Good local pub with good choice of beer. Still a very good local.

Great pub we're not from the area however always pop in when we visit the westend.

Popped in for the Monday night quiz, pleased to say we didn't finish last (almost...but managed to hold off) serious quizzers out on a Monday, lovely atmosphere, lots of cheer to be had. Enjoyed the evening! Would recommend if you like a good quiz and at a loose end on a Monday! They don't do food anymore.

Not for everyone. Service is fine and beer good but it's just got an odd atmosphere any time I visit.

Used to be a favourite west end bar. Sadly, the service has been poor recently. Staff a bit sullen and kind of act like the bar is "theirs".

Attended with my brother and was refused service as the rude barman stated that my brother got too drunk the last time he attended, which is fair as he did. So I attended myself a few days later and was told I’m not being served because of my brother! He wasn’t with me! Place has went downhill also since they closed their kitchen!

Off the beaten track, a little bit tired and run down, we were in mid-afternoon so maybe it livens up later on. One positive, they have a great range of table/pub games, so you can deffo enjoy the stay if you enjoy your own company.

Don't do food anymore, which is a shame coz it was great!

the staff were kinda obnoxious and rude, I seen them serve a series of people, myself included, were they made no eye contact, didnt talk to the customer at all, just made the drink and held up the card machine for payment whilst talking absolute nonsense amongst themselves. It was like being served by TikTok.

Staff on the bar, particularly the guy wearing the cherry top, so rude and unfriendly. Served warm white wine. Other drinks fine. More of a twinkle nag than a sparkle horse

Lovey wee hidden away pub but well worth looking for ....didn't get to try the food but will next time

Only a modicum of horse and a surprising lack of sparkle. -1 star. Home of the Partick swayze, which is apparently a 35ml measure of spirits?. Poor pun. -1 star.

Service always excellent, staff skilled. Good range of products. Only issue is the interior needs a refurbishment.

Ask for the Partick Swayze cocktail then ask how it got it's name. The spirit of Glasgow in a drink...

A lovely pub conveniently located a stone throw away from the underground. Has a nice wee patio away from the main strip.

Went last night with friends. Really nice bar chilled atmosphere with very nice bar staff. Ladies toilet was pretty rank. Looked grubby and in need of an overhaul. Not nice! Left soon after.

Great chill, friendly place, they even turned the music down in the empty mezzanine for me while I had am unexpected and serious work drama, I didn't even ask I just mentioned I was gonna nestle up there to make some awkward calls and the staff woman offered spontaneously, that was my second visit and they are just fab, the real Partick Swayze if perfect with a Guiness 😃

Great pub. Nice decor. Good selection of drinks. Quiz night's on a Monday is renowned in the West End. Staff are nice important these days don't you think.

Quite clean and simple food ok and customer service is fast efficient and actually okay near city and takeaways ask listen and confidence test passed

Really good pub, great service from the staff and it's a really mixed crowd with a good atmosphere. Didn't try the food as the kitchen was unfortunately closed the night we were there. Recommended 👍

It's a pub and there are many like it, also many better and many worse.

Was the best pub in partick. Only 2 customers and 3 staff and slow to serve.

Prices are okay and staff is friendly. A bit quieter as it's off the main drag of Dumbarton road. Would recommend.

Sadly no more food due to the huge increase in raw goods / energy costs and I greatly miss their steak pie. Fortunately the friendly bar staff remain.

Lots of choices of drinks. Hubby said the beer was very good. A couple of board games available. Kitchen closed when we visited. Outside seating available. Dog friendly.

Great staff and a fine selection of drinks. They aren’t doing food at the moment but that didn’t affect us. It’s a lovely and welcoming place to have a drink. Dog friendly.

Now a West End institution, the Sparkle Horse continues to be one of the best places in the city to relax with a good pint of St Mungo and a book during the day, or have a raucous catch-up with old friends in the evening. The only downside is the temporary closure of its kitchen; decanting to one of the many quality restaurants in the vicinity, then perhaps coming back for a few more lagers and a signature Partick Swayze shot, is a small sacrifice.

One of the best pubs in the west end. In a word chill. Not too old man. Not too studenty. Just right

never been here and was a recommendation. great bar staff and service. didnt really want to promote the restaurant as i was told it was small and would really be a bit of a wait for food, this was disappointing as we would have stayed much longer if we could have had a nice meal as we really enjoyed the atmosphere. the food that we say going out looked really good. bar staff worked hard and deserved the £10 tip, i hope they get it

Had a great lunch and drinks with my family for the 1st time in many months. Great atmosphere and great value.

Very friendly and welcoming staff. Enjoyed a few drinks outside in the sun and returned later for more drinks in the evening and a really lovely dinner and mouth-watering puddings. Cosy interior and a good mix of people. Nice background tunes to. All good.

Always enjoy a visit to sparkle horse. Table service was excellent with staff always checking if we needed anything. Excellent food and good selection of drinks. Would only suggest as few more cocktail options as it's a bit limited buuuuut you know that's a first world problem.

This is a brilliant neighbourhood pub/restaurant just off Partick. We're not locals, have to travel by bus just over 7 miles to visit here but so well worth it. Great atmosphere, great music. The food is excellent and the staff are fab. Will be back agson soon. 😃👍😘

Nice atmosphere!. If you feel like eating something with the drink, food is very good there!!!! Specially burger and steak!

Lovely outdoor seating area on a quiet street with a good atmosphere. Reasonably priced drinks and really friendly staff. We couldn't go inside becuse of Covid but when I went in to use the toilets the indoors looked really cool. We will definitely be back 😀.

Great bar with good selection of beers & spirits. Plenty of seating outside in the warm summer months. Food menu available with good variety of snacks and burgers.

Had lovely lunch, (£13.50 for 2 courses.) Beef Strips were lovely and Chips perfect. My Granddaughter couldn't finish her Vegiburger but, at her request, it was wrapped up for her to take away. Staff were pleasant and helpful. Look forward to another visit.

I love the Sparkle Horse. Great place for a drink, good service and the food is excellent. Great mix of people as well, always a good sign. Just gets the basics right, a real asset to Glasgow

Three of us took advantage of the pub extending Eat out to Help out on their main meals. The environment was good as was the choice of beers and lagers, much of it locally brewed for the draught ones. The menu was a bit limited but I chose the beef burger with cheese, which was excellent with the side of hand cut chips. From a COVID point of view it felt really safe and secure. Will go back
