Ate here for the first time at the weekend. Food was delicious and portions were huge. My children are both very fussy and eating out is usually a nightmare, however the chef was very accommodating and they both cleared their plates. We'll definitely come back soon.

The main was ok, the chips could have been warmer. The dessert was awful. Yes we were pre warned there were no flakes and another member of staff came to the table and told us that the sauce would be different but £5.99 for a couple of scoops of bad ice cream and a square of rock hard brownie and a bit of squirty cream is excessive. You could at least warm the brownie so it's not all cold and hard!!! Overall it is what it is, cheap, or no so cheap processed pub food.

Firstly it’s a order at the bar restaurant but nobody tell’s you that they show you to a table and just walk away personally I think for what I’m getting the prices are to high 3 sausages mash £12 odd I’m not buying the restaurant why I had to order at the bar only they know because there were 3 members of staff just chatting while I was waiting only 2 working the bar on the plus side the food is brought to your table but not by the 3 staff chatting by yet another member of the team would I eat here again only if the majority ruled otherwise no

I had the Turkey carvery, the meat was perfectly cook and the roast potatoes where the best roast potatoes I have ever had. I was served by Adam who was friendly and helpful. It was a nice atmosphere, perfect for if you want a nice meal out with family or friends. Would definitely recommend.

Exceptional meals, consisting of carvery, mixed grill and a pie. Staff couldn't be more welcoming and friendly and chef was very chatty and had a great rapport with our son and couldn't do more for us! All the meals were lovely and hot and all the meat was juicy, tender and melt in the mouth!

A group of 5 of us, 4 adults and a teenager, visited for a meal last week. Booking in advance was a waste of time as we were kept waiting at the entrance until one of our number went in search of someone. Then we had to wait until tables were hastily pushed together to accommodate us, but then only down by the children's play area. It's not as if it was particularly busy. The food was underwhelming, except for the one of our number who had the carvery which was declared to be very good.

Went today with friends great food tasted absolutely delicious. Lovely staff made to feel welcome Would definitely recommend. Carvery is a must. Great menu choices and lush deserts

Excellent service on a quieter lunchtime, carvery was nice and hot and main meals were perfect for our small group. Lauren and Sj provided us with a very welcoming atmosphere and great service throughout. Will definitely all be bring our families and friends here.

The Atmosphere was good, but the service was shocking, missed two drinks on our first ordered,missed a starter and an item, chicken was cold and had to be returned, and item missed on one of the meals, dessert came out wrong, carvery very dry

The staff are very good but not enough of them. We came for my sons 30th birthday. It took 25 minutes to take our starter plates away. The food on the carvery was very dry, and not enjoyable. On the mixed grill the steak was over cooked and very dry, which happened to be his meal. We will not recommend as it is even worse than our last visit a year ago.

Pub was very welcoming and the ladies working were both friendly and approachable, Lauren advised us about the light bites menu and jacket potatoes which were perfect for smaller appetites like myself and friend. We will definitely be coming back as have always had a positive experience whenever dining here.

Literally the worst dining experience I've ever had. After waiting for 10 minutes for the waitress to tell us they don't have some of the starters, and then not know what orange squash/cordial is, we waited 30 minutes to retrieve our food. We ordered sirloin steaks. The highlight of the meal was a distinctly average steak for one of us, whilst the other had what appeared to be a pre chewed frying steak that had possibly suffered a horrific accident on the way from the kitchen. The staff dealt with the issue, and after taking the food away to inspect for a further 10 minutes, they issued a partial refund. The staff were polite in dealing with the issue, though they should never have allowed the food to leave the kitchen in the state it was in.

As we walked through the front door we were greeted my a tall young man. He seated us to a nice quite table. He served me with my order of food and drinks for me and my wife. The food came out quickly and the food was very nice. The pub was lovely, staff were polite and it was a perfect experience, thank you for a great experience.

My wife had the carvery she said she as had better it can be hit and miss and I had the mix grill the onion rings were small the batter was over cooked and I felt it was not worth the £16.50 due to size and quality I would of said it was worth around £10

Me and my family came in today. The staff were very friendly and plentiful so we didn't wait long at all. The place itself is very nice environment, friendly, chilled and it has some nice artwork from TV shows on the wall. I originally went in for a carvery but looking at it you could tell the food had been there a while, the beef looked like leather which some family members mentioned when eating it so I opted for the cowboy burger which was very nice, just wished I'd read it was french fries instead of proper chips. Overall it's not the worst place to eat, the food wasn't disgusting nor spectacular but I prefer other food restaurants in Gosport for slightly less money. If I'm honest I wouldn't recommend it if you asked me. I'm sorry to the staff because as I said they were lovely. Cowboy burger pictured.

Large carvery plate was huge, well worth the money. Staff were good about amendments to the kids burger with regards our son who is very particular about food. Meals were hot.

This is a really nice family pub with a great selection of pub food and carvery. I would definitely recommend stopping by here for any family occasion.

Hunter chicken was good, I felt the salted caramel cookie brownie was unexpectedly cold and that it would be better if served warm with the ice cream on top, instead of it all being cold

The food is dry and not very. Bar staff are friendly, but you can't get served because there isn't enough staff behind the bar. And over priced.

