The Croft Bar in Glasgow City

We were a party of three, so two of us had your steak pie 🥧 and we both thoroughly enjoyed it. The meat was very tender and tasted absolutely delicious and the pastry was perfect and tasted lovely too. The veg were cooked perfectly. One of us had mash and one of us had roast potatoes. The nicest and tastiest roast potatoes that l have had for ages. We will DEFINITELY come back again for the steak pie dinners. We also particularly liked the two for one offer, too. We would also like to try your fish and chips too, as we seen another customer having it brought to their table and it looked lovely. We would like to try other things from your menu. Our other party member had a club sandwich and chips and it looked a nice sized portion, as were our steak pie dinners. Our friend thoroughly enjoyed their lunch, too. Two people had coffees after their lunch, and both said that they tasted very nice, too. The restaurant looked nice and we liked the way that the staff did not seat parties too close to other parties that were already in OR came in after we did. The female waitress and the lady behind the bar were both nice and friendly. We all enjoyed your food, service, establishment and your prices were reasonable, for what we had. 🤗 Definitely 10/10 and five stars. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Please continue to do everything that you do, and the way that you do it. The two for one offer is absolutely brilliant and definitely would encourage me to recommend your establishment, to my family and friends. It was also good that we could easily park. 😊 ⭐️⭐️👌🥰⭐️🤗👍⭐️⭐️

The croft is set in the heart of croftfoot. It is a local pub/restaurant, but it's a hidden gem when it comes to the food. We come here every couple of months and as always the food is top notch. It does one of the best steak pies in Glasgow IMHO. The menu is always interesting if you like to try something a little different. The staff and the service is very friendly. If your looking for a good place to eat that won't break the bank with quality fresh food look no further than the croft..

Food was great really nice, let down let down with slow service. We had sat for 15/20 mins after we had our main meal before we had to call someone to take our plates away and ask for a sweet menu.. to be fair they had a birthday party there but with only 3 waitresses they were rushed off their feet... but as I've already mentioned the food was lovely just let down by slow service...

The last time I was here for a mea l the food was fine the only thing that spoiled it was the waiting time for food was far too long and I had to ask how long our food would be we were in a party of eight, and there customer service skills are not the best however hopefully it's got better

Food wasn't as warm as it should have been, I've had gammon steak in may pubs and this was the worst I've experienced as they served it with lettuce so couldn't heat the plate, steak was very thin so crispy and dry, peas wer cold and chips weren't hot. Service was good but meal let it down so I don't think we will be returning to this establishment.

Staff were very attentive towards or elderly clients and staff nothing was a bother first class thank you so much we will be back again

We enjoyed a few drinks in the bar before dinner. It wasn’t overly busy but there was a nice atmosphere. The food and drinks in the restaurant was very good but my first choice of chicken teriyaki was unavailable.Although I was disappointed the Cajun Chicken Arabiata was very nice. Staff were very friendly and attentive.

We went for my mum's 70th great experience there was 9 of us staff were really friendly and efficient were quick with drinks and food and also surprised my mum singing happy birthday and a slice of cake my mum really appreciated that it made her night. Thank you to the staff of the croft great night 👍.

Great service, lovely atmosphere and staff. Would be rushing back except the Gammon I ordered has had me blowing out the contents of my body from opposing apertures for the last 9 hours. Go for sure but don’t get the gammon.

I recently visited the Croft Bar & Restaurant for lunch and was thoroughly impressed. The lunchtime menu was fantastic, with several items available from just £5, making it great value for money. The service was efficient and quick, ensuring we didn’t have to wait long for our food. The drinks were also good, complementing the meal perfectly. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, making the overall experience very enjoyable. I highly recommend this place for a satisfying and pleasant lunch!

First visit in years this afternoon. Hard to judge atmosphere on a wet Monday afternoon. Guys serving were very polite and top of their game. I will return as Guinness was very good.

Went early Sunday morning and where the only people in which surprised me because the breakfast was so fresh and tasty. Service was great but we where the only people in but the lady was very nice and attentive. Defo be back to try lunch and dinner menus.

Food is always superb and delicious ,,what a great atmosphere to be in ,bar staff are brilliant and Management are such a pleasure to speak to also .

We came in on Saturday at 12.30pm. It was busy and we waited a long wait for service and longer wait for food which is unusual. We had 10 minutes ti wolf down our food and not able to enjoy it before we had to rush. Staff were lovley ! Ae always my only complaint was that there was only 2 members if staff in trying to take orders/ serve food/ make drinks/ take payments ect ect clean tables. Way too short staffed. I offered to help at one point.

We had a lovely lunch, I would highly recommend the chicken pakora and salt and chilli chips !! Nice atmosphere, excellent service, and great value for money !! A hidden gem, well worth a visit.

First visit to the croft, we had a large table, the food, service & staff were outstanding. The menu has a great selection, I would highly recommend going for a visit.

I can not recommend the Croft enough from the food to management and staff totally amazing. They always go above and beyond there call of duty to make sure you have the best experience and also make you feel so special. It is always busy so definitely recommend booking a table in advance if possiblet to avoid disappointment. It hss recently been refurbished and also has a great new menu. I am so lucky to have this on my doorstep. Definitely worth a try 10/10 from me.

