Great place to warm after winter golf. Service was warm and friendly. I had the wild mushroom on toast fresh and yummy. Love it. Do make the stop

We visit here regular even if just for a coffee staff are really good atmosphere is always good usually someone there to have a natter to!!!!friendly place to go food is very good as well.

Staff very pleasant and welcoming, we opted for the Cullen Skink and it was full of flavour, plenty of potatoes and various fish cuts. Fair on price for location.

Very disappointed in food. Both had fish and chips. So greasy and over done. Asked if I could have peas with mine as you do for a fish supper and was told no! The table next to us also said the same about their meal - over done and greasy. 2 main meals and 2 drinks £70! I don’t grudge paying for a meal when I enjoy it however sorry to say you get better fish and chips in the main town Stayed in the main hotel which is beautiful however this really lets the establishment down I would not recommend If you read other reviews management need to review the quality of food and service there’s a lot of other better places to spend your money Shame as could be a fabulous wee place

Great place to grab food and drink right next to the old course

I really like the ambiance but the food is not that great. We had the fish & chips this time. Chips were fat frozen chips and the small piece of fish was stuck on top of the chips. No veg with it. The batter was soggy and the fish inside was a bit dry. It was just ok but would not have it again. It was a Wednesday night so perhaps they have different chefs in different nights. The place itself is a nice , cosy wee bar and the staff were really lovely.

Nothing beats the Jigger Inn's own Scotch Ale- a must try

Absolutely wonderful spot for food and drink in St. Andrews. The staff was so incredibly friendly and fun, especially "Jimbo."

Staff were really helpfull and so friendly and welcoming. Thought the dishes were a bit limited and nothing special. Chicked burger was pretty poor, especially for the price, dry and not very tasty. Beefburger overall not great but tasty on its own. Overall a big dissapointment for the food. £154 for 4 burgers and 2 desserts and a few drinks. Dessert was a big dissapointment. Basically plum jam with a spoonfull of Muslie on top

Cosy atmosphere when not being told off by the manager for not making a reservation… good food - the mushroom on roast was nice and my mum loved the cullen skink. Crime they dont allow dogs though.

Staffs were friendly, made us feel welcome. Food was lovely, and it’s a cosy little restaurant. Christmas decorations is beautiful and felt homely. Shame no pets allowed inside the restaurant. And our table was very small. But it was good.

Lively bar next to the Old Course in St Andrews. Expect to hear a lot of golf-related conversations! I had Caesar salad and salmon, both of which were very good, and served promptly by friendly staff. Has outside seating, which seemed very popular.

A must visit. Quaint pub adjacent to the 17th fairway of The Old Course at St. Andrews. If you sit outside, you are basically on the 17th hole. Good food and drink too!

Very nice and peaceful. Welcoming but small so not good for any wheelchair or children buggy. Tables small but not clustered. Food great and portions amazing staff polite but some seem stressed out which did reverberate to customers and noticed

Great themed pub at an iconic golf course. Situated alongside the famous Road Hole (17th Fairway). Decor, atmosphere was authentic with many pictures and paintings showing the history and legends of golf. Had a reservation for four but place wasn’t busy. Staff were very welcoming, professional, attentive and should be commended for their work ethic. Entire place was clean including the restrooms. We ordered 2 fish and chips, 1 fish with onion rings, 1 burger, cokes and tea. The chips on the fish and burger were a mixture of fresh and old from previous frying. The fish itself was tasty and cooked well, batter was light and airy but with no taste and could have been better drained of oil. Burger was fine but nothing special. Prices are steep but expected due to the location. Not overly impressed but not put off returning with other golfing enthusiasts.

Always enjoy the jigger however on my last visit I noticed drink prices were a bit more expensive a bottle of cider and a medium glass of rosie £15.50

We are regular visitors to the Jigger. Absolutely love this place for service, cleanliness, food quality and that dogs are allowed outside. Had lunch this Sunday just gone. You've knocked it out the park again and Seffanie (I think that was the spelling) is another quality member of staff. Perfect professionalism mixed with ability to engage whilst thinking 3/4 steps ahead. Just wished we lived round the corner. Chicken curry was beautiful.

I think it's owned by the big hotel now prices have shot up, very expensive for a lunch better up the town for value

Small but pleasant. Mainly outside space with heaters & lots of American. Bar staff ignored us initially but were ok afterwards. Good spot to watch some (bad) golfers.

It is one of the most unique Pubs in the world. The view is so beautiful. It is next to the oldest Golf course in the world, St. Andrews Old Course. While you can see outside you can watch the golf tournament and drink you scotch. The staff are fantastic and treat you as if they have known you for years. It has food but it is just pub food. You feel so comfortable and content you just do not want to leave.

Great place as an alternative to the popular Dunvegan. Has a terrace alongside the road hole 17 with a fantastic view of the fairway. Probably the best bar to enjoy the Old Course.

Fantastic food, outstanding service and great ambience. Staff are excellent and attentive in every way. Special mention to Bart, who went above and beyond to ensure our group were well taken care of. Bart was exceptional. A must “go to” if you’re in St Andrews.

Excellent ! Was the food a bit pricey ? Sure. But I would imagine that’s to be expected at the most famous golf course in the world. The food was excellent - had the burger and the fish and chips. Both great. I personally say get the fish and chips. The wait staff were very attentive and checked on us frequently. And again - you can’t beat the view when you sit outside (which you should).

