Nice pitstop if you have enjoyed a walk along Stokes Bay. Nice menu of pananis, sandwiches and meals with chips. We had a couple of sandwiches which came with crisps and side salad, plus a caramel shortcake. Filled a hole after an Autumn walk.

It felt that the staff were annbeind being the the food was OK. It was cold and I felt like we had intruded on them if that makes sense. One one waitresses said they had been there for years wow

I had a child's fish and chips. I sent the chips back for extra cooking. They said we have given you a fresh portion of chips. And also they returned to me a smaller portion than the first portion. They denied it ofcpursev and pretended they didn't understand. It was like talking to a dummy! So beware they don't really care and ofcourse it's very expensive

Not impressed with the service or food. The guy taking our order should attend lessons in customer service, he was rude but definitely lacking in social skills. The chips were OK but needed a few mins more cooking. The latte was only warm and went quick very quickly. We won't be returning there. We often go to Lee on Solent cafes, much better service and food.

The best fish and chips I have eaten anywhere. The rest of the menu is great with a wide choice. The views of the Island are excellent.

This is a prime location for a business on Stokes Bay seafront. The tables were not clean and the outside deck was littered with food and rubbish. The coffee was luke warm and extremely week. The majority of the staff are very young and come over disinterested. If that's the best Gosport has to offer in a location like this then the owners really need to give their head a wobble and sort it out. I would be embarrassed to bring friends here for a meet up. Seriously, do better.

Pebbles has a wine bar, outside and inside serving, WC and inside and outside seats. That's all the good points. The food and coffee was good but the queues are so long. You have to join the same queue if you want a coffee as someone in front of you ordering a number of meals all through the same hatch way. There should be a better way of taking orders

The Sauteed Chorizo in Red Wine was the best starter ever. The mains were very generous in size, especially the Prawn and Crayfish salad. The Cheesecake looked amazing but we were too full. The view was lovely, overlooking the beach. The car park is free after 7.00 p.m. with plenty of spaces. We will be going back.

I felt I had to write this review (a bit late as we went in March) as we had such a lovely experience there. We visited this restaurant specifically as we were looking for a fish restaurant and it did not disappoint. All the fish dishes were beautifully cooked, the Sea Bream was soft and flaky, the Breaded Whitebait deliciously crunchy and the Smokie fish pie pure comfort food. Absolutely loved all the fish dishes we ate and the staff were friendly too.

Great location but unfortunately we had an issue with one food item, we tried to raise our concern with the staff who were unnecessarily defensive tried to tell us that it was it edible but it wasn’t. All we wanted to do was to make them aware. The explanation offered was not only implausible but boarding on insulting.

Unfortunately arrived just before 11.30 and by the time got to front of queue they had stopped taking orders and serving food until 12. Not even a child’s lunch box pack. We sat back down and queued up again at 12! Was very disappointed to see at 12 they started bringing out lots of food for other tables. If it was possible to preorder for 12 they should have said this to us whilst we at the serving hatch. Food was nice, coronation chicken sandwich very good. Prices very high! Could not taste coffee in my mocha.

Expensive place to eat and drink, £2.80 for tea.Used to like their bowl of chips but most of the time they double dip them. They normally cook them and leave them hanging around then just give them a couple of minutes in the fryer to heat them up,the result is horrible chips. People who eat in here are normally the posh brigade from Alverstoke.

Only wanted a hot chocolate from the hatch, had to wait around 10 minutes to be served with only one family ahead of us. Staff inside larking around and joking with each other while we all waited. Seems to be no system inside for serving efficiently and definitely no idea about customer service. Disappointing.

Great location. The worst coffee in the world. Absolutely tasteless. Americano and flat white identical. Just awful in its tastelessness. I'm afraid the staff do lack a little brightness and friendliness. What a shame, a magical spot.

They boast that they serve a star sausage, infact when it arrives it looks pathetic on the plate,I'm sure it look like a sausage cut in half then fried!,ridiculously small ,I wouldn't buy again not at that price!

We pop down here from Southampton most Saturday’s for a small breakfast- never felt the staff were miserable at all, they’re quite welcoming to be fair. The menu is a little over priced however all the breakfast’s we’ve had have come out well cooked, and the coffee is wonderful.

Disappointing - small breakfast and salmon and scrabbled egg on toast. Asked for well cooked bacon. Returned when bacon still fatty and egg rock hard. So fat cut off and new egg added to plate but still very disappointing as toast just soggy mess under egg and tomato raw. Would suggest giving food a miss and just having a cuppa for the view.

