As locals, we had dropped our car off at Lings for a quick part replacement. We went to the Asda Café while we were waiting for the car. We had my service dog (2-year-old Labrador) with us. She was made very welcome. We couldn't eat everything on our plate, so two sausages were fed to my dog, who really enjoyed them. The seating area was clean and not overcrowded. Someone came round two or three times to collect empty trays and check empty tables were clean while we were there. Several meal deals available.

When I waited to order I heard the assistant complaining to another worker that the cook was late due to being a no show and having to be rung to come in but as we were not in a rush I ordered and had previous okay breakfasts there. My aunt wanted to stay so we ordered. I ordered a vegetarian breakfast and a side of chips for my aunt. We happily waited but when our order arrived they had put it all on one plate for 2 of us and realised the mistake bringing more chips. I moved the few chips to the side and underneath was the most disgusting breakfast I had ever seen. The sausages were rock hard the hash browns had been fried until the inside had gone and they were completely flat from all their moisture gone. The only part that I could eat was the beans and the accidental chips. I fortunately had requested no egg so how that would have come boggles the mind. I told the lady as she passed out table and showed her how dry and hard the breakfast was and agreed and replyed 'i didn't cook the sausages ' that was all she said and walked off even though she agreed how horrid it looked !! Please avoid the Great Yarmouth cafe in Asda at all cost. We shop there regularly and will never eat there again but the other week had a breakfast in Tesco and it was beautiful so we will now be eating there.

11.20am and only serving breakfast but what they don't tell you is that it's been kept warm since 7am. That's what it looked like when it was served. My fork could not penetrate the sausages they were like leather. The bacon was rock hard and the eggs just as bad. The black pudding was not there. When asked, they didn't have any. No mention when ordering though. The other order was 3 pancakes with syrup. I expected them to be cooked fresh not taken from a plastic package and microwaved but I was disappointed. The only saving grace in this disaster of a breakfast was the lovely ladies who staffed the place. They were so helpful and friendly. We'll done to them for that.

I took my boys in at 4:30 pm today 11/01/22 thinking they closed at 5pm so we would have plenty of time to order a pizza. I was informed they weren’t serving any hot food. I asked why. She rudely said she had to clean up because she was closing. I asked her what time she closed and she said 5. So again I asked then why wouldn’t I order? She had no answer. Basically, they apparently make up their own hours. When I confronted Leon The Asda manager, he informed their hours should be open until 6 but that they weren’t a part of Asda so there wasn’t much he could do. Companies are not typically allowed to just open and close whenever they feel like it yet this is not the first time this cafe has done just that. Poor poor customer service.

My family and I thought we would try the ASDA Cafe for the first time and have a full English breakfast. Well what a disappointment! The bacon and sausages were stone cold not even lukewarm, our eggs were under cooked and some of the white part was raw. The mushrooms were raw and cold, the tomatoes looked wilted and were hard and to top it all off I found a hair in my beans!! The only edible bit about the breakfast was the hash browns. I didn’t complain to a member of staff as a gentleman had already complained and the staff member was extremely rude and dismissive. We are extremely disappointed to say the least and will not be coming back or recommending to anyone, I have wasted £12 on raw horrible food.

As we were in a hurry called into Lowestoft Asda cafe for lunch. Disgusting. We all ordered jacket potatoes and all three were of good quality but cold. One with tuna and sweet corn topping which was so sloppy it could have been poured out had a peculiar taster. The Cole slaw on another potato had begun to ferment. And if you like a good coffee forget it - coffee so bitter it could'nt be drunk. We all left without eating.

We were on a shopping expedition in Lowestoft-deep joy!- and fancied a quick cheap lunch so we stopped by the ASDA Cafe. It’s all a bit “School Dinners”. You remember how the dinner ladies at school would cheerfully slip up a ladle of mashed potatoes on a plate saying, “One lump or two, ducky?”. But this place is as cheap as chips. Under £8 for a tuna mayo jacket potato with salad garnish, a cup of tea, and a soup with bread roll. I find it hard to complain at those prices. In Southwold you’d pay a tenner for just a bowl of soup, after all.it was filling, a bit on the cold side, and certainly no haute cuisine, but under £8 !!!! I won’t make a special journey to eat there. I won’t wax lyrically about my visit to friends... but for £8....it’s a bargain!