We went here on a recommendation from a local tour guide for the ambiance (overlooking the old course) and for, purportedly, the best fish and chips in England. The fish and chips were quite good, albeit very oily / heavy and it was wonderful sitting outside.

I booked two months in advance and was a bit disappointed. Our food had a hair, and the waiter insinuated that it could be ours. 🙄 and after that it was just not fun!

I can't possibly say enough good things about this place. It was our first stop when getting into St. Andrews. We got to sit outside(first come, first serve seating and sit at your own risk) and enjoy the views. But definitely keep your head on the swivel!!! The blind tee shots hit from the 17th tee are known to venture their way over into the patio area. My husband and I almost got hit by one. But, the atmosphere is electric and so worth taking that risk...for us at least. The service and food were incredible. We kept it light with a side order of Chunky Chips to split, a bowl of Cullen Skink, a Diet Coke, and a glass of Sauvignon Blanc. It was all delicious and we enjoyed every bite! Thank you to the whole staff for helping us make these unforgettable memories.

The Jigger Inn in St Andrews is a charming, historic pub with a cosy atmosphere. It offers a great selection of ales and hearty, traditional Scottish food. Perfect spot for a drink after a round of golf or a relaxing meal. Possibly the best pub in Scotland and definitely the best 19th hole in golf.

Jigger Pub. Excellent spot with views over the Old Course 17th fairway at the home of golf in StAndrews. For a special treat we have visited many times over the last several years. This year, during the women’s open in July we manage to get a table in the outside area. Again, excellent views and service. The food however was poor quality. I had a Anster cheese and pickle sandwich, that consisted of a very small piece of cheese n pickle, which was poorly presented with a small portion of crisps. Popped in for a drink with friends. Got the distinct impression that staff wanted food sales and not us hogging the table with drinks only. About 5pm we were asked to drink up because they wanted the table

The Jigger Inn is Iconic as it sits along the Old Course famous 17th hole. Great view of the drives and approach shots to 17. The service, food and drink were all excellent. If you visit St Andrew’s, you have to stop for One!

Attended The Jigger Inn for my auntie's wake and they did her proud 👏. The team were really friendly and the food that was put on was phenomenal 👌. Great place, always has been and couldn't think of a better place to say our goodbyes to my aunty.

Spectacular experience sitting along the Road Hole on the Old Course with a pint! Blankets and heaters on the patio were a welcome addition on a cold, wet July day.

A fantastic view whilst you dine/ drink. We went there during our short break to St Andrews and would definitely visit the Jigger Inn again. The food was delicious, especially the desserts. The staff were so friendly and attentive, and without needing to be asked, they immediately brought over a bowl of water when they saw we had our puppy with us (dogs allowed outside). Wish we had had more time to visit again before our trip ended.

Come and sit in the beer garden and watch the approach shots for the 17th hole at the old course. Try the Jigger ale. You won’t be disappointed.

Great pub food! I enjoyed the fish and chips and the charred broccoli (which seems random for a pub but was really good).

We came in late from a long and fun day of golf, hungry and worried they were closing. The service was amazing and the food was excellent. The salmon was the best my daughter has had, the burgers were excellent, and I think the fish & chips may have been my best ever. The staff was incredibly welcoming and friendly, even while busy. Hope we get back to St Andrews soon.

Dined here with family. The Jigger Inn has nice food, scenery, and atmosphere. But it is expensive, very overpriced for what you get. £7.20 for a pint!! The staff were pleasant enough, it has lovely decor inside and is clean, and it's within lovely surroundings, but we just felt that it was vastly overpriced and did not offer value for money whatsoever. We wouldn't return on that basis I'm afraid.

The location is amazing overlooking the 17the hole on the Old course! It feels like it should be a cosy old fashioned pub but in reality its a very pricy theme pub pretending to be traditional old scots. Great for the views of the golf course though

Ok service, planned for lunch but served undrinkable pint of ‘jigger’ so made a swift exit. Beware of the beer!!!!

The venue is a traditional pub like inside . But food is several points above pub grub. We had booked in advance which was not straight forward via the old couse hotel as its bolted on the end of the hotel.

Liked it but a little disappointed that we couldn't sit inside. Impromptu visit so I suggest booking if you want to visit. Decent pint and great views over the Old & New Courses.

We enjoyed our lunch. Food was good and service efficient. It was pricey for what we had including the drinks. They are on a winner as golfers want to go there do they can charge.

Great lunch and pint after a tour of St Andrews. My favorite beer in the world is the Jigger Ale and I've now had it at Jigger Inn and Horse & Plow in Kohler, WI.

Considering the location would have expected more seasonal local produce....the menu was usual not very local stuff....Scotch Broth would have been preferable to chic pea tomato whatever...although the Cullen Skink was delicious..,Jigger Ale VG... furniture was made for Hobbits...overall OK

A famous old place. Part of the wonderful Old Course Hotel. I'd recommend dining or dtinking in the OCH itself as you're paying 5 star prices for fare you'd get in many other pubs like the Jigger Inn but cheaper and with more indoor space

We were here for a drink. The ambience is very nice and the service was excellent. It is very quaint, but very well maintained and chic. Even if you don't play golf, you can sit here very nicely. It's a little hidden next to the hotel. The sanitary rooms were very pleasantly clean and smelled very hygienic. I can't rate the food because we only ordered drinks. However, the food that was brought to the other tables looked very good.

Quick lunch - Pub full but we’re accommodated outside. Food was great, blankets provided for outside in the cold. Staff were great, Tom was very good to us 👍