Had roast dinners, meat was so dry we couldn't chew it, stuffing was a slab, roast potatoes were meh, found a hair in my step sobs carrots. The staff were too busy to bring our drinks over (just over 15mins) we had finished our meal by the time we got them. The food was cheap but we would have paid more if the quality was better, if you can't provide a good roast carvery then take it off the menu! We won't be back..

Group of 3 went for dinner tonight, was busy that’s fine happy to wait. Was told half hour for the carvery meat to be ready, said that’s fine can the other food be bought out when that’s ready, been told that’s fine your food will all come out together. 2 meals came out, said is the carvery ready then? No carvery was not ready told be another half hour, said not good enough was offered a refund for my own food while the other 2 people with me sat and ate their food while I had nothing. Yes there was an apology but there was awful customer service! Who leaves a table of 3 people with 2 people eating and one person with no food due to their own mess up. Would not recommend at all.

We were a party of 4 adults and 4 children, we arrived early for our booking and were seated immediately despite being early, 3 adults and a child had carvery, 1 adult and 3 children ordered from the menu, we collected our carvery and the food from the menu was brought out the same time as we got back to the table so we all ate at the same time, food was delicious and enjoyed by all. Staff were very friendly and accommodating, we were made to feel very welcome and looked after. The cleanliness was impeccable from the bar to the table to the toilets. We all had a lovely time and look forward to our next visit.

We were disappointed not to be able to give our order to a human without going to the bar. Using the QR was not an option as the wine list at the table was different to the online one! We chose a white wine which was not chilled. My first food choice was not available, but the alternative was absolutely delicious.

After receiving several flyers offering a discount to return, I took the chance today after swimming to come in for lunch. The menu was good and plenty of options. The app wasn’t working for ordering but didn’t know this when we were seated. Food took a while to come and my son waited 15 minutes to be served at the bar for a drink. Food was nice actually but wouldn’t want to pay full price. I’m writing this review 10 minutes after we’ve finished eating and no one has come to clear away the plates. Not convinced the staff can handle the amount of people in here to serve.

Bit of a wait to order. Food was good, had planned on having carvery but it didn't look that good. Kids enjoyed the playground. Still fairly expensive even with a 30 percent discount. 1 sharer, one starter, 1 kids meal and 1 adult meal.

Was surprised at how good the carvery was - the beef was tender and the veg cooked really well. Came here several years ago and was disappointed, but this visit changed our minds. Will definitely be back. One star taken away as the veg replenishment could have been quicker - there were a few almost empty serving dishes. Overall, very pleased we came.

We visited here last month and had a carvery. The man on the carvery Adam was very polite and helpful the food was delicious and hot and thanks to Adam i would definitely recommend to people to visit here. We had children with us that are quite fussy eaters but Adam made them feel very important and grown up with choosing their own food and they then ate the lot. So a very big thank u to Adam for taking the time with them

I bring four of my best friends (ex work colleagues) to the sailmaker about 8 times a year also go with my partner too . The meals have been absolutely delicious the service is done with a smile and at times like last night very busy we all look forward to meeting up for dinner and few drinks all staff are happy and do a great service couldn’t not rate this pub higher enough

Sticky tables, the place stinks

Great value! Great tasting food! The carvery master(think his name was Adam) gave me one of the best tasting meals I’ve had for a while. I recommend the yorkies! Will definatley continue to keep popping in!

Experience on a whole is great, it’s been my local now for a good few years, the carvery is always on point, only negative thing I can say about the place is my luck of the draw when it comes to the pints as it seems to be bottom barrel often

Eaten here twice as staying in Premier in next door. Everything was good, food hot and fresh and a special thank you to Adam on the carvery, his customer service was exceptional. He was polite friendly and attentive, made sure everything was kept topped up and checked we had enjoyed our food.

Have eaten here everyday for both lunch and dinner for the past 10 days, the food, service and atmosphere in this place has been 5 stars. Wish my wife cooked like this at home. Highly recommended. BISH BASH BOSH GREAT BRITISH NOSH!!

It was quite busy (although at 1715 I would expect it to be) and there was a fair wait to be served. There were not enough staff. The carvery was unmanned and I had to look for someone to serve me. The food looked as if it had been under the heat lamps for some time. The stuffing was almost solid and inedible, The vegetables had a 'skin' from the heat lamps the gravy was lumpy. The roast potatoes, meat (I had turkey) and carrots were very nice and my grandson enjoyed the yorkshire pudding. One of my grandsons had a kids meal rather than a roast and he waited till I had almost finished my meal before his arrived. He did enjoy it and they also enjoyed their puddings, chocolate fudge cake and a kids sundae. I had a sticky toffee pudding which was ok.

A burned spinach pie. I complained, the staff didn’t know what to do and asked me that I wanted; aside from good quality food in the first instance I responded a complimentary dessert. This I received, but the sponge cake was more like a brick than something warranting a desert. You won’t die if you eat food here, but if you’ve got a microwave at home you’re probably just as capable of cooking terrible food.

We went for mothers day had a lovely meal and brilliant service thank you
