Had a lovely meal today Sunday evening with our family! The chefs serving us were polite and happy & the food was hot & nice. Our server (kelsey) looked after us & couldn't do enough for us she was lovely. Thank you for a fab experience!

Specifically requested at the point of booking, a proper table with chairs, not bench seating for my elderly mum's mobility - we where taken to bench seating??? The restaurant very tired and carpets not clean/sticky in places. The Waterside needs updating. No attention to detail re cleaning of tables / floors etc. Service slow. The veg was well below average, over cooked and tasteless. Which had been allowed to dry out under the hot lights but the Veg was not hot at all. No attention to detail, food did not look appetising - no care taken by the Chef/cooks. Meat selection good including the Lamb and tasty. Yorkshires not the best large tasteless with soggy bottoms. £14.95 not value for money based on the low quality of food . Toby Carvery needs to do better.

Absolutely wonderful service, Kim and Bec are wonderful people, easy to talk to and very helpful. They were training a new starter called George who was very pleasant and Kim still gave 100% to her customers. Very good service from Kelsey and Alfie, attentive and smiley. Food also very good, the roast potatoes are excellent and a good selection of vegetables. All public areas were clean and well maintained. Tables were spotless. It wasn't too busy when we went but it it's still advisable to book for Sundays as this is a popular place and good value. I really like the Carr Mill Toby carvery and will definitely be going again.

Are server was Kian who was very thorough in every detail from asking are allergies down to drinks we wanted to order and the carver Echo was on fire serving up some of the best meats. Bravo to them both will be making waterside are number 1 tobys

ALWAYS brilliant Sunday lunch...such a choice of meats vegetables & potatoes so yummy & always fresh.... quality ...& so.hope reasonable priced...staff & customers are all friendly.. we luv it...if l had a moan it wud be it cud do with new deco looks tired...but situated in fantastic surroundings.well done to all staff. jx

Nice meal, we had a carvery, not a great amount of choice compared to where we usually go,but enjoyed what we had, be careful of the hot serving handles though....ouch. Nice friendly staff and atmosphere.

Went today for the first time it started with being shocked at the carver walking from the kitchen holding 2 cooked legs of lamb in the air in his hands you think they would be brought out in a tray waited 15 mins for glasses to get drinks the carvery at 12oclock the veg was cold ordered puddings sticky toffee this was a dry cold muffin we waited 25 mins for the server was just stood at top of the room we kept having to get the bar staff to help us we sent pudding back we had to get up to pay as couldn’t get the waiters attention as we were walking out asked to see a manger she refunded the carvery’s and said they were 8 staff down it would of been 1 star but we were refunded food

After being disappointed by the carvery takeaway from another venue I decided to go back to Toby Carvery and was extremely satisfied with the meals I ordered both in quality and quantity the only problem I had was that the delivery time was extended on 3 occasions but in the end was well worth waiting for.

Food cold asked if they could put it in microwave went to try this place before I go for Christmas dinner paid deposit won’t be going was awful

We thought we would try a different Toby, we normally frequent the Formby one. The selection was smaller and the mash and the mac n cheese tasted bland. Even though we arrived before service started, some of the veg was cold, despite being stored as per every other Toby we go to. We will stick to Formby Toby in future.

Ordered a carvery food cold when it arrived. Delivery driver ectremely rude. Potatoes were disgusting, rock hard and looked and tasted like they were days old. Food went in the bin. Only given 1 star as unable toeave none

I phoned Toby carvery who said that just eat DO NOT RECIEVE THE INSTRUCTIONS THAT WE PUT IN THE COMMENTS OF WHAT WE DO AND DO NOT WANT IN THE MEAL, WHAT IS THE POINT OF HAVING AN INSTRUCTION / COMMENTS SECTION IF IT DOES NOT GFT FORWARDED TO THE RESTARAUNT SO THEY DO NOT PUT ITEMS IN THE MEAL THAT PEOPLE COULD BE (ALLERGIC TO). (PLEASE CONTACT THE WATERSIDE AS THEY HAVE SAID THEY WILL REFUND ME EVEN THOUGH IT IS NOT THEY'RE FAULT IT IS JUST EAT'S FAULT AND IT IS YOUR FAULT.

I came to the toby carvery today and ordered a standard carvery which was a bargain for sheer amount of meat i got not to mention the massive yorkshires! The waitress (kim) who checked up on our food was lovely as well as all of the staff running round to suffice needs. The food came quite quickly and the food was outstanding, filled me right up! The bartender who served me drinks couldn’t of been nicer with a lovely showhost smile and a contagious laugh! I recommend the toby carvery to those in need of a cheap delicious meal and beverage!

The staff are excellent. The food can be a little hit and miss but overall good for a breakfast.

food is freezing cold and roast potatoes and yorkshire puddings are hard as rock a big let down 😭

Food arrived cold and had to contact just eat for a refund. The delivery driver came to my door and handed over the paper bag with my food in and no sign of the delivery bag that helps keep your food hot, when asked where it was he just walked away and ignored my question. Disappointing

Our server Andy was great and very helpful. The food was nice and the tables were nice and clean.

Nobody was available to calve the meat so had to do it myself. Meat was over cooked and flys was around the food so was very off putting.

Just been for breakfast served by a lovely lady called Kelsey absolutely brilliant went out of her way to look after us. First visit to this toby will deffo be back lovely view of Dam. Thank u Kelsey for wonderful service, makes all the difference.

For what you pay for is what you get. Table for 5 sunday Carvery. 80 quid = around 17 pound per head one drink. Atmosphere nonexistent staff not smiling not inviting. The big plate up grade from standard plate was the same as standard. Meat was dryed out under lights and you only get one slice of each meat.. kitchen staff no gloves or hair nets. Full busy beards open. I personally will not be eating here again. I'm a retired chef of 25 years in hospitality industry.

Not a good experience at all, opted for carvery. Firstly, there was no turkey followed by roast potatoes that were very hard and then to top it all off, the beef was literally like trying to chew through a Wellington boot needless to say I couldn't eat it. This is the second time at this Toby carvery, it will be my last.

Only come in to see Kim and bec . Excellent service.
