Subway in Glasgow City

The place is dead, I make my order, ask if I want anything else, to which I reply “a Fanta and a rainbow cookie, please” the member of staff gets the cookie and finishes wrapping my sandwich. I’m left standing and I say you haven’t given me my drink. She checks and then tells me she’s hasn’t charged me for a drink, then proceeds to tell how much a drink is. Now correct me if I am wrong, is the meal deal not a sandwich, a cookie and a drink?? Should she not have double check if wanted a drink?? It wasn’t busy and I spoke clearly, I don’t understand how this happens. This subway has some of the worst customer service. Staff should be trained better than this.

As a serious Subway fan, I have to say that this was the worst experience ever. We had two sandwiches, each of which we took a bite and then threw away. The chicken looked very unappetizing. The sauces were probably the main problem. The sandwiches even stank. The service was unfriendly and the preparation of the sandwiches was not good. They put too much or too little on them. We should have known then. But the desire was far too disgusting. But the disappointment and disgust are even greater.

Ismat's patience and calmness at lunchtime on Christmas day today was very impressive despite the number of people in the shop and very impatient delivery drivers.

I frequent this Subway branch thanks to Ali's outstanding service. His cheerful and helpful nature makes every visit a pleasant experience. Highly recommend this location for great food and even better customer service!

I have never seen such a poor service in any restaurant, Scarf girl doesn’t have any manners to speak with the customers, she is very rude. I don’t think people like her deserve to work in any restaurant. Instead of helping customers she try to scare them. Please take some action against her otherwise her this type of service would effect your business. I hope you would take strict action against her.

Got 6ish steak and cheese and foot long cookie it looked amazing and will be back the staff where nice and friendly and it was quick and easy to get what u want.

Just love the choice, freshness and fresh bread. Always friendly people and great service. Every single place though, very little thought is about the sitting in area... Usually dirty floors and tables and very un-inviting to sit in.

I asked for meal day of the day. Was told on a Saturday it was BMT. It cost full price so I was mis-sold. It took me 10 minutes to understand the complex menu to know I was mis-sold.

Exceptionally great service from Amin and Ali on the night shift. Amazing attitude and I felt very welcomed. The sandwich was banging as well!

I went in and asked for two sandwiches. The lady serving me started asking the usual questions like which bread etc. She did not asked for the size. I noticed she was using the 6 inch bread so I told her that I wanted the foot longs. She seemed annoyed by it for some reason but at this point all she had done was cut the bread in half. She made sure to add "did you not say 6inch?" I had not. I thought granted I had not been specific at the beginning but why the aggressive reaction? She then pursued to speak to me with her not so kind attitude, no eye contact and pretty much get it and over with type. Her colleague comes and takes over for the wrapping and paying same treatment again. The only decent person was the gentleman at end who wrapped my second sandwich. I thought my bad luck was over but NO. When I arrived at home, I noticed that one of the sandwiches was the vegan version. I NEVER asked for vegan version. I really don't know if both ladies were having a bad day and I just so happen to arrive at the wrong time at the wrong place. But if you're reading this please do better. Basic human decency shouldn't be such a big ask. Not to mention some listening skills are to be improved from lady number 1.

No complaints with food but the lady wearing scarf definitely need to learn some manners. She has no idea how to talk to customers

I visited around 2 weeks ago and was served by the lovely Ali. I was having a bad day, it was raining, my suitcase fell in a puddle and I had a long journey back to London still to make. Ali’s customer service skills were fantastic! He really went out of his way to cheer me up, he even gave me an extra cookie for the journey. He was so polite and friendly. I couldn’t decide which sauce I wanted so Ali very kindly said did he would cut and wrap my sub separately so I could choose 2 different sauces. He even offered me assistance with my case down the step at the main door. Thank you Ali! Your kindness meant a lot to me that day.

I asked for a packet of hashbrows me and my friends regularly getting some snacks from the subway but last day one guy with a beard rejected us snacks because he was not happy because we redeem our reward points to get the snacks .

Staff so unfriendly and not interested in helping. Seems like a hassle . Very disappointed and won’t be back .

Came here for a quick dinner and would like to give the staff member that served us Ali a massive shout out. He was beyond warm and friendly and seems like a guy that really loves his job! Not to mention makes a banging sandwich. All the best!!

extremely poor service and the staff who took my order asked me to repeat literally everything i said atleast twice. he seemed like he was elsewhere and i got tired of saying the same thing over and over again. the regular portion of crinkle wedges seemed to be so less and it came out real soggy. also when i asked him about the meal deal he seemed clueless. i was also supposed to also get a sauce with wedges but i wasnt even offered any. this is THE WORST SUBWAY I HAVE BEEN TO

Very positive experience tonight. Staff member was great and handled the order perfectly. He offered all assistance possible and was perfectly friendly. Enjoyed the food and it was exactly what I expected and wanted.

Because I got subway and I taste bad Because she didn't put it the microwave then the boy make it again and it tastes better now.

Absolutely shocking service didn't even bother to wrap the sandwich just tossed on the counter and moved onto the only other customer in the store. Abysmal would give zero stars if possible

Google asked me if this Subway had changed. Nope. There was a dead insect on the table at the window today. The Argyle Street Subway is always under staffed with long queues. The tables are always dirty too. Poor show.