Ours was a 3 generation party including my gf veggie daughter and two young grandchildren (6 and 19 months). The menu is a little expensive but very varied if you are a fish/meat eater but very poor for a veggie. I opted for a scone which was dry but edible with the butter. My daughter asked about the chips but was told that they were cooked in the same fryer as other foodstuffs so not gf. She was offered a gf sandwich but the only veggie filling was cheese - she asked for cheese and tomato but was told there was no tomato. Interestingly the salad with her sandwich had salad containing tomato. It was also covered in dressing - when she asked for confirmation that it was gf it took ages for the answer to come back from the kitchen (luckily it was). My granddaughter had a kids box meal which was acceptable. My grandson only wanted chips - they were not the best and very unusually for him he didn’t eat many. My tea was ok and my daughters hot chocolate was apparently good (although the first one had to go back as it had marshmallows which as a veggie she can’t eat and had said she didn’t want when ordering). All in all an expensive experience considering the poor quality of the food and service. I would definitely not recommend this establishment for anything other than a drink!

Two weeks running I’ve been to the kiosk for coffee and breakfast baps ! Last week the coffee machine was broken so it was chaos - waited ages - so Many members of staff inside milling about - no urgency etc ! The order tickets are not numbered so they didn’t have a clue who to serve first !!! I went again yesterday for coffee and breakfast baps at the kiosk ! Coffee came quickly -30 mins for the baps !! Not acceptable - other people in the queue were saying they were used to it - what goes on in the kitchen side !! Again masses of staff but they look chaotic in there !! Why don’t they cook sausages and bacon up front and keep warm for kiosk breakfast baps - doesn’t seem to be a manager in there directing the rest of the young staff ??? Also why don’t they have numbered tickets so they get orders done in correct order ?? Simple to me ?? Frustrating cafe as it’s in such a beautiful spot !!

The staff look like they hate all the customers, the meals are overpriced and God forbid you ask to have baked beans instead of gammon if you're veggie!!! This was my delightful meal that cost £9.50... twice now I've had terrible experience at this place. It wasnt even busy. Also no soap in the disabled toilets and if you get the table by the toilets hold your breath!! The toilets are foul. They need to employ staff who are happy to be there and not glare at customers as if we are pieces of poop..that would be nice.

This was the worst place I have eaten for a long time this was the cafe beside the pebbles restaurant . I tried to order beans on toast that was ment to be tiger sliced bread not just white sliced I kindly asked if I could have some cheese on it and some mushrooms on the side. At first the lady was rude and went no it’s not on the menu so I said can you add it as a extra at this she stomped off to ask someone else then came back and said for this and 2 teas with scrambled egg on toast with what was ment to be crispy bacon which was not and very fatty . So in the end this costs £16.50 well I could not believe it no one was cleaning around all tables were dirty and the floor they had not been open for along time either so was wondering when do they ever clean Very disappointed as a great location just the wrong people running it and cooking.

Rude waitress behind the hatch. Clearly doesn't enjoy working here. Made both me and my friend feel uneasy with her sharp tongue and replies that clearly weren't needed. Food was average yet over priced. I had ordered a 'giant fish finger ciabatta with tartare sauce' which when it arrived it came with 5 small fish fingers and no sauce. Just unpleasant. Would have been better with a different waitress taking orders! The younger staff were friendlier.

Lovely location, But food overpriced and staff rude. No people skills whatsoever! Does not hurt to smile and serve people with politeness, as you are milking every person who eats there.

We stopped by this cafe at Stokes Bay & prices were very steep for mains (close to £9 or 10 each) but there wasn't many options on the coast so we didn't have a choice. We were there just before 12 & some items were already sold out! Location is good & there are seats out in the sun. We ordered a chicken burger, gammon & eggs as well as a cranberry and brie panini. For drinks, we got a hot choc & an Earl Grey, as well as a soft drink. Then two slices - caramel shortbread & a chocolate tiffin. The hot choc was hot but the Earl Grey was lukewarm. The most dreadful cup of tea I have ever had! When the mains arrived, my heart sank & I remembered we had had an underwhelming experience when we visited last. Portions were miserable for the price. Gammon was in very thin & strange looking, grey slivers, the fried chicken piece was tinier than the size of the burger bun, chips weren't particularly tasty though they were fried fresh. The member of the party who had the panini didn't seem to have any complaints. The skinny panini was served with salad, coleslaw & crisps on the side. The best thing about the meal were the shortbread & tiffin which were very good though again very pricey at £3 a slice. The place seemed really popular but I think it was more a case of it being in a good location with no other competitors nearby. Visit for the location by the coast but best avoided if you're looking for quality food worthy of the price!

We went there for lunch as a threesome of friends We booked for the two course festive menu. The choices were excellent and it was hard to choose. We each chose differently and the meals were all lovely. They included a traditional Turkey roast, a mushroom pie and a venison pie, all with seasonal vegetables. Dessert was also varied. There was a chocolate delice that came with popcorn, a sticky toffee pudding and I had a clementine baked Alaska. This was an ice cream dessert and the Meringue was hard and crunchy unlike a true baked Alaska. But never the less very tasty with the zesty clementine. The service was lovely and prompt. The view from our table across the inlet to Portsmouth was a huge bonus. All I. All a very lovely lunch
