Hosted by The Locker room -namely Rosie - this was a really fun evening marking the first pub quiz here. Great atmosphere. Rosie was an excellent host. Looking forward to the next!

Really good Sunday carvery, plentiful and tasty. Value for money, will definitely return.

1st visit, certainly not the last. Good homemade food and good portions

Played a round on the nine hole course while in holiday up near Inverness, wonderful course, very friendly and welcoming staff there, came back a few days later to watch a game of football in the sports bar, had a great time, can thoroughly recommend it.

We visited this bar and restaurant whilst staying at the Travel Lodge which was within walking distance. First night we enjoyed a really good Pizza in the bar. The staff were friendly and welcoming. Second night we went into the restaurant. Staff were attentive, friendly even to the point of making sure I had a really nice glass for my wine. The menu had a good selection of food which was really good and so we decided to go back on the third night as there was something else I wanted to try! Unfortunately we didn’t book and was told by Simon the manager that they were fully booked, however he said he would try to accommodate us and he managed to squeeze us in still ensuring we were happy and didn’t feel rushed. I would have no hesitation in recommending this restaurant and bar.

We were a party of 20. The food and service was fantastic, all pre ordered meals came up on time plus good quality carvery. Well done the team.

Excellent food, generous portion sizes, good service. Really goid Sunday lunch with a great choice of desserts to complete the meal There is outdoor seating. Level access for wheelchairs.

Can't find anything to fault whatsoever, staff were amazing, pricing is good and good is superb, we have been here three times this month and each time it has been amazing on every eay

Went there with two friends last week, it has changed quite a bit, they used to.have menus on the table, we had to ask we felt everything was a effort to the waitress the food its self was good but she was very off putting the other girls that she passed us over to were fine, then when we wanted to pay it was another job trying to get her attention I don't think we will be back.

Fantastic atmosphere, very friendly and helpful staff. Food was amazing, I've had fish and chips and was sooooo good! Recomend and will be back! Thank you!

The restaurant is a hidden gem. The food is great and the portions are plentiful. The deserts are awesome and I recommend planning your food order to allow for dessert or just order the dessert first. The waitresses are nice and the manager is friendly and is not hidden in the back, he is helping wherever needed and very nice. We will definitely be back.

Away with work and came here 2 nights in a row after trying it the first time round. Food was absolutely excellent and the service was second to none. Simon the manager couldn’t have been more accommodating. Great place for dinner and wouldn’t hesitate to come back next time round.

Dropped in here for the first time and was pleasantly surprised, staff very pleasant and welcoming, our waitress Holly was very helpful and cheery. Starters of prawn cocktail and soup were lovely and mains of salmon and chillie also tasty and the salmon tasted nice and fresh and perfectly cooked. Overall value for money in a nice open restaurant and would recommend.

Got a great Sunday lunch plenty on offer the only fault the plates were small more a supper plate than a dinner plate not that we needed more food there was more than enough just the plates need updating would recommend for Sunday lunch x

We came in to eat after a recommendation from our B&B host. Not much to look at from the outside but very friendly and seemingly run by capable young women. I had a prawn cocktail, old school yummy. Then a smoked salmon chowder which I found a bit rich and one flavour, a nice flavour but a whole bowl!? 3 small potato's didn't help to break it up, a small starter bowl would have been more sensible on my part, although that wasn't on offer and the mains option was. My partner skipped starter and went into mains with a steak and kidney pie, not a pie as it was a puff pastry top and no sides, but not my meal and he enjoyed it. He then had profiteroles, proper old school, which were great. A cider and beer helped everything along. The staff were brilliant and couldn't do enough for us, so that made the evening pleasant.

Very disappointed with our last visit to Fairways Restaurant. The manager was aloof and chucked the menu at our table.

Didn't have a booking but they managed to fit 4 of us in. Glad they did excellent value for money. We ha 2 steak pie meals the gammon and the chicken. All meals cooked to perfection and worked out at about £15 each. Would highly recommend and advise to book as it is busy, which says how good it is.

Golf testing fields also for beginners. You can hire clubs and get 96 balls for £12.50. fun and harder than expected.