Poor service, I gave the girl with the scarf £10 for a charge of £7.19, the toaster started peeping and she ran to it without giving me the change! Took the sandwich to the vegetables area and served it till sauces and I went out forgetting completely about the change! I came back within 20minutes? She wasn’t there I waited 10 minutes until she appeared and No I gave you the money then, She said she put the change on the table and it’s my fault I didn’t take it? I told her when was then? She said I was talking on the phone! Then she said she put the money next to my phone. like jumping from word to word! So ; She did not put any money on the table and if she did she would have tell the customer “ this is your change and your receipt”! Second; she started accusing me that I took the money but I forgot taking it? + yelling at me with loud voice!? Other staff members told her to count the toll money so I agreed and stayed until she counted all the money in the till then she apologised and gave me the change saying ( I will give you the change just because you waited too long until I counted?) instead of apologising for not giving me the change at first or apologise for her attitude with the customer or making me wait all that long. Very bad experience.

Ordered pickup from ubereats, arrived at store who said it was ready only for it to be closed with a huge wooden plank covering the door! No one answering the phone either. 10 minutes of my lunch and my money wasted

The salads here are amazing!! They give really good portions and the staff are really friendly.

I would have given a 5 star but I got got the wrong bread. Other than that I enjoyed it

Ordered onlin : 1 asked for toasted- WASNT. 2 came very late about 25 min 3 I worked in subway too and who ever did it doesn’t know how to it’s fully falling apart - train ur staff better please. Thanks. Terrible honestly it’s a simple task to do lol

Nice food lots of seating, I got the nacho chicken this time l, I usually go for steak and cheese, but it’s still very good, Ali who made my sub is the nicest person ever, he’s so friendly! The store is spacious and clean, will come back again, subway is my go to when I want a nice quick delicious meal 😄

Decent good for a good price as always with Subway. Staff member making sandwich was friendly and helpful, however the same can’t be said for the server at the till. They were very rude and abrupt in their service and definitely made me wish I had just went to another subway nearby.

Food at times is okay, ordering is sometimes okay, quite a bit of time though orders are wrong.

Fast and efficient service. Even remembered my usual order and always delivered with a smile.

Great service from members of staff with good selection of bread and fillings to choose from. Handy shop to stop in for a bite of lunch or dinner. With the shop located in the popular argyle Street for shopping.

This shop doesn't close till 9pm. Entered at 8pm, all seats on tables and no staff on shop floor. When a female member of staff did spear I was told only cold sandwiches and the toaster need to cool. No lettuce, and very little salad for a cold sandwich. Won't be using this branch again.

The service in Subway has gone down so much in the last few years. The sandwiches are still the same, but it seems like you're causing the staff such a hassle ordering food.

Not many people were there at the time and I was served fairly quickly. They seem to need more staff though as some of the tables needed cleaning. This is a very central location and can be heavily trafficked, so should be better staffed. Also not enough seating. No restroom/toilets available for customers.

Shop was dirty. Sandwich was average. Everything is to rushed so you don't have time to select garnishing.

Very small Subway, quite grimy in places and the single bathroom had a door that wouldnt close or lock. Very disappointed.

It was what I expected. It was cold. The door. Did not open and close properly. Staff were OK. Despite Tgere being a queue, the taller of the two staff members obviously prioritised speaking to his mate was more important than doing his job Salad bowl was fresh and good value.

It was a very good place to eat but the last few times I popped in the 6inch seem to be smaller and the filling less as well. However it is a good fast food option to eat no junk.

Essenzialmente sporco, con il soffitto rotto dalla quale pioveva acqua, bagni frequentati da ragazzi che andavano avanti e indietro con bottiglie di vino e liquore. I panini sono fatti sul momento davanti a te, ciò che trovate nei contenitori di plastica può sembrare buono ma sicuramente pesante. Non lo consiglio, a meno che non vogliate un pasto economico e da consumare in fretta. Ci sono altri Subway in cui la qualità è tenuta più in considerazione, oppure provate un altro posto in stile fast food.

very poor service. i asked the price of school sub as i am a pupil at a south side secondary, i was told £2. i ordered my food and cookie to only find out he was wrong and made a mistake after i had thoroughly made sure it was £2. the employee was rude about his mistake and insisted that he said £3 instead of controlling the situation calmly he argued that he was right with multiple people in store. took my drink and cookie and took my money without refund. staff are poorly trained. i have had much fewer jobs and never worked in subway but even i know how to make a sub without messing it up for me and other customers.

Absolutely shocking staff not got a clue what there doing take me 15 minutes and about 4 attempts to place my order then i finally got it to be stuck to the paper had to bin it ...

Got cheese and onion sub of the day and it was so tasty. Generous fillings in sub too.

Really enjoy choosing the various fillings for my sub lunch. Lots to choose from and ample proportions of fillings given. A very enjoyable lunch.

Subway is great for picking up a quick snack,food is good but seating area is joke,chairs squashed together allowing about 10 people to sit,come on subway make room for a bigger seating areas.

Wonderful staff. I've been coming here most weeks since last year and it's a wonderful environment and that's saying something since I'm there before 8 in the morning regularly. The food is the average subway. The same in most subways. One thing I love about the subway is they now offer flavourings for there coffee which is great because I am a avid fan of vanilla in my lattes. Altogether a great place that me and my friends regularly go. One thing that I will definetly recommend is the coffee especially on a freezing morning at 7.30am. Place fully stocked and clean. I'm very happy with the quality of the food and the cleanliness.

Walked in and immediately was greeted with a customer arguing with a girl that worked there.(really bad customer service) I thought it was maybe a difficult customer. It was not. I was served by a male who was ridiculously slow and still managed to get my order wrong. He then asked for £4 and I handed him a 20 and he gave me back £14. I mentioned to him and got no apology instead he responded “gimme that” and took what he gave me back and get me the correct money. The attitude of the staff is shocking!

All subways are the same great food for sensible prices better than McDonald's etc for lunch
