Absolutely appalling. Ordered two standard cooked dinner, not small dinner's. We were served 3 tiny potatoes. To pay £9.95 for a dinner that small is a rip off. Barley any gravy. The women who served us was mid 50s. Didn't look, ask what veg nothing. Just served the smallest plate of dinner. I was actually embarrassed, it was the size of a starter on a sit down meal. She doesn't own the cafe so why serve the portion so small. Do not order the cooked dinner. Shouldn't be allowed to serve a dinner that size. Two women behind ordered the small dinner and had the same amount as us. Never will return. Should refund.

I've just moved into the area so new to this pub but I do love a weatherspoons. This one is OK for a drink, staff are polite and friendly and the atmosphere is good. The only downside is the food. They need a new cook. I have ordered about 6 times and 5 times it's been awful. I think the chips are reheated, they are burnt and dried out. The rest of the food has been awful too. I've Decided not to eat here anymore not worth the risk. May I suggest they take some lessons from the Mossy Well in Muswell Hill, London. Their food is always good. The mary shelley and the moon in the square are a lot better too. Hope there is improvement soon as would like to eat in my local weatherspoons.

Spur of the moment stop , and ended up staying in one of the garden chalets . Home from home great little character pub with the warmest of welcomes from Martin and Deb , they even let us eat our Indian take away using their plates and cutlery , we’ll be returning for the Halloween party on the 29th . Absolutely incredible night with the Secret Supper Society for my birthday. Jules has been wonderful to deal with right from my first enquiry. The food was absolutely incredible. Clean plates all round. Amazing flavours with good size portions. Jules and her team were the perfect balance of attentive whilst leaving us alone to enjoy the meal in the beautiful dining room. We'll definitely be back!

Ordered individual items for all day breakfast because l don't like eggs or hashbrowns. 2 sausages, 2 bacon rashers (tasteless), one medium-sized mushroom (mushrooms requested when placing order), baked beans and two slices brown toast with a medium latte; £12.50 - extortionate for what l received. In another well known establishment l got a breakfast and refillable hot drink for under £5. Albeit a small breakfast but their large is under £9. They are not part of a supermarket either. Plus everything tasted as expected unlike Tesco, Barkingside breakfast. Shame on you Tesco, Barkingside.

Pay now OR £100 FINE... as we can't give reg to bar staff! 100% entrapment as there are no closed signs nothing!! Looks open from our direction!! Shocking. Took video ... NO CLOSED SIGNS just bollards enticing you in on the pavement!

Visited here with friend during october half term week at lunchtime. When we arrived spoke to someone at the bar who said to sit anywhere. After settling ourselves at a table we went up to order a carvery each, which has always been available in the past at lunchtimes during school holidays when we have come. Only to be told no carvery til the evening. For an establishment that is known predominantly for being a carvery to not be serving it at lunchtime especially as it was the school half term and pretty busy made no sense. Also we weren’t informed the carvery was not available when we arrived, neither was there a sign outside to inform customers. We checked on leaving. Just having the roasted meats out for the evening service must be wastful as on a midweek day I can’t imagine the footfall is much more than the daytime was on that day. Although only having the dearer menu options at lunchtime might be better for your business it’s not for the customer. A sandwich or jacket potato & topping nearly the same price as a small plate carvery is not good value at all! I was also disappointed that my email to yourselves was never responded to regarding no carvery available ( & gave you over a week to respond) so I have written a review for all to read instead!

Really tasty food and friendly staff. Lily served us today and was great, as were the other staff members whom we spoke to during our visit. The food was excellent and the portion sizes generous. We had 2 lamb roasts and 1 veggie roast. The 3 of us really enjoyed our dinner and would have no hesitation in recommending the Minnis to anyone.