Was here yesterday. Booked a table in advance. Good choice of food on the menu. Service was fine though some staff were quite dour looking - younger generation. Could look more professional and presentable if I'm honest.

Very poor service. Staff pointed out a table for us, then just plonked the cutlery and napkins and menus on the table. Left us for a good 20 minutes before someone else came out took our order. Food was OK, but chicken was soggy instead of crisp. Wouldn't eat there again!!

We had a lovely time at Fairways! We went for dinner with 17 friends. We preordered food and the service was super efficient! The food was delicious and the dessert selection was great! All the staff were really friendly, helpful and kind. It was a great night- thanks!

The food, unfortunately has gone downhill. My steak pie and vegetables were just warm and I thought the pastry was undercooked. My companion asked for tartare sauce but it never came. I saw two steak pies going back to the kitchen when we were leaving. Such a shame because it's a lovely venue and great for a quick bite or for large groups but I won't be rushing back.

Out for lunch on a wet Friday why not great menu choices I went for chicken kebab it came with chips , salad & coleslaw very tasty and large portions I liked the look of everyone’s lunch 😃 definitely be back as service very good also 👍

Lovely place for a Sunday carvery, plenty of choice. Meat was cooked to perfection and so tender. Very accommodating as we didn't have a reservation, the staff went out of their way to get us a table.

Great food, lovely staff with a warm welcome

Place was OK. The menu is very veggie unfriendly. 5 toasties on the menu and all of them have meat. Ordered nachos as its (V) and they added meat I didn't ask for. They think my son did ask, he said he didn't but either way I would have liked at least some options and alternatives... Staff were helpful though.

I ordered a steak.. it was very bad.. I requested to switch to something else.. and they said that the chef tasted and there is nothing wrong with the steak 😡

Amazing service, can’t fault it. Very noisy to sit in and eat and the view out the window isn’t great. Stairs need painted and fixed. And view sorted. Food is better than most places in Inverness but very pricey.

I'm staying in Inverness for work and visited here for dinner with my colleagues. The roast beef dinner (and Yorkshire puddings!) was really tasty and the staff were friendly and did an excellent job. Very happy I chose to eat here and thanks again.

Lovely meal at Fairways Restaurant, but the best thing was the incredibly helpful and friendly waiting staff. Our server Mia went over and above for all of us, the little extras and changes we asked for were no problem and it really made our dining experience. Her colleagues (whose names I don't know unfortunately) were also super friendly. Thank you to all!X

Good menu, good service, good parking, good prices. What more can i say? A firm favourite and a great place to eat on any occasion.

visiting scotland and after driving alot the days prior we decided to take it easy and have a few drinks and food at the driving range. chap that we paid for golf balls from was lovely. once on the range there was a QR code to order directly to the bay we was in.

5 stars only for the Golf driving range, we did not try the restaurant. We wanted to do a little practice, the person at reception was lovely and explained everything to us. We collected our clubs, our balls and started the driving range. There was a screen with the possibility of choosing games to challenge yourself. Very good time, thank you!

Nice enough environment to dine. My father enjoyed his Smoked Haddock Chowder. I had to prompt for the potatoes which came with main, no biggie, easily done. We were asked how our meal was after finishing. I didnt have the heart to respond. Unfortunately the 'Olive oil' for the potatoes was not 'olive oil'. I did enjoy the salmon however. The stake was well cooked but very fatty and small in size. The whisky sauce that came with it didn't taste like any whisky sauce I've ever had before and looked more similar to a gravy. Unfortunately, even the fries disappointed as they had a strong oily taste. The Aperol Spritz wasn't an Aperol Spritz. I believe it was just Aperol and soda water. We had Been asked if we wanted to order anything else which my wife replied 'no thanks'. However, whilst we were finishing our drinks we decided that we would like to order desserts. No sooner than having changed our mind, we were presented with our bill without requesting it and had to prompt the waitress to come and collect, after waiting for quite some time. With this we decided to just pay and leave.

