Called in to see a old mate, had a couple of beers. Very busy...

Good selection of beers and food is ok.

Arrived about 11.30am. But lots of people in. Food arrived nicely. Nothing really to dislike about this place. Nice and clean. Another long upstairs walk to the toilets. Loving that all the hot drinks are refillable. My husband has 2 pints at 1.99 each and I had 3 coffees. Hot drinks a lot cheaper than Widnes.

Over cooed food, I had the 3 selection, pizza burnt, chicken over cooked and chips and curry cold, once bitten twice shy, I'll never eat here again until there's a new cook.

OK for food but full of the older alcohol living folk

Called in for breakfast. Great prices and nice food. Unlimited coffee/tea refills. Well worth a visit.

Toilets hadn’t been checked in 3 hours ( they are supposed to be checked every hour , Wee on floor , not been mopped , toilet roll nearly run out .

We usually go in on a wednesday lunchtime, table service if you have the app which saves a lot of queuing up, food is nice but nothing special and the staff are always friendly. The gents can be like wading through a swamp at times but you won't find cheaper beer round St Helens, 2 pints for £4.42

On arrival the barmaid said the food would be a 20 minute wait, the place was half full but we decided to eat, at the drinks station there wasn’t any tea bags so I asked a waitress who said just a minute, then another waiter with blonde hair said they’re at the back, I said no it’s empty but he decided to look himself and then said I’ll go downstairs, he walked past me a couple more times before he remembered to get them, 10 minutes later we had tea, the breakfast arrived without butter for the. Toast, so I asked the lady behind the bar who immediately brought some over, the beans and the bacon were cold and we sat next to four me. Who introduced us to some swear words we hadn’t heard since walking past a building site, at least I had an old alcoholic opposite drinking a pint to make sure I ate my meal. All for under £10 pounds , robbed!!!

Lovely hot food.. comfy place too.

Ordered a mixed grill and it came out cremated! It should never of left the kitchen it was that bad!

Friendly vibe in there, food was good and came fairly quickly. It was moderately busy, but the food was still quick and good

Standard spoons fayre. Unfortunately, the food comes on cold plates, so it doesn't stay warm for long. Otherwise, it's a pleasant pub Whether it's due to sales volumes, I cant comment, but it's disappointing that half of the daft pumps are not actually serving but are labelled "coming soon"

I got drink then went to toilet I saw they cleaned the table and drinks was gone

Absolutely outraged by the staff here today on valentines of all days . Came here with a loved one the mrs got spoken to terribly and refused to give our money back. Never again will we come back to this horrific establishment!!

This place never gets any better 😡 Saturday 8th February, as always no clear tables full of dirty dishes and empty glasses 2 staff on duty and the pub was chocker , there were no glasses to serve drinks then no food then no cash machines had to pay in cash , something definitely needs sorting in this once great place

Dirty tables we had to clear are selves, and it wasn't busy at all.

Seems now to have made major improvements in the number of staff. You can get served much faster. The food is much better and cooked thoroughly.

Visited late afternoon for a meal with my daughter. Pub was busy but we found a table. Couldn't get the app to work so ordered at the bar. There was a little bit of a queue but it soon went down. Food was delivered to our table quickly and was tasty as usual for a Wetherspoons. Visited the toilets which were clean.

Got the gourmet steak an the grill marks on it were turned to carbon if i wanted a diamond i would of gone the jewellers. Absolutely disgusting. Should of gone to maccies instead.

Called in for an evening meal with our friend. Food was served quickly, meals looked and tasted great. Only disappointment was they forgot to serve our drinks with our meals. But staff apologised and all was sorted.

Mixed grill was rock hard and one staff member was lingering round to clean plates away why still sat at the table

The food can be good or not good I had a hair on my chips one day they said it's from the sauce I didn't even have any sauce on my burger I just left the meal and went out

Not a massive fan and it's so small

Took the mother out for a treat and Food wasn't the best , gammon was like a thin layer of bacon and food was just warm.

Just don't think they can cook burgers always over cooked,had a lot of meals here and only had one are two that are editable, we've decided to only go for a drink there now and eat somewhere else

Love wetherspoons, but this has to be the worst one ever, tables packed far to close together , only 2 or 3 guests Ale's on and the rest marked up as --coming soon--alot of time they never arrive, the staff are generally good except for 2 of them, they are so miserable it's obvious that they hate there job's I much prefer the watchmaker in Prescot or the nine arches in Earlestown or any other wetherspoons

Genuinely surprised by this 'Spoons'. The first notable thing was the cleanliness and lack of sticky carpets or worn furniture. Then, the clientele. My visit was early evening, and the bar seemed largely populated by older folk pleasantly enjoying their evening meal or conversation, giving a very relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Service was courteous and reasonably swift. The beer was excellent, and there were no stale lines here. The food was only typical of what you would expect.

The food Was cold and burnt pizza and my wife chicken burger Was Watery

Great service, friendly staff and lovely atmosphere. However, have to change 2 forks because it was not cleaned properly, there was dry bits of food still on the forks. Wasn't keen on the strawberry daiquiri we had. It was far too strong to drink and the menus were very sticky, it needed wiping desperately.

we has just dropped our car off for a service and we decided to walk into St Helens town center while we where waiting for the garage we visited here for a coffee break as always the staff are friendly you can always get good food and drink

Was a nice set up with lots of booths. Food came quick! Food was nice and generous servings. My son hated the pizza. We had the mixed grill which was nice. Staff OK. Table dirty and wasn't cleaned before food came. Staff didn't bother with that.

