really busy on the saturday evening I was there and quite expensive, wetherspoons used to be great value for money, but not anymore it seems

Food was good, service too. Atmosphere was okay, although could have been better.

Love this place! Spoons was one of the first to do app ordering and they do it the best. Never any mistakes, food comes quickly and they have such lovely staff here. Obviously the toilets are well far away up the stairs but that's the charm of Spoons!

Omg such good value for money Palomas. Could not believe it was only £4.67, so worth every penny

In here late on a Tuesday and the staff behind the bar were in great form keeping us topped up, friendly and welcoming 🍺🍻🍺

Very clean and welcoming. Unfortunately there was an issue in the kitchen. Contractors were working to get it back up & running but I could not try the food there. Would like to go back.

Never again, myself and my husband go to curry club quite often so we decided to go to society rooms on Halloween . We ordered 2 chicken tikka masala when it came the poppadoms were swimming in grease the nan bread was cold and soggy and the rice was cold along with cold curry, I pointed this out to the server and she said I will get you another meal. Same happened again poppadoms swimming in grease, cold rice 🤦 . The person that made this couldn't have been a chef to send food out in this way. If he is a qualified chef he should be ashamed of himself after all he's not making it from scratch they are pre made all he needs to do is heat it up 🤦. PS have your oil hot and you shouldn't get poppadoms swimming in grease, definitely won't be back there for curry night 😡.

Lovely, very large pub in yhe heart of Glasgow

The rudest staff I've ever encountered. One of our party was told they were blocking a walkway just standing talking to someone. Took food away before it was finished. When we tried to complain the manager told us he wasn't going to listen to anything we had to say. Were accosted by 2 rude members of staff as we were leaving and told we were barred. We must've spent around £350 in the place, wouldn't give them another penny. Much better places to be in Glasgow id advised u to go anywhere else

The usual good mix of decent food and well priced drinks including many guest ales. Only thing was on the Saturday evening we visited they cranked the music up and it’s a bit too loud to talk.

It's a weatherspoons so it really isn't anything other than ok but the atmosphere was uncanny.

Always busy so feels like a good atmosphere, good place to meet and catch up in town. Prices are always good as you expect. Food is never amazing but always good for what you pay.

Usual Witherspoon's food and service. Very handy city location.

Member of staff was very rude to my friend and practically threw the food on the table 🙄 Another friend spoke to management about her behaviour,in the wrong job if she doesn't like dealing with the public.⁹ And I shd know as I work with the public also!

Cheap and cheerful! Pub it's self is in a nice building.

Great place. For food drink and service.

They know how to fry a runny egg for their muffins. Sadly a large group of very loud drunk laughing winos (at 11am) ruined any atmosphere in the place. A quiet word from management might have helped..

This is a really nice place located in a nice part of Glasgow.

JD wetherspoon is soo bad that it is not funny anymore. Got a steak (the upgraded one - do not remember the same)- 15 or 16 pounds. Small, overcooked, about half of it could be eaten, the rest was fatty parts and chewables. No more JDW attempts from now on, it is just too bad.

Great large space if you've got a large party. Cheap drink, great service. Grab a table if your stating as they go quick.

The lighting and music become club-like on a Saturday night I was there, good upbeat pop remixes and area to dance. It does get busy and tables might be limited, but lots of space to stand.

Just a word of caution when choosing the shawarma, as tasty as it was...it's spicy, like, very spicy! I had to more or less down a soda water to help my mouth out! It was nice though.🙂👍🏻

Great pub with good accessibility

Never given a spoons such a good review before, but this one in Glasgow is amazing. We had 4 hours to kill while waiting for a coach & we decided to get a bite to eat & take advantage of the bottomless hot drinks. Its quite a swanky place, & unlike other spoons i have been in the clientele are very presentable, I'm no snob, I dont mind the odd drunk (have been the odd drunk on occasions) but some spoons seem like a hub for incoherently drunken chancers. This is a nice setting on West George Street, bar staff are chatty & pleasant without being imposing. Will definitely drop in again next time I'm in Glasgow.

Not your usual Wetherspoons-type conversion of a fine old building but a modern 'space filler' building in an otherwise very pleasant late Georgian/early Victorian street close to the city centre and not far from the Central Station. Clearly i was disappointed with the ambiance of the place but daresay it may have been due to its layout, looking more like a large eating house! I clearly am not a fan! I do have to sat the service and effort of the staff was of the usual high standard but there was for me little atmosphere. Perhaps my two visits there (once around lunchtime on a Monday (June 2023l), and again in the early evening on Tuesday 23 July 2024) so i may have missed something its regular patrons get!