Usual place for a spot of lunch. However I had the lunch fish and chips and it was awful. The fish was undercooked and greasy. It was like frozen fish not enjoyable . Said to the waitress and got sorry about that. Won’t rush back.

A nice place for gathering after Sunday church service. My Sunday Roast was good. My friend said his beef burger is tasty. Since we have a group of over 10 people, their service still very good, didn’t mess up any orders.

Steak pie was exceptional. Service very good. Only one small observation - when the restaurant is not full why sit diners next to already full tables?

My wife got her usual steak pie but was Luke warm I had got fish and chips before that was terrible thinking it was a one of I ordered it again silly mistake I had more soggy pale batter than I had fish I've had bigger fish fingers said to a member of staff and she replied we get a lot of complaints about the fish I'll ket them know Won't be back in there again terrible

The atmosphere at the Croft is always very warm and inviting . The staff are friendly and attentive. The food never disappoints, especially the steakpie , (my favourite) Great value , not over priced especially as the quality of the food is outstanding. Looking forward to my next visit..

Popped in for lunch and was not disappointed, lovely bowl of Carrot and coriander soup followed by a delicious Balmoral chicken,my wife loved the chicken liver pate and although the haggis,neeps and tatties were great the portion size got the better of her. Staff very friendly and enjoyed a wee laugh with them too.

Faultless. Delicious. Perfectly seasoned. Haggis, neeps and tatties in whisky sauce. Tablet sundae. Yum

I took my family on Friday for an Easter meal having booked in person a few days before only to be told on arrival that the legendary 2 for1.didnt apply on a bank holiday. Surely this should have been advised when booking. Money is tight so it was a good way to have a meal with all the family at a reasonable cost. Very disappointed and it almost double our budget which we really can’t afford. Hope you do

The reason for this review is I was really disappointed as we were asked to leave 1.half hours later we didn't have time to have a desert we were told people were waiting on our table but there wasn't anyone waiting and there were people still sitting who were in before us. I know it was mother's day but 1. Half hours. I can say the food was amazing.

Really busy prices for drink okay

Have visited other restaurants in the group, with good food, staff and pleasant surroundings? The Croft was not a pleasant experience, at all. Surroundings had ripped wallpaper, torn, ripped carpets and foodstuffs on the carpet. Main course was inedible. The staff were the only saving grace.

Was croft day put order food waiting long time 615pm 645pm main long time watt what was worse deserve taken uptwo 740pm come tho made me late somewhere be 730pm not happy not sorry for watt ot 😐 discounts food was very good 😀 😊 tho

Enjoyed my lunch. The service was great - very friendly etc. Food was tasty but was disappointed in the size of the portion of my fajitas as MUCH smaller than last time. Realise that ingredients are now more expensive but still feel rather dissatisfied. However, I will be back for lunch soon!

When I come through to see my wee sister I always pop in for a drink and I have been in many time's with my nephew over the year's the staff and the punters are friendly and there is always football on can't wait to be back 🍻🍻

Me and my husband go get steak pie is so good then pop through to the bar and have a great night the bar staff are so friendly feel so comfortable all different ages everybody is really friendly love it

Had a great time at the restaurant, and there were plenty of staff to cater with our needs. Food was excellent, and of course, the service was also excellent. I would recommend this restaurant for anyone who wants to join friends for a meal.

Great. Nice atmosphere, very reasonably priced but good quality food, and lovely staff. Lunch or dinner, lovely place to have a meal or a pint.

I opted for Chicken Enchiladas, portion size was good, however I found them a tad dry. Apple crumble was divine! Won't stop me coming back will just pick a different main.

Great meals today 3 x Steak Pie and 1 x Macaroni, onion rings, 4 deserts, 4 drinks for under £67.

Not impressed with the state of the place the seats are stained and dirty My husband had fish and chips very small piece of fish I had steak pie with boiled potatoes and they were dry and hard the peas and carrots were cold some bits of the pastry were hard one thing for sure I won’t be back have been going to this place for years but the standards have really dropped could be doing with getting painted and cleaned up.

This place is one well oiled machine! It was completely full, both bar and restaurant, yet staff handled it like the experts they are. They worked as a team and didn't miss a beat. The food was also excellent, flavorful, and well prepared. We loved the atmosphere also, especially in the pub. Seemed like mostly locals were coming in for a drink or dinner. Thank you for our last dinner in Scotland! We have enjoyed wonderful hospitality throughout our time here and this was icing on the cake. Cheers!

We have visited the Croft in several occasions, every time, we have eaten there, the food has been of a good standard & the service has been excellent. All staff have been polite & happy. I would recommend the Croft for a family get together or a casual meal for friends

Went out for a meal with my family, food was delicious as always, great place for dinner! The Croft Salad was huge and packed with flavour, and the raspberry cheesecake was delicious, there's a reason I frequent this place! EDIT: Recently revisited, and it was just as good as last time!
