My wife and I visit here quite often and for a garden centre eatery it is no more than average. The staff are pleasant but still lack any sense of urgency or capacity react when bottlenecks start building up although there is an older lady behind the salad bar/pizza area who is excellent. The food is quite good, filled rolls are expensive but the bread is good and the fillings generous. The salad bar is good value and if you arrive before 1.30 has a good choice of items. The cooked food offers pizza cooked to order or several hot choises like pork loin, fish and chips, ribs, casserole etc. These are reasonable value especially the pensioners deal. The food that we have had has been well presented and reasonably tasty.

Popped in for breakfast, was immediately with a friendly smile. The food was really tasty, fresh and loved the tea with warm milk-just as I like it . All in all, loved the experience.

£50 total bill for 4. Never had a problem with the food. I went yesterday to celebrate a light lunch with 4x family members , when I was visiting in Gosport . I did not have the salad 🥗with my meal 🍽️ I was fine. Today I rang up said elderly family members..they were up all night with upset tummies.:( Not sure what the hygiene rating is! It needs to be reassessed. Will ring and say. To see what they say:) Hopefully 🙏 it will introduce more mindfulness in preparing the salads 🥗 Kind regards. A Lovely place to sit ℹ for a view of the beach 🏖️ & have a ice cream & a lovely walk 🚶 🚶♀️

I was here for an afternoon tea gathering for a large group of persons and I was SO disapppinted with the food and the service. The vegetarian tea had incredibly poor choices. I have had many vegetarian afternoon teas in the north east of England and this was the worst by a long way. Service was also very poor. The setting of this hotel is magnificent but the food and service was well below what you would expect from a hotel of this advertised quality.

The bar has a sign outside offering Amstel beer at £3.49 and Fosters at £4.49 but I went in and asked for those beers and they said both offers were off and the cheapest pint was £5.10! They are just baiting people with offers to get them inside. I walked out. Very poor.

After a late-morning visit to a local cinema, it was well-gone 14:00 when the film ended. We were hungry for a snack lunch and wanted something quick, and nearby. This branch of M&S (with a café) is only a short drive from the cinema. We were able to park easily in the capacious carpark (maybe ‘carpacious’). So, we were soon ordering two smoked-bacon sourdough rolls each with a large cup of Americano Coffee (with hot milk). The ‘Senior Barista’ offered us miniscule jugs of hot milk, not even enough to make a small coffee suit. So, we asked her if the hot milk could be poured directly into our cups, and this was done. I did get the distinct impression that the lady in question seemed not particularly happy to oblige us. Certainly the quantity of milk, we did have, would have easily filled six of the ‘miniscule’ jugs. Maybe there was a cost implication? We would, however, have been happy to pay extra. Food is cooked-to-order and delivered to tables, so were given a tall plastic sign (like a single-fold birthday card) to display on our table with a number ‘26’ on it. This just would not stand-up, and I had to bend the sign along the fold to narrow the angle to make it do so. Our coffee was not-so-great; it lacked the bitter caramel flavour that we look for. Do not assume that was due to the quantity of milk; as we have similar ratios of milk to coffee at home and in other cafés, without losing the flavours we look for. Our bacon rolls were great; hot, plenty of good smoked-bacon, and a fresh sourdough bun. Just what we wanted, especially as we had found-out where the brown sauce sachets were kept (by the kitchen servery).

We came for a quick lunch and ordered a sandwich and a salad. After paying for this we were told there was no forks for the salad and there was nothing they could do. If we had know this we wouldn’t have ordered. The staff were very dismissive of the problem, offering no help or solution. Shocking from the manager on shift

My older wife raves about Tebay and it’s soft southern cousin Gloucester services , but as she had refused to leave the log burner for the last two weeks ,I became the alpha decision maker and so Killington Lake became my Xanadu. What a view! If God made a motorway services based on views rather than access to motorways he (He/she/they- still confused by pronouns ) would have poured this lake into this heavenly moorland area . Costa and MacDonalds all to hand and small shop with other foods such as Scotch eggs and pasties for those wanting a healthier snack . Loos handy and clean and as I stayed so long looking at the view I used them twice ,always a good sign. Blackheaded gulls frequent the lake if you are a Bill Oddie fan. I will go again if southbound M6 south of Carlisle (san Mrs G).Fingers crossed eh! Lol 😂

Been in this store a few times now and never actually left with anything, they never have any of the items on the menu they don’t take cash, they’re never open in the morning so a breakfast sub is off the cards, no drinks last time I was In only the one type of bread, the manager of this store is a terrible business owner and I guess subway doesn’t actually know how this store is ran, I’ve been to a lot of subways and this is definitely one I would never return to its pretty much put me off getting a subway from anywhere again

Gracias Angela.
