It is one of the most unique Pubs in the world. The view is so beautiful. It is next to the oldest Golf course in the world, St. Andrews Old Course. While you can see outside you can watch the golf tournament and drink you scotch. The staff are fantastic and treat you as if they have known you for years. It has food but it is just pub food. You feel so comfortable and content you just do not want to leave.

Really good atmosphere, had the haggis croquettes to start with then the fish, lovely. Reasonably priced, it is St.Andrews after all.

Ok service, planned for lunch but served undrinkable pint of ‘jigger’ so made a swift exit. Beware of the beer!!!!

The venue is a traditional pub like inside . But food is several points above pub grub. We had booked in advance which was not straight forward via the old couse hotel as its bolted on the end of the hotel.

Liked it but a little disappointed that we couldn't sit inside. Impromptu visit so I suggest booking if you want to visit. Decent pint and great views over the Old & New Courses.

We enjoyed our lunch. Food was good and service efficient. It was pricey for what we had including the drinks. They are on a winner as golfers want to go there do they can charge.

Great lunch and pint after a tour of St Andrews. My favorite beer in the world is the Jigger Ale and I've now had it at Jigger Inn and Horse & Plow in Kohler, WI.

Considering the location would have expected more seasonal local produce....the menu was usual not very local stuff....Scotch Broth would have been preferable to chic pea tomato whatever...although the Cullen Skink was delicious..,Jigger Ale VG... furniture was made for Hobbits...overall OK

A famous old place. Part of the wonderful Old Course Hotel. I'd recommend dining or dtinking in the OCH itself as you're paying 5 star prices for fare you'd get in many other pubs like the Jigger Inn but cheaper and with more indoor space

We were here for a drink. The ambience is very nice and the service was excellent. It is very quaint, but very well maintained and chic. Even if you don't play golf, you can sit here very nicely. It's a little hidden next to the hotel. The sanitary rooms were very pleasantly clean and smelled very hygienic. I can't rate the food because we only ordered drinks. However, the food that was brought to the other tables looked very good.

Quick lunch - Pub full but we’re accommodated outside. Food was great, blankets provided for outside in the cold. Staff were great, Tom was very good to us 👍

I think this place coasts on its being part of the prestigious Old Course Hotel and the fact that once you're on the hotel's grounds, you're a long walk away from any other non-reserved, pricey dining in town. My burger tasted like it was full of filler and awash in gooey sauce.

Cute little pub next to the Old Course hotel with views of the 17/18th holes. Friendly staff, quick service. We didn’t eat but the food looked amazing! You must try the Old Course gin - only available in the Old Course hotels and bars. Delicious!

Outside the staff provided blankets which is a great touch.

This was a really sad experience. This place has become a dingy, unwanted little place. It smelt of urine. A far cry from the historic icon it once was.

Our first beer and cider after arriving in Scotland. What a great place! Staff is cheerful and helpful. The food is great. Right next to the Old Course so you get to see the players making their way through 17 and 18. The best pub in St Andrews (for me at least). We came back another 2 times because we enjoyed it so much.

in the town of St. Andrews It seems to be the most popular Italian restaurant. But when Japanese people order I ordered less oil and salt. I think it's better. Originally, British cuisine was high in salt. I think there are many stores.

Amazing food, service and view! Indoor and outdoor seating was great and the whole place just feels welcoming. Highly recommended.

What better place to enjoy beer a d food than as close to the 17th road hole bunker as you can get. Tje fish and chips at the Jiggers where fantastic as was the golf being played in front of us.

A must visit when in st andrews, history on the walls, and the atmosphere is amazing, good staff, little expensive, but it's a treat worth having.

You get what you expect is a bar near the 17th hole. Nice ambiente good view to the course.

Popped in for a quick drink and sat outside beside the 17th fairway. Efficient staff in a unique position.

Stopped by for a drink, sat in the outdoor terrace where they had big cosy blankets and patio heaters. Friendly, attentive staff!

By far the best meal we’ve had in Fife this week and it wasn’t a rip off unlike some of the other places we visited. A special mention to the young chap by the name of Ruaridh who couldn’t have done more for us if he had tried this is what true service should be like in all restaurants/pubs it certainly won’t be the last time we eat at the Jigger a true gem in St Andrews with fantastic views of the Road hole!

Only go in there if you are a golfer.

Great pub. Brilliant if you get an outside table for drinks at the side of the 17th " Road hole " fairway and can watch the players as they go. Some sad faces among them after the drive going wrong. Food looks good too, heard a lot of praise, no complaints. Staff very professional and can't do enough to help or serve you, and this is what will make people come back Not all bookings it's a walk in, but unfortunately we never found it quiet enough to eat at. Always next time

Road hole,what could be better.

Part of golfing history and a traditional old Scottish pub with food from the Old Course Hotel. The 'beer garden' overlooks the last few holes of the Old Course. Dogs aren't allowed inside, but all are welcome in the beer garden. It's a lovely place for a long lunch, whether you're a golfing fan or not.

Didn't eat so can't comment on meals. Over from Australia and had a wander round to take photo's for my golf mad mate there. Not a golfer myself, but in Scotland so had to visit.

Great food, great service, and great location. I honestly couldn't fault anything. The staff were very attentive, and nothing was too much trouble. Will definitely be back.

