Good food, calm atmosphere and great service.

Perfect dinner, just the two of us. Food was absolutely fantastic, as good as we've had (if not better) in ages. Service was immaculate - friendly and knowledgeable (thank you to Iona) and we cannot wait to return soon.

Nice little pub for a tasty meal and a nice drink

We were there for a 70th birthday dinner in a separated room which was fine but a tad cramped. Service was friendly and efficient and the food - very nicely presented and excellent quality. Cannot speak for the pricing as we were guests. A bit difficult to park nearby. A short walk, but would only be a problem if the weather was inclement.

Absolutely impeccable seasonally inspired local cuisine and drinks. We loaded up a table of 6 overflowing with food, it was so delicious and fresh we didn’t leave a bit on the plates. Also great locally inspired cocktails with international flair.

Lovely food in a lovely atmosphere

Food wasn't as warm as it should have been, I've had gammon steak in may pubs and this was the worst I've experienced as they served it with lettuce so couldn't heat the plate, steak was very thin so crispy and dry, peas wer cold and chips weren't hot. Service was good but meal let it down so I don't think we will be returning to this establishment.

Can't fault a wonderful private dinner party here at The Chester Hotel. Staff were attentive, friendly and made a special day even more special. Delicious cocktails, yummy food, a beautiful location and great setup. Would recommend and return. Thank you to the team!