Have had better meals here. Place was very busy, but my meal arrived cold, others at my table were ok. Very long wait to be offered a dessert. Could have given up and called it quits at that. No-one came anywhere near us to ask if our meal was ok. I didn't want to make a fuss, or wait another long time for a replacement. It will be a while before I go again

Would never go back . Asked for roast of the day with gravy on the side and dish arrived covered in gravy. The waitress took it back and the chef transferred the gravy sodden food onto a clean plate with a jug of gravy on the side. Working in the catering industry I would never have treated a customer like that no matter how long they would have had to wait for another fresh meal to be made. I was offered something else but by this stage my appetite was spoiled. Other meals served to my family were dry (other roast dinners and lasagne).

Good choice of options on the menu, something for everyone's taste. Would recommend the mac cheese, big portion piping hot, served with a side salad. Fish & Chips served with Peas went down a treat with my husband, the fish was the full length of the plate. Reasonable priced. Will definitely be back and would recommend to family & friends

Was there for lunch today - I had the haggis and cheese toastie followed by the banoffee pie 😋 I should've taken photos but couldn't wait to tuck in - I hadn't been here for years but will definitely be going back sooner next time 👍

We've been here a few times because it's close to my brother-in-law's house. It's nice and bright, which is good for people with disabilities, there's a huge mix of people - from young families, lads having a night out (they aren't riotous) and those in their 60's and 70's like us! What prompted me to write this review is that we were here last week and a couple of us a couple of us had the 'mac & cheese' and it was excellent. My wife makes a really good mac & cheese but this one was better ..and even she said so, so I'm not risking a divorce by saying this! The staff are lovely and the service is good. The food is unpretentious and good value.

Great feed on a Wednesday night, reasonable price, all together no Issues would there again if I was ever in Inverness again.

Visited Saturday 24th February, 24, Food was very well presented and tasted lovely. Interaction between staff and the customer were first class. There was a sporting event on in the next bar which is separate to the restaurant, this works well as this didn't interfere with my overall experience. Overall it was a satisfying visit and we plan to go again.

Very pleasant lunch and reasonably priced

A lovely place to visit, just been renovated with a lovely, fresh look to the place. You don't need to be a member of play golf to visit here.

Nice friendly staff nice golf range highly recommend. Didn't have any food so can't comment.

We went for the Sunday Carvery and I must say it was probably the best carvery I have had. For one, it had lamb as a meat option, which is very rare at carverys. It was nicely cooked and moist not dry. The vegetables were excellent, nice and firm, not over cooked and mushy as I have experienced at othe carverys. It is just a shame I now live in Germany and can't visit this place a bit more often.

Went as walk in customers a few weeks ago during school holidays. We were quickly seated and a drinks order taken. The waiter was attentive and talked us through the menu. Service was great and food arrived quickly. Food was excellent, good sized portions without being too much.

Made a booking and thankful we did as Sundays by the looks of things will require a booking and their Famous Carvery is the reason! We both opted for it (1 lamb, 1 beef) served by the chef then you help yourself to the rest! Roast/boiled tatties, the most delicious cauliflower cheese, brocolli, swede & carrot mix, yorkies and gravy selection to partner your chosen meat. £14.95 pp and worth it! It was absolutely delicious. We shared the Malteser cheesecake which was delicious too. Definitely be back and highly recommend the carvery. Service was 1st class too.

Dinner was fine but nothing special. My partners rump steak was a bit gristly and the fish was a bit tasteless although the batter was nice. We also used the driving range. Lots of parking

Nice decor friendly staff however forgot most of the drinks oder l ordered the rump steak rare it was tiny paper thin and medium sent it back if anything it was even smaller and still over cooked won't be back

A group of friends came to use the driving range last week. It was fun and well worth the money. The restaurant was different. We came in and asked for a table to be told let me check..the place was dead..don't know why you need to check but they then seated us away in a cold corner next to a door. We waited for someone to come over and take a drinks order but no waitress came they the place was quiet but they all stood talking at the bar with what I think was a very unclean chef and a manager all joking around. 1 waitress then caught my friends eye and came over and took our order, we ordered drinks and food as waited so long. drinks arrived and food not long after as the chef left probably to cook our dinner. The food was very poor the hot dishes were cold my friends cesar salad she said had no parmesan and should really just be a chicken salad. We sat so long after we finished due to staff ignoring us we got up and went to the bar to pay and was given a card to review. It's too expansive for quality of food, drinks and service. We would go back to use the driving range but not the restaurant as such low standards especially for what we paid. The guy on the driving range was very good.