Nice setting to spend a summers evening with friends. The Guinness was excellent and the staff were friendly and attentive The outdoor sitting area is very nice and ideal for a group to sit together

You simply have to visit this pub by the Old Course hotel if you love golf. Golf history is everywhere! Team were welcoming and the beer was good, but expensive.

Special little pub with the perfect view ⛳

The best spot in the world to have a drink and a feed while watching golfers play perhaps the most famous course in the world. All staff were extremely friendly, very attentive and the view is absolutely breathtaking. We sat there for 4 hours watching The Old Course as the sun set behind us (you’ll need a blanket even in the summer. Staff will supply them!) and loved every moment. Please go here. It’s wonderful and the decor inside is a golfers paradise.

Must visit if you believe in Golf. Overlooking the Old course with food and drink feels like heaven.

What an absolute disgrace. Food awful, overpriced and just live off the name of 'the jigger inn'. Have a beer but DON'T have the food!!

It was very good the first time we visited for lunch, however on the 2nd visit the Cullen Skink had been watered down & we struggled to find any fish in the small portion. It was not really value for money.

Had lunch here whilst visiting St Andrews. Managed to get a seat outside with great views of the Old Course and watching the golfers on the 17th. Friendly staff. Food lovely. I can recommend the Lamb Kofta really tasty and something a bit different for lunch washed down with a couple of glasses of wine. Food took a while to come out but gave plenty opportunity just to chill in some lovely sunshine.

We have been here a number of times over the years and it was most acceptable. Today however, was not good. We waited an hour after our order was taken for food to arrive, this was after reminding the staff. I had a burger which was over cooked. It was on a plate with some very average fries. It looked as though it had just been thrown on the plate. My wife had fish which was encased in a very greasy batter. We had 2 soft drinks and paid £42.00. Staff very friendly enough but I would not rush back. For a venue that attracts a global visitor it should be doing a lot better especially when the food is being prepared in the Old Course Hotel. N.B. The people at the table next to us actually complained about the food.

A true classic pub - visited by many a famous golfer and situated alongside "the Road hole" of St Andrews famous Old Course. It serves a good selection of ales and lagers, offering real fires food throughout the day and excellent staff service from the moment you step through the door.

Delish fish and chips with a gorgeous view from the garden.

The service was terrible. The food service was horrible; refused service as there were people coming an hour later. We were told “we let you in for a drink”, as if they did us a favour. Pathetic. Comical. And buffoonish.

Have never experienced such rude treatment from any establishment in my life. We are a group of 8 & turned up hoping to get some food. There was a sign up when we arrived saying 'reservations only' but we thought we may as well ask. The waitress said there would be an hour wait for food since it was busy & we hadn't booked however we were OK to sit anywhere available & have drinks until then. So we did just that. However we were then confronted by I'm assuming the manager or head waiter who was extremely rude his attitude was absolutely appalling. Asking what we were doing crossing the "gate" ,which is a rope, without a reservation. I told him we had already asked to come in. The place then all but emptied. It was very very quiet so we then asked if it would be possible to order food only to be told that they were expecting a crowd of 20 in an HOUR so it wouldn't be possible and to be grateful we were allowed in for a drink. I've never heard anything so petty and dramatic. There was no one there! Needless to say we didn't stick around. The gentleman who fronted us is in the wrong profession. Absolutely zero customer service skills whatsoever. I hope several more unwanted crowds turned up. Will never darken its door again.

Service was good, food was ok, nothing special but very overpriced for what you get.

What a fantastic Pub great food & Drink lovely polite staff unbelievable setting by the old course. Had a birthday meal and beer there with the wife staff were great even gave me a desert cake and sang to me nice suprise so a big thanks to them. Best place to have a pint after golfing👌

Great experience to finally get to the Jigger Inn after our round at the Old Course. Service and food was excellent.

Brilliant food & place! The best atmosphere and service, Louise was outstanding - all the staff were fab tbh.

Sat in the garden as we had a dog with us. Super dog friendly and loved the idea of patio heaters and blankets readily available. Great atmosphere

Very nice traditional pub!! Cosy, and good selection of beers. Food looked good although only had a beer.

The star of the show is the Jigger Inn. My wife and I went on Sat 7th Jan evening, after finding St Andrews extremely quiet and not much happening, only to find a very warm and friendly place for us to spend a couple of hours. We had no plans to eat but after seeing and smelling some delicious offerings appear from the kitchen, we plumped for the Cullin & Skink and the Fish and Chips. Not only was this the cheapest food (Rusacks jeez) but by far the tastiest also. The staff were caring and attentive and by the time we left, we were kicking ourselves for not staying at the Old Course hotel during our visit. I gave 5/5, only wish I could have awarded them more. All three staff on the Sat evening shift were a fabulous statement for the company.

Very friendly little pub with great range of beers & spirits You can't come to St Andrews & not pop into the iconic Jigger Inn for a little refreshment.

Went tonight and was met with the most rude barman i ever met , they where closing soon and we only went in for one drink and they wouldn't except cash as payment and made us feel so uncomfortable and unwelcome and embarrassed as i had no cards with me and our friends had to pay so needless to say we won't be returning there for the remainder of our stay in St Andrews.

Great hospitality, food is overpriced for what it is

Had the most incredible time there this weekend! The staff was incredibly accommodating and friendly. A special shout out to Bart and Marta and the rest of the crew who made our visit there the most memorable, fun and wonderful during the trip to St Andrews. The food was truly delicious (especially the haddock soup!). 100% recommend and we’re already looking forward to coming back one day.