Decided to visit the café after shopping for a few items A quiche and a Luna caught my eye and sounded really nice and decided to get them along with an Americano Well the coffee was Sub-standard and the quiche well where do I start. The crust was so flaky that some of it had fallen off before it had gotten to me after heating it then cut into it to find the bottom was so soggy it was ridiculous and to top it off it was so bland. The only good thing was the Luna but even that wasn’t that good. Overall it was a waste of my £10

I couldnt eat it, i brought my friends here, cause their came over for the day. I was ashamed. My friends dinner was much good either, had jacket potato one with beans and my other friend had chilli. The jacket potatoes were hot but beans and chilli arrived cold. We send them all back, even getting a refund was a major problem, their had to call duty manager to give us a refund. We were maded to feel it was a big deal giving us our money back.

Whilst shopping here on a recent stay in Lowestoft we stopped for a drink and snack with the kids. Typical supermarket cafe fare. Hot drinks, reasonably priced snacks and the situation next to the river was nice. The cafe is airy and open and it was quiet when we visited and the service was good. Well worth a stop.

Shopped at Asda went into their café again, service was abysmal, staff could not care went off to do other things whilst on the counter, only three people there who did not really have a clue. Asked for a sausage bap, arrived just two whole sausages stuffed in an unbuttered roll, A cheese and onion toastie arrived devoid of onion and very little cheese so disgusting it was left. Never again. Not enough staff, overpriced and inedible food. Never again

visited the cafe as a fly by meal an route to holiday. first impressions, lack of acknowledgement from staff. no smiles, hello etc. staff also looked very unhappy. ordered 4 main meals. on to the eating area. lots of tables, good layout but filthy. food all over the floor. not upkept at all. tables dirty, cutlery dirty. on to food. the food arrived about 3 minutes after we ordered with microwave kids on. which made it clear it wasn't fresh, didn't taste great either. i have been in other supermarket cafes before and been very impressed. felt really let down by this one. i wouldn't return to eat in this cafe again. although the store is a good store. i expected more to be honest. it did only cost £17 to feed 4 of us but wish I'd eaten somewhere else now.

Compared to other supermarket cafe's (for example Tesco, Morrisons or even Sainsburys) we found Asda expensive and to be honest poor quality. The tea is a cup of water with a tea bag in that seemed to have scum floating on it , the bacon roll was about two and a half to three inches across and had two small pieces of chewy bacon in it hat were far smaller than the roll. There seem to be a lot of positive comments about Asda Lowestoft on Tripadvisor, perhaps we were there on a bad day but you can only speak as you find. The view is great.

Visited with the children, and was very pleasantly surprised by the taste of the food for the price paid! The service was excellent, and the friendly, amenable Chef was happy to 'tweak' the menu to the 3-year olds' specific requirements! My daughter was very impressed with her curry, and I was pleased with my beef-and-ale pie .The childrens' menu wasn't bad either ; since it was all merrily consumed! The day we visited, there were only a few people in the restaurant; and maybe this was advantageous to us, as we were made to feel personally welcomed.

We were looking for somewhere to have lunch as we were having a boat trip on the Wavely. Found this place. Well the first thing that greeted you was the smell of chip fat. We did not know the area and time was short, we went in and ordered two jacket potatoes (good quality potatoes however Luke warm on arrival, I also ordered a tea and a black coffee with milk on the side(a simple enough drink), however when it came it was a shot of coffee and a jug of milk I took it back and asked for it to be filled up with HOT water, this again was tepid. by now I had given up. (I will give the girl the benefit of the doubt with Black coffee) perhaps I should have said Americano. Last but not least I asked how much the cake cost (which looked as if it had been in the display containers for a long time) by the time it was passed to three of the youngsters (from me to you a bit like the Chuckle Brothers)!! I gave up. A place I certainly would not recommend.

6 of us dropped in for a drink after the cinema at 22.05 today . Totally deserted except for one customer at the bar. Waited over 5 minutes before the customer offered to find the bar staff. Empty glasses on bar and tables so obviously work to do but no staff. Young lady eventually appeared and promptly said we've finished serving. No apology. I am amazed bars can afford to turn away 6 customers let alone without an apology. Also strange on 2nd July to read Christmas menus displayed around the walls. No idea if these are very early for this year or left up from last year? I've worked in hospitality much of my life and the golden rule is 'never turn away a paying customer' Unfortunately a no stars review wasn't an option. Very disappointing.

This could be a gem of a pub. Fantastic location & looks great from the outside. The beer was ok but not great. The red wine was awful. The toilets are so tired & by the looks of the dust in the corners of the cubicles, haven’t been properly cleaned for a while. Overall disappointing & there are much nicer pubs nearby.