My usual stop for breakfast on a Monday morning. Always greeted with a smile and cheery hello from Adele. Service always excellent from Adele and Iona as is the cooked breakfast.

Way overpriced! Macaroni cheese and chips £18!! Lasagne and chips £18!! We found the menu a little deceptive.. lovely staff and food is nice enough but not sure we will return..

Had a brilliant Christmas lunch here with friends. Served incredibly patiently by Emma who Rognvald Mitchell said quote "was an angel". The food, service and atmosphere were great!

Food for party night upstairs was awful. Meagre, cheap and tasteless.

Pretty dreadful actually. 3 diners...room cold, meat so tough it was almost inedible, rock hard sprouts and chunks of rock hard carrot. No atmosphere at all. I know it was a Monday but staff gave impression just couldn't be bothered and the dirty look from the cook as we entered set the tone for the whole evening. We won't be back

Food was lovely, really good. But for some reason the waitresses kept staring at my group and chatting to one another at the bar which made the meal quite uncomfortable.

Overall enjoyed it, but room for improvement! Very friendly welcome, but unfortunately we could barely hear a thing across our table once we were sat down as the noise from other tables carried really badly in a low-ceilinged room. Nobody's fault, just the building design but wasn't great to be beside big party groups. Food was mainly fine, but it seemed a bit much to have to pay an extra £3 for chips to go with a (not great) macaroni cheese which already cost £14.45. appreciate cost of.living gone up amd all that, but... Fish and chips were good, turkey dinner could have been better. Only one pig in blanket, literally over half the meat was just skin and no cranberry sauce. Tried to get hold of someone but no luck, and given the lack of meat it wasn't worth the effort pursuing it. Staff were friendly, but we played second fiddle to the big groups - such is the way of things in December, but not nice when you are out to supposedly celebrate a special occasion. We gave up after asking for the bill several times and then being encouraged to just get up and pay on way out, but got to say that if we had stayed for desserts, it would feel odd to have to go and look at them at a counter. Seemed to be mainly cakes and traybakes, and unfortunately the fact that they were in a cabinet didn't exactly give off the impression of freshness! I'd have gone back for the food as it was grand, but not willing to pay those prices and the fact that we were clearly second rate customers to the big groups (possibly not intentionally). Not how you win locals over and encourage them to return!

Went for lunch which I had booked a table for online. Lovely restaurant. Had Christmas menu on as well as normal menu. Fairways chicken was lovely served with coleslaw, choice of dip (sweet chill) and chips. Generous portion. Staff friendly and efficient.

Love going here with my girlfriend. Quite expensive but worth every penny. Staff are all polite and efficient, resteraunt looks really nice, comfy seating and fantastic tasting food. Again the cakes are quite expensive too but again totally worth it! 🤤

Food was good, but we got the wrong order

Interior great especially the Locker room. Restaurant toilets and function suite need an upgrade. We are in restaurant which was ok for dinner - a bit like a posh school dinner lacked finishing touches. Had chicken balmoral which is like what you would make at home for a mid week dinner, it needed more lift and plate appeal for the price you are paying which is considerable. Ok home cooking but you would expect more in a restaurant which has such lovely interior and amazing staff. The staff are fab, have a ‘can do’ attitude and very friendly. We are breakfast before we left and that was so much better than the dinner we had the night before. Staff member Iona and Mags need a mention as stand out. This place could be so much more if they upped their game in the restaurant at dinner! I hope when we come back which we will that this has changed! Wouldn’t take much!

Myself and a colleague visited here whilst on a trip from work. We were staying in the Travelodge and were late in arriving so needed dinner a flyer in the reception said the restaurant was open until 9pm we arrived just before 8:30 to be told they were closed when I questioned the opening hours also stated on there website we were told last orders were done, we asked to speak to a manager but no manager available. They then said they would seat us but we had to order straight away no problem as we were very hungry. Our food order was taken quickly but no drinks order we had to go up and ask for drinks. Our food came out quickly a burger that was clearly thrown in a microwave and fish and chips both chips with the meal were cold. It seemed after our food arrived all the staff disappeared to the back switching lights off and stacking chairs by this point we felt very unwelcome so we asked for our bill but by that point we were hunting staff down who were sitting in another bar area at the back. The food was too expensive for standard of quality and service, due to my job I am used to having to dine in similar restaurants always attached to premier inns or travelodges and no what to expect but you pay the price and staff at least happy for your custom this place definitely not wanting our custom. Next time we are staying we will choose differently.

