We have just come back from having afternoon tea here today and I cannot thank Val enough. We received a warm welcome, the food was amazing and I am gluten free and felt completely in safe hands with lovely food. Val provide food and gifts for my grandchildren and our friends grandchildren and nothing was too much for her. We are planning a return visit soon, next time child free and with Prosecco-thank you Val for your attentive and caring service.

Visited twice during a 6 week period in 2019 and had different meals each time. We returned to see if we had got something wrong however this turned out not to be the case. What food we had was enjoyable however there simply was not enough of it to justify the spend - therefore it can be deemed as expensive for what we had. The staff are nice and the place itself also nice however just wish it was better value for money than was found. Drinks are also overpriced. As an example, a dessert mousse which I though would be quite rich and in abundance left me wanting for more as there was simply an inch in a glass with more oaty toppings than mousse and in a couple of small spoons it was gone. It would have been nice to have more for the money. Maybe the name Bistro gives it away and should have realised that we were only going to get "Pretty food" and not wholesome filling food but we live and learn. Doubt we would return for a third time sadly. UPDATE AUGUST 2022 THE BRIDGE BISTRO IS NO LONGER OPEN OR TRADING

If you ever wanted a cold, overcooked English breakfast this is THE place! Cremated sausages with all the texture of a house brick, flacid back bacon, cold mushroom and tomato - need I go on? All-in-all a lamentable effort delivered in an environment that had all the charm of a Premier Inn.

Have been visiting Cromer many many times over the years but had never found this gem before. Was made to feel welcome as soon as we set foot in the building - very personable and friendly. Food was amazing with many ingredients home grown. The venison and chorizo stew to share was out of this world. They were also very patient with young diners - offered a children’s menu too. Already planning our return.

Had dinner with family here at the weekend. Internally the pub/restaurant is very nice warm and welcoming. Menu looks good and prices are fine if the quality of food matches the price.Unfortunately we did not find that to be the case. Its certainly not Michelin standard in my view. Portion sizes particularly starters and desserts are small. Two of my party wanted to try the ice creams for dessert.....a scoop is £3 which is pretty average but the scoop was not much more than teaspoon sizes, smallest we have ever seen. The mains were ok but nothing very special. Overall it was nice and thats being kind. Would we go back.....no.

Brilliant Sunday roast as ever. Arguably the best fish and chips in town, amongst many other menu options, all cooked on site. Dedicated restaurant area, separate dog friendly area for diners and a bar area where all can eat and drink also. This place has been called Sandow's hidden gem.... and how right that is.

after reading the negative reviews i was not expecting anything good but i was really suprised.as soon as we walked in we were asked if we wanted to sit inside or out,we chose inside as it was mizzeling out.we sat down and within 2 minutes a waitress came over and asked us what we would like to eat and drink,so we ordered.our drinks came within 2 mins and our food came 5 mins after that.i don't know where other people were eating but it could not have been here.good food/good staff, all in all a great experiance.we will be coming back soon.next time we will take some piccies and post them online.thanks a lot and see you soon.
