Really nice place staff are friendly & helpful Food arrived quickly couldn't get any Ale as they'd been busy so had to settle for larger but no complaints Affordable prices Nice food will be going back before we head home

Came with kids and dog. Had to sit outside as not allowed in bar or lounge all together. Was refused food outside.

I can't understand the positive reviews. At best, the food is better than from the rest stop on the highway.

Lovely pub and restaurant. Really friendly service and delicious food - we both had the Mongolian curry which was very tasty and had lots of beef. We had the pop pop chicken to start which was also delicious, would recommend if you're looking for good food and a quiet friendly vibe in the town.

It was a lovely pub and I couldn’t really fault it but the food did seem just reheated and cheap for the price. It was very quiet when we went , maybe 2 people in the whole pub. The staff were lovely though :)

Called in here as a family of 5 for pub food! Greeted on entering and shown to a nice table, good selection of food, orders taken from the table and food arrived quickly and was beautiful! Will definitely call again when we are in the area!

Love this place, whenever I am in town it is a sure stop for food and beverage, the staff are great and the chef is amazing. Definitely will not disappoint.

Nous avons relativement bien mangé, sans que ce repas nous ait marqué. Plat indien bon, plat à base de poitrine de poulet également, mais un peu trop lourd. Nous étions presque seuls dans la salle, c'était donc calme et agréable. Le cadre est charmant.

Stopped by after a long drive and was greeted by lovely staff. Very nice pub grub available and I chose beer battered haddock, chips, peas and tartar sauce. Perfect fish supper and the Mongolian beef with rice was perfectly cooked also.

Four of us stayed in a airbnb 5 mins from the Lochy, and so glad we found this gem. The staff were amazing, the food was terrific and the atmosphere was first class. Thank you so much for helping make our weekend and we will certainly make sure we pop in If we are back In the area.

I liked the noisy and cheerful atmosphere at Lochy. Sometimes it was hard to communicate because of the noise. It was full when I went there, but they found a place for me. I got my food really quickly. It was simple but good.

I Stayed in Fort William with my dad and bro this year 3rd untill 6th September we ate in The Lochy and drank in there a few times what a great local pub with great staff and a great atmosphere we will definitely be back! Thankyou

Really friendly pub with a great atmosphere. We visited Scotland to climb Ben Nevis for charity and when we got talking to one of the ladies behind the bar she gave us a £20 donation towards the charity which was so lovely! Highly recommend.

Another lovely lunch at The Lochy. Definitely one of our favourite places to eat.

Great place for lunch very close to Neptune's Staircase. Friendly welcoming staff. Traditional food cooked to the highest standard.

Lieu plutôt agréable, prix accessibles, repas de plutôt bonne qualité et en quantité. Le personnel est également agréable, bien que nous ayons fini sur une notre moins agréable car la serveuse qui nous encaissait ne comprenait pas à quelle table nous étions et finissait pas s’énerver.

It was a nice enough visit. Order at bar for food and drink , average prices , food nicely presented and as described. Was surprised to find a 10% discretionary service charge added to bill and not shown on menu or told by staff. I questioned the charge and initially told that staff have no option to remove it however manager offered to take it off. I did say she could do that and pop it into charity box. I have no objection to service charges although do prefer to tip what I want so long as customers are made aware of this but think if you have to stand at a counter to order and carry your own drink to table the only service left is bringing food to you. Not as if anyone came across to take away plate or enquire if meal was ok.

A fine local pub a short walk from Neptune’s Staircase. The service and the food was very good. Carrot and coriander soup followed by a jacket potato made for a satisfying late afternoon lunch.

Notre steak haché n’était vraiment pas bon 😬 La serveuse aux lunettes qui semblait dans un premier temps fort sympathique s’est très vite agacée lorsque je n’ai pas compris l’une de ses questions au moment de l’encaissement. Navrée de ne pas être bilingue et de ne pas réussir à décrypter votre accent très particulier !

Bel pub nel centro di Caol. Per ordinare bisogna andare a bancone! Noi abbiamo assaggiato l’eglefino grigliato servito con piselli e patatine fritte(12,95£) e uno stracotto di carne servito con riso bianco(13,95£): entrambi i piatti molto buoni! Consigliato!

We wilden een keer fish en chips eten en bij de Lochy hebben we dat gedaan. Lastig te beoordelen omdat ik zelf nogal hoge eisen aan mijn eten stel. Als ik dat even wegdenk heb ik best heerlijk gegeten voor een prima prijs. Bediening was heerlijk lokaal (joh ik van) en de fish was redelijk. Ik had zelf de gezonde optie genomen maar de frituur was smaakvoller. Zeker een keer gaan eten.

C’est un pub local qui ne paie de pas de mine en termes de décoration mais il nous a été recommandé par notre hôte. Nous avons été agréablement surpris par l’accueil et la qualité des plats. C’était généreux et très bon ! De plus, les prix étaient abordables.