A superb driving range. Reasonably priced. £7.50 for 48 balls or £10 for 96. Tip, if you only want to play 48, buy 96 as the machine dispenses 48 at a time and you can use the remaining on another day.

Super helpful, kind manager who squeezed us in when I made a mistake on our online booking. Family friendly, no problem to make a bit of noise, decent sized portions in clean surroundings.

My family ate here last week and had such an awful meal, we had to ask 3 times for a drink the staff all young and seemed not bothered and all just stood around chatting. When we eventually got there attention they never smiled or made eye contact. the food wasn't great either my lasagne was so burnt at the bottom chips were cold, my wifes burger inedible my mums steak pie was good though. we told the waitress who said she would tell her manager but the manager never came to speak to us and just played on a computer, we got our bill and left. Fairways used to be good and well priced but was expensive with terrible service we wont be back.

Very impressed , lovely place , great aesthetics, rooms, nice views, nice staff, some of the best (if not the best) battered haddock I’ve had and I’m from Peterhead (biggest white fishing port in Europe) Would definitely come back and recommend.

Had a great time out with work colleagues for dinner. I am gf so limited to what I can eat. I had the smothered chicken was very tasty. Good service tasty food.

As a family with kids, we find Fairways was always the top option for Sunday lunch/dinner. There was always something on the menu for everyone. We visit regularly - probably at least once a month. Up until recently we’ve had no problems. However, last month we visited and the staff were nowhere near as attentive. We had to ask for drinks 3 times, desserts took over 30 mins to arrive and the staff looked disinterested. We thought we’d try again in case it was an off day. So we went again to find there is no longer a small carvery on offer (something that 5 out of our group go for always without fail) - it’s now just standard £14.50 which isn’t worth it for small eaters or juniors. Also the heat was unbearable in the restaurant to the point that 3 of our group had to go to the loo to cool down. The music is so loud that we couldn’t hear each others conversation across the table. Waitresses were better on this visit. The tall lady with short dark hair (cannot remember her name) is a real asset to the restaurant. Hope to see small carvery back on the menu or it just isn’t worth a return visit for our group.

This was my 1st visit to fairways but won't be last 🤗 everything was great from service to food myself & family enjoyed our experience here highly recommend.

They were very busy but welcoming and the lovely young lady on the reception managed to fit us in. The burger was good but the buns were rock hard and dry. A big thanks to Lily who dealt with our feedback in a calm, professional manner. She is a credit to the company, many thanks, Alison Anderson

Loved this place!! Staff were really nice and attentive. Got in about 40 minutes before the kitchen opened for lunch and they were kind enough to allow us to sit at a table for that time and drink some coke while we waited for the kitchen to open. Definitely worth the wait!! Food was nice and fresh!

Inside of restaurant was beyond warm. Asked to be seated outside which they agreed to. Neither our waitress or the server that brought us our water never said that we had to personally go inside to order a meal. Found out by going to a manager. Ordered meal, asked for a beer and desert delivered with dinner. Beer and desert didn’t arrive. Went in to request same. I was told that the beer was delivered to the wrong table outside. I asked why the runner didn’t come ask us, being the only other occupied table outside, if it was ours. Blank look. Also, I told the manager that I had specifically asked for the dessert to be delivered with dinner since we had waited so long. She looked at me and said “do you want to wait until after dinner to get the dessert?”. No initiative by employees, customer service lacking, food ok, dinner spoiled by abysmal interactions. Would not eat there again.

Ate here 4 times over the weekend. Two breakfasts, one pizza and a dinner. All excellent. Meals were well presented, well cooked and delicious. The staff were great and helpful.

We stayed at Travelodge near by had a great meal and few drinks staff were helpful a good night.