I'm a big fan of wetherspoons but this is one of the worst. I ordered a gourmet steak and half of it was fat and gristle. The onion rings were 3 tiny ones and I got one small mushroom and half a dozen fries. Avoid this at all costs. When I complained to the manager he said there's nothing I can do. What a terrible attitude. I'd give it no stars if it were possible

I come here quite often with my Mum & Sister. I suffer from Severe Vasovagal & passed out at the table. The Manager & Staff were amazing! Thank you all so much! Sandra Debernardi

We visited this pub/restaurant with family and the staff were helpful with supplying a high chair and colouring sheets with games for the kids, as well as kids' menus. Service was prompt and the food was good. Great prices as usual from Weatherspoons.

Very busy staff were great tables cleaned promptly. Toilets were nice. Better than most Spoons I have been in in Largs, Irvine and Glasgow city centre.

Really nice place. Great food, and I really liked that you get a lot for very cheap. I recommend hot drinks with free refills.

Drinks were great, this Irish waitress came over and gave us a corona and a blue lagoon. We drank them after 10 mins of them being there and as soon as we’d finished she hounded us to pay for them as “they got sent to wrong table” even though it was completely her fault. Asked for manager and assuming he just laughed at her considering we never saw this “manager”. Absolute joke considering it’s fault of the staff.

Barmaid working the early shift on 11/06/2024 had some attitude on her. Chef mike over cooked the breakfast(who microwaves bacon). Draft drink was disgusting and when I went back up to say I got nothing but cheek. Avoid if possible

Breakfast was just the right size, and the refillable tea option is perfect for the morning after a night out!

Gave this 5 as the staff are excellent .Quick service we trained ..Although very busy the atmosphere was pleasant and not too noisy.Best wetherspoonns Glasgow that i have found .

Not enough choice of Gluten Free food, what they did have was a disgrace, plenty of choice if you are Vegan or but not if your Ceoiliac, would not recommend it.

Haven't visited here in years. Hasn't changed at all. Waited several minutes to be served, guy serving was polite enough. Prices were ok and it was a weekend afternoon so atmosphere was OK. Never tried the food so can't comment on that.

A quieter branch of Spoons, where you can talk or just think without needing sign language or texting each other, my hearing is not so good in a crowded environment these days

Good old spoons, never expect much, but I get good price and get what I expect

We have been here several times now, the staff are very efficient and friendly, tables cleared quickly and we're sitting having our breakfast (the miners Benedict is amazing by the way) watching the cleaners hard at work washing doors, cleaning pictures and ledges etc. The place is spotless - much better than our local Wetherspoons in Dundee. We always come here when we visit Glasgow and we highly recommend it

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!! We had a few pints and they were delicious. Many varieties of beers, their menu is quite extensive. The staff was very friendly and helpful, and the atmosphere was exceptional, super calm and peaceful.

Nice and quiet when I went on a Monday evening. Food came in decent time and couldn’t complain. Perfect if you wanted a quieter drink.

Worse Wetherspoon in the UK… if you see a sweaty man (nose dripping with sweat) steeling beer with a red tie it’s probably the horrible manager

Had a lovely lunch today with my mum. Ordered on the app, served quickly. Chloe brought our order over, she was very pleasant and made sure everything was okay for us. I think she should definitely get some recognition, so we'll done Chloe for your amazing service!

My friend and I go into the The Society room for lunch every week and have done so for a long time . It never ceases to amaze us the super efficiency of a partiticular member of the staff . He is pleasant , patient, very helpful , always carries our drinks to the table. We are in our eighties and we are becoming quite slow , therefore we appreciate the extra help which he always gives us . His name is BULENT MOLA , WHAT AN ASSET HE IS TO WEATHERSPOONS,!!!

In for drinks with a load of mates at a retirement do type thing, had food, by god the food was awful.. drink made up for it...

Popped in for a quick refreshment and a snack in between shopping on a drizzly day in Glasgow. Had a glass of wine & a Guinness whilst sharing a chicken basket. Cooked well , tasted great and service throughout was good

Good to go back & nice new bar layout. Still plays music though: couldn’t hear most of the chat at our table! Not what I expect from a ‘Spoons pub!

I am not in favour of wethespoons pubs in general. This one was modern, Clean and well laid out. Service was good. Pub 80% full.

Proper Wetherspoons, not too busy like the counting house.

Didn't eat here but others did. Had a good atmosphere and was mobbed but was a Saturday and Easter weekend. Would definitely return and recommend.

Great staff and good Friday night atmosphere with customers ranging from 18yrs to 70Yrs+ - suitable for everyone!! Cheap drinks and speedy service. Excellent door staff - specifically the lovely female who had the exact professionalism and friendliness required to make guests comfortable, safe and secure. Well done!!

Spacious and a lovely ambience. In the afternoon there is an older clientele who are very well behaved!

Music gets cranked up at 9pm so forget having a conversation after that.

Went for breakfast. Slightly more limited menu than some Wetherspoons (eg no American breakfast) but as ever, good service, good value, friendly (and for a Saturday morning, quiet with plenty of tables-all good)
