 5stars if someone had reminded me... This seems to be a common theme for PI when carparking must be registered... the more synical part of me may think its done on purpose....🤔

Monboddo is a good go-to restaurant while staying at the Doubtree Hilton in Edinburgh. Although I would not have chosen to dine there as many times if I weren't a hotel guest. Location and availability were a great convenience while traveling. The breakfast buffet is extensive, offering the main staples of a hearty Scottish breakfast. I highly encourage patrons to order off the special menu for fresh eggs made to order. The extra few minutes are worth the wait. Dinner there on my first night was good, but nothing extraordinary. The service was pleasant and welcoming. The atmosphere and decor are higher end. In minor detail, there is no place to keep your handbag if you are seated in the central dining area other than your lap or the floor. The round back chairs are not accommodating, so ask for a side booth. The side bar area close by is a very nice area to stay if you are waiting for a table. Overall, it was a fine place to dine during my stay in Scotland.