Excellent service, food and an overall wonderful experience. We were only staying in Fort William as an overnight stay on route to Skye and wouldn’t hesitate to return to The Lochy for future visits. Particular thanks to Mary, who took the time to chat with interest 🤗 We shared a chicken and bacon baguette which was a perfect size for a shared snack and the best skin on chips we’ve ever experienced 😋 Highly recommend 😍

We visited here after googling reviews. We had our little dog with us. Had a really nice welcome. Bar staff so friendly and helpful. Chatty. Gave the dog water and a treat. Unfortunately our food was not good. Everything deep fried tasted of grease. We couldn’t eat it. And felt bad afterwards. With the grease repeating on us. Sorry to write this review as people so nice. Perhaps it was a bad day in the kitchen because other reviews are great ? Again. What lovely staff!

We have Holidayed in and around Ft Bill for years, often stopping at the Lochy for food, and always had good food and great service. This year I feel it has possibly changed ownership, or at least direction. The 'service' was awful, having to collect our own menus and seat ourselves - at the please wait to be seated podium - , then order at the bar. Our starter came and it was delicious. Then our mains came and one of the meals was unsatisfactory. This was dealt with by way of not being charged, again, a good resolution. However, upon approaching the bar to pay, my husband paid and we was asked if we wanted a receipt. He said no, but the cost did not seem right, when I questioned the £45 odd for 2 starters, 1 burger, a pint, a soft drink and a wine, the lady produced the receipt. They had automatically added a 10% service charge for services in my opinion, not provided. And not even given an option prior to not pay. If the bill was bought to the table as per normal, you would see the charge. But then you likely wouldn't object as you'd have received service

Wir haben dort Abend gegessen. Essen war lecker. Man muss alles an der Theke bestellen und dann wird das Essen an den Tisch gebracht.

we came for dinner and the food wasn’t great but it was still nice just a bit disappointing

The food & service were excellent and the staff were very friendly. Unfortunately we called earlier in the day and were unable to book a table. As it was during the summer holiday period we would've felt happier knowing we would be guaranteed a table particularly if booking a large group or having elderly family members or children in our party. We would've been happy to pay a deposit if it meant guaranteeing a booking. Just something to think about for future customers. We have been using the Lochy for many years and have never had this problem before. Surely it would be more beneficial for a restaurant to know how many bookings to expect during each service?

Staff were fabulous, food was great. Unfortunately we could not book in advance?? I have used the Lochy since it was built this is the first time this has happened? Why. If it was last week I would have had on choice but to book another venue as I had my 94 year old mother in law with me. I would be happy to pay a deposit when booking. Could someone please explain this change?

Stopped in after watching the train at the Glen Finnan Viaduct. Had a great lunch. I had fish and chips and my husband had a jacket (baked) potato covered with haggis, grilled onions and cheese. He has not stop talking about it and it's been a year and a half!

Really wonderful food served in good time in a lovely relaxed environment. Menu is good and varied, something to suit everyone.

It was ok. Upon entering we got a table for two relatively quickly. You have to order everything at the bar and also pay at bar in the end. The staff was nice although you never really have contact with them anyways. The food came out of the kitchen quite fast and was really ok for the price. But nothing world changing. It is just your typical bar menu with a big focus on burgers. We ate the meat and the veggie tacos, where we ended up liking the veggie option more. It is a very touristy place, especially at the time we were there. A lot of children screaming and the music was not really fitting to the ambience and it also was way too loud. It is ok for a quick meal, but I would try to find something else next time I am here.

Went in for some lunch and drinks on our walk from Ben Nevis holiday park, arrived with a warm welcome from the 2 barmaids full of banter, even gave our dog some water and treats in the bar, free pool on Tuesdays so we helped ourself to a few games and got a good crack with the locals, food is really good with a great menu and reasonably priced, would definitely recommend.

The fish and chips were super tasty and the vegan burger was also good. Cozy atmosphere and good prices! Would come again

Ordered fish n chips. Steak with budding. Pulled pork tacos. Fush n chip came some bones and batter was not crunchy or maybe it was oily. The rest was below par.

This was what we needed from a long day of travel. I got the fish and chips and my wife got a chicken salad. Both were very good.

Wat een beetje ongewoon is, is dat je aandelen bar je bestelling moet doorgeven. Deze keer was het achteraf betalen. 2 dagen geleden was dit direct bij het bestellen.

Das Essen war hier leider nichts besonderes und dir Getränke wurden vergessen sodass wir nochmal zur Bar mussten. Leider gab es keinen Veggie Burger mehr und sowohl der Falaffel Burger, als auch die vegetarischen Tacos waren nicht lecker. Es ist wirklich selten, dass ich nicht alles esse, aber das habe ich nicht runterbekommen. Insgesamt wirkt das Restaurant ohnehin mehr wie eine gemütliche, aber nicht besonders ansprechende Kneipe. Zum Essen eindeutig nicht zu empfehlen.

Stumbled upon this wee gem, obviously a popular local. Busy with local folks having a good time. Staff were great, very helpful & chatty. We had a nice meal and a couple of drinks, prices are reasonable. Comfortable establishment..... Will visit again....

Unfortunately wrong time to be at The Locky as a wet early mid week evening where awaiting fresh beer delivery. At least the Guiness is Gooodddddd. Food looks great with Chilli Beef Loaded Fries on bar menu. Quiet in bar, lounge serving food a lot livelier Pool table, darts & TV hopefully covering sport for the active & armchair critics. Guiness is still gooooodddddddd, not god but good. Even better now FREE use of pool table on Tues (tonite). Looking up as bar filling up. Not tried the food, so cannot say what's available or if VFM
