Cafe Morrisons in St. Helens

Don't be fooled...kids don't eat free. Bought full breakfast so children could eat free and then was charge for small sausage sandwich and a bowl of beans £4.25 for children. Should provide a list for children to choose from. Very rude staff and very dirty cutlery. Will not go again.

Discusting service and food Went in at lunch time not many people in the cafe after 10 minuites and more than once had to ask for service Had to ask for clean cups as all the cups were filthy the attitude from member of staff Discusting asked again for a clean cup got told she was busy with next customer she or somebody heard us say well just ask for the manager who as if by magic appeared made the excuse the bleech tube in the dish washer wasn't working I said you still shouldn't have dirty cups Finally somebody came with clean cups Then the Food came out omelette was like rubber and my toasted sandwich black asked for a new one when it came was told oh well second time lucky Asked to speak to store manager who was lovkey she couldn't apologise enough gave us a refund and £10 voucher All we really wanted was cup of coffee in a clean cup and a bit of lunch We did see the manager speaking to staff Let's see if anything happens

Ordered food waited 30 minutes with not a lot of customers also waiting for food, couldn’t wait any longer and gave my ticket to another customer never again will I eat at this horrible place not managed very well to say the least place is not very nice

Went to morrisons baxters lane sutton st helens today Saturday 23rd September 2023 with money bags with total of £100 to exchange in coin machine .when I got the receipt to take to till it said that there was only £85.64 total what a rip off so be aware when putting your money /coins into this machine.

Staff are ignorant beyond believe, no eye contact, no smile I had my one year old granddaughter with me who kept saying hiya! Never even looked at her never mind reply. I find Morriston cafe is the worse place in st.helens the staff need some serious customer service training.

Called in at lunch time on 14th July Plenty of free tables and most had been cleared and cleaned Touch screen ordering was easy to navigate and pay Food delivered to table promptly by a pleasant friendly chap. Portion size was adequate and quality was good Will return.

Popped into the cafe for lunch today with my son & used the self order screen. Waited approx 25 minutes to be served. The food & service wasn't great. Had to ask for our drinks only to be told it was self service. Had to change the mug as the first one I selected was dirty. Then asked for our desserts only to be told they didn't have any chocolate brownies. Showed my receipt & had to ask for an alternative. Apparently the self service till doesn't reflect actual stock. Disappointed & won't be visiting again anytime soon.

Waited for more than half hour for food, the place was empty,,, food come out wrong,,, dirty plates and cups,, disgusting, manager couldn't apologise enough,,, it seriously needs sorting out,, the menu is rubbish too

I was driving my daughter up to Edge Hill University for an interview and we needed to stop off somewhere for breakfast en-route. As St. Helens is my hometown I'd thought of stopping at the McDonalds off the Linkway but then decided a proper breakfast might be required and headed for Morrisons instead. I'd heard of their Big Daddy Breakfast before but hadn't specifically gone there to try one (my local Morrisons is a small one without a cafe so I'd never had the opportunity before). I decided to rise the challenge whilst my daughter just stuck with a Big Breakfast. We both ordered coffee which comes as unlimited refills courtesy of a machine, but the latte was perfectly fine (or I should say lattes, if you're offered free refills it would be rude to say no!). The Big Daddy includes 3 x sausages, 3 x bacon, 3 x hash browns, 2 x eggs, 2 x black pudding, fried bread, beans, mushrooms and tomato. I have a couple of quibbles, firstly you get offered a choice of fried, poached or scrambled eggs and I chose poached but the eggs I was served looks far more like fried to me, although they at least had runny yolks to dip my sausages in. Secondly I was asked what type of toast I'd liked and asked for white. It wasn't clear that toast was an optional extra that you pay for and I had really thought it through I could have given it a miss given that the breakfast already includes fried bread. Maybe a better option would be to offer a choice of either fried bread or toast? All in all it was a decent breakfast. The food arrived pretty quickly, there were plenty of tables to choose from, it was clean and being in a supermarket parking was an absolute doddle.

Lovely cooked breakfast here and it doesnt break the bank me and the wife usually visit here as often as we can

We used to get breakfast here all the time but it has got worse and worse. The final straw was last time we went in. There was no clean cups no sugar or milk no knives and forks and nearly every table was piled high with dirty dishes. Only 2 girls working that didn’t have a rush in them. Then again what can you expect when the woman who we assumed is the manager ( all in white ) seems to do nothin except straighten bottles in the fridge and chat to customers. We were there over 40 mins and she did nothing the whole time. Made a complaint about the state of the place but as usual nothing will be done. I can guarantee we won’t be eating or shopping there again!

Never get exactly what we order, even something as simple as scampi chips and MUSHY PEAS, comes out with garden peas every time, even though we stress as we order it and then again we repeat it prior to paying, have to search for a clean cup in the mass of dirty ones on the counter, cutlery if there is always filthy and never any serviettes, today young girl gave me two shredded pieces of kitchen roll that she’d pulled off for me (kitchen roll must come out of her wages and that’s why she was so frugal with it🤪) oh and the £1 difference between a full and mini scampi and chips is one extra piece of scampi, I think it’s the last time I’ll eat there as it’s had long enough to pull its pants up and it’s still failing. Badly done 😬

Waited 40 minutes for two 'big' breakfasts. On arrival it looked as if someone had swilled cooking oil over the plate and the white anemic bacon was literally swimming in 5 mm of the stuff. Every undercooked bar the plastic egg and dried out bullet beans. On refund I noticed that the meals were missing sausages. Should be closed down.