Typical wetherspoons always busy but staff do well and beers (real ale) when on great for price paid, on a lot of the pumps ( it says coming next) , most of the time, it probably does .

Zero common sense behind the bar aswell as the manager. Turning 26 and full off tattoos yet was refused serviced as I didn’t have ID, even though I shown my passport and driving license. When will common sense prevail.

I ordered the traditional breakfast with extra hash brown and hot drinks. The bacon was well cooked, but so was the egg. The baked beans were cold, the rest of the breakfast was fine. I complained about the cold beans, and 5 minutes later was given another portion. These beans were lukewarm. Could do better.

Among the Weatherspoon spots I have been to, this is our favourite. The food is served hot and fresh. Kudos to the chef, he makes so much effort in the dishes.

Tables piled high with empty glasses and plates in the late afternoon we went . Beer was ok. Lad serving didn't know how to sell vouchers and said come back later, which was odd.

Could give us something better then a steak knife to cut pizza that was hard enough withe bowl like plate it came on

Busy at lunch time, although food and drinks were prompt though the app. It was surprisingly quieter when we came back after the theatre.

Food is overcooked. Service is poor but this does depend on the day. It’s better when Nathan is on he’s very polite and friendly. My daughter youse to work in this Witherspoon and the team on then was very friendly and polite and always asked if you are enjoying your meal. And the tables was always clean now you go in and it’s like no one is bothered how it looks the tables are rammed with food and empty glass. The only good thing about the glass house is the cheep drink. Because the staff are absolutely atrocious

Great service. Decent food (American breakfast, coffee & later extra toast n jam). Plummed for a beer later. Really nice Spoons this. Dead nice inside and plenty of nice places. Enjoyed it & definitely going back.

Havnt been to this wetherspoons before, it's a nice relaxed pub, friendly staff, the burgers have defo gone smaller over the years, not as value for money as they use to be, nice real ales though at good prices

As far as Wetherspoons go, it's a decent little bar in a central location.

Good Guinness and fast service on a bottle of wine. Chicken bites tasty.

Comfortable pub, called in today,, young lady cleared tables and disinfecting each on regular basis, use this pub regularly and have noticed that the womens toilets are gradually getting worse and worse, two cubicles have been out of order for a while now, and cubicle floors dirty, together with sink drains filthy,

Food is really nice here and staff r mostly friendly too

Wheelchair access is through the doors at the back of the building which can only be opened from the inside. Have to hope one of the customers see you and let you in. Then you have to use a lift (if it is working) to get to the bar.

I had the hallumi wrap with chips, it was really nice, just the right amount for dinner time. The glass house was quite full but we still got served in 10 minutes. The staff were very helpful

Stopped in St Helens for breakfast and The Glass House caught our eye. The breakfast was quick to arrive and cooked to perfection. We couldn't have been happier with the food or the service. Sometimes Wetherspoons gets a bad name but this one is that proves you shouldn't judge a book by its cover. Clean, tidy and very tasty grub.

Has gone downhill over the past year or two and wasn't that great to begin with, food is ok, but not the best also has gone up in price and for what you get, not really worth it, the atmosphere is poor, just news or sports on the TV really low, or no sound at all, mostly filled with middle aged men drinking, only reason I go there now is because the drinks are still relatively cheap but that's about it

Well just overall low in Mood, Customer's Spread around, Didn't Have a Great Atmosphere, Staff Chatting, Before I Had To Walk Around The Bar To Place My Order, "Find Somewhere To Sit And The Young Lady Said That She Would Take My Order.......Was Going To Leave, I'd like a Drink 1st Please, I Asked, Still Chatting, I Asked Again.........Drink Came with Ice,Which I Did Ask For No Ice. ........Still Chatting Across The Bar, Asked To Open My Table, With My Debit Card,, I'll Need To Swipe It With A Attitude, Still Chatting, I Paid Cash And Removed My Ice, The Young Lady, Walked Back To Chatting, Drank Half Of My Drink. (And Left The Premises) Never To RETURN.......

Love this spoons. Manager is lovely and all the staff are so attentive. Food is gorgeous and very cheap- especially for students such as myself.

Poor service today, over 50 minutes for food, staff behind the bar didn't have any idea what was going on regards how long orders would take, hopefully just a bad day.....

Great place friendly staff and never wait too long for the food.

Unfortunately the bar server was alone when we ordered coffee, so it took nearly 10mins for the cups to come over to our table. We ordered from the bar not on the app. When we ordered food later it was nice and came in a reasonable time.

menu not really great. but try cleaning the fryer because it was foul. portion size pathetic. enough to cook your own. because the fryer was dirty and it was burnt to charcoal I can't say anything positive

On arrival i tried to buy a pint of the Nessie’s Monster Mash when at just less than the pint the barrel was empty and I was asked to choose something else. On attempting to order Haggis and neeps was told it was off so decided on the Caledonian burger meal this also was off. As it was curry night decided on Chicken jalfrezi but again it was off so ended up having a fourth choice. All in all a disappointing experience.

Meal wasn't upto standard had better there served fish overdone mushy peas which I didn't order just a sloppy juice with no peas.

Yeah it was great. Again it's a witherspoon.. So excellent prices no wonder there was plenty of people in there... yeah loved it really good...didn't have food so can't give you 5 stars on that one

It's been a few years since we have been here and it's had a revamp. It's spotless! The food was delicious and we had amazing service from Ella. She was so helpul and really pleasant. We will definitely be coming again!