The ham, egg and chips were excellent. Even more excellent was the service because the waitress went to a lot of trouble to try to find my friends who I should have been meeting. She even telephoned a different branch in the town to find out if they were there, and she brought me another cup of tea whilst I was waiting.

Popped in for breakfast. Pleasant staff and good value but cheap sausage and bacon. Fried egg was cremated. Disappointing overall.

Love the breakfast at Morrison’s. It is just enough and a great way to start or end your weekly shop. It is reasonably priced and the coffee is good too. Friendly staff and brought hot to your table.

Asked for scrambled eggs, told we only have fried as they are delivered ready cooked and we have run out of scrambled eggs, there was me, thinking they were cooked on the premises. Awful.

Called in after shopping and ordered breakfast for two. The cafe was by no means busy with probably only a third of the tables occupied. Placed our order and had a cup of tea while waiting for our food. 20 mins passed 30,40 50... When it got to an hour I went to the cash desk to ask for my moneyback. There were 3 other people waiting for the same.. Pathetic excuse of a cafe. Would have been quicker to buy the ingredients and cook my own. Obviously cant critique the food but the tea was decidedly average at best. We checked through several dirty cups before finding ones we could use. Wont be returning..

Food is gorgeous every time we eat here, great value for money and such a variety of food to choose from too.

No puedo cocinar incluso un huevo frito correctamente, si la persona es un cocinero de cocina o un chef que dudo, envié el huevo de vuelta la primera vez como la yema era difícil y esto es lo que recibimos a cambio! ! ! Otra de huevos con una yema dura, esta persona no puede cocinar un huevo. Probablemente este fin de semana y volver a mantener enviándolo de regreso hasta que tenga mi comida cocinada correctamente. No era como si estaba tan lleno! ! !

El café es grande, luminoso y el servicio es la más rápida de todos los Morrisons que hemos estado.

Visited a few times a month. Only once or twice have we had a bad meal, inexpensive and clean. Food cooked to order so on busy days can take a bit of time to get food but never a huge wait.

We visited a couple of days ago. Staff not attentive Quality poor and when we said we wanted to complain no one came to see us! Dreadful and a waste of our time for breakfast sadly.

Cafe is bright and airy,you can have a job to find a table at times because its so busy at lunchtimes. The food is freshly made,piping hot,tasty and reasonably priced,you can get everything from a snack to a full lunch,would recommend!

Last time I came to Morrisons baxters lane cafe with my son we sat around for 75 mins and still never got fed. We walked out with a full refund. Came again for a second time hoping that the first time was a one off, 20 minutes wait (good compared to last time) but customer service is poor and food was terrible especially the bacon! Like microwaved cardboard. £11+ for me a breakfast and a coffee and my son chicken nuggets meal. When I asked if I can swap two items on my breakfast I got a huff and puff and an extra charge, then when I asked if my son could have a different drink instead of the only orange juice or apple juice option, even if it meant an extra charge I was told 'no stick to the menu' won't be coming here again just to get annoyed. Rubbish cafe. Go to a local one, anyone would be much better!

Fuimos para el desayuno, por dónde empezar. El pan frito era blanca y sólo una sólida pieza final de un pan bañado en grasa. El huevo frito era sólido, el resto del desayuno no era especialmente o un. No hay nadie atendía el hasta que pegan su cabeza en la cocina y grita para que alguien venga a servir. ¡Nunca más!

Los desayunos son increíbles. Siempre nos dan el desayuno grande como su muuuy agradable pero nunca puedo terminar, ya que es bastante grande. Servicio de atención al cliente siempre amable.

Normalmente nos tomamos nietos después de la escuela, los niños comen gratis con un adulto que les encanta que les dan un paquete de comida y bebida de frutas no muy concurrida.

You can't beat the Morrisons cafe for good value. The food is all cooked to order & comes out pretty quickly. Staff are nice & friendly too

For years it was on my bucket list to try eggs Benedict nobody in St Helens do it finally Morrison's came up with it thank you it exceeded my expectations

Visited Morrison's cafeteria for breakfast very disappointed bacon butty fatty black pudding was rock hard tomatoes was un edible when we told the girl on the till she gave us a dirty look never again Morrison's

Whether it a a breakfast or sandwich or just a cake and a quick drink this is the place for you! Meals served hot and quickly and always busy.

Great food and drinks they always try there best to get your food to you as fast as possible staff try hard to keep the cafe clean and tidy and they are very pleasant to talk to would recommend you ty this experience in full

What can you say it's what it says on the tin. The food is very nice and well presented and cooked well. Me and the wife attended for a breakfast and was really nice. Nice way to shop with a little food in you. Nice selection of sandwiches and cooked food and is very nice and not to expensive.

I always ask for pie, they never have any. Not once do they bother going into the store to get one. Quite often have to wait ages for food, then its either cold or wrong. Stay away !

Following the same pattern and menu as all Morrison Cafes ..... this one is one of the super large cafes. Because it is set just a little outside the centre of town it can be a little quiet ...... good news for some as the waiting time for food (which is normally a Morrison criticism) is super quick.We had the Fish and Chips ..... superb with mushy peas and after 3pm, two main meals for £9 with free drinks ...... very recommended.
