Ordered individual items for all day breakfast because l don't like eggs or hashbrowns. 2 sausages, 2 bacon rashers (tasteless), one medium-sized mushroom (mushrooms requested when placing order), baked beans and two slices brown toast with a medium latte; £12.50 - extortionate for what l received. In another well known establishment l got a breakfast and refillable hot drink for under £5. Albeit a small breakfast but their large is under £9. They are not part of a supermarket either. Plus everything tasted as expected unlike Tesco, Barkingside breakfast. Shame on you Tesco, Barkingside.

The manager here is nasty and very unhelpful. I feel so sorry for the friendly staff that have to work here.

Nice people serving and good food

There was no hot food being served shut the kitchen at 12.50 said I could only have what was on the counter which was just cake. Very disappointed my friend was told they where only doing toastie but agreed to do a panini . I got there 10 minute after and she said they had stopped selling hot food there had to be a cut off point. My friend went to go and couldn’t get her trolley out as they had put chairs in the way to stop people coming in. The cafe has gone down hill since it’s been taken over.

I love this place. The coffee tastes the best I've had. Food it good value for money and the staff make me feel welcome

Had breakfast many times at this Tesco went there today 5-5-23 it was disgusting the bacon was like it had been boiled I can only think it was cooked a while and stored in hot water the sausage was anemic barely cooked the egg was rock hard no tomatoes as usually comes with the breakfast hash browns over cooked ate half and left the rest won’t be having breakfast there again waste of my time and money went to a cafe when I left no happy

Horrible store now. No greeting from Veena or bye at the checkout. Carol was complaining at till self checkouts because a customer had a basket - checkouts were empty so use some common sense staff! You should be getting customers out and have an easy shopping experience. The lady with dark hair and no name badge is cold and unhelpful. Security guards are just there for the sake of it and not able to assist. Tesco - listen and act! Staff training needed The Manager can step up! And Head Office!

Terrible experience: long queue, I waited 45 minutes for my lunch, a cold toast and a cold jacket potato. The staff dont look happy, they don't smile, the furniture looks old and it is messy.

Very understaffed took 1 hour and 20 mins to queue and have our food at the table. Wont be going again

Food was OK, nothing brilliant. Also can't use Tesco pay+ in the cafe.

We arrived early for our appointment in Ilford after a long drive. Wishing to "freshen up" I Googled for the nearest Tesco and this was within one mile. Google took us to a cul-de-sac adjacent to the car park so we abandoned the car and walked the rest of the way. First stop had to be the toilets and whilst I had no issues whatsoever with the gents my friend had not such a pleasant experience in the ladies. In her opinion, it had not seen a cleaner for some time, there was no paper in the toilet roll dispensers and the room smelt strongly of stale urine. This, in my experience as an industrial cleaner, is unusual. The Cafe was busy with nearly every table taken up. I sent my friend off to secure what turned out to be the only available one whilst I waited to order. It was about 1.40 in the afternoon so I imagine we were in for the last knockings of lunchtime. There was one customer in front of me and the gentleman who was serving her appeared to be having issues with the till with much barcode scanning and rustling of papers. Eventually, he managed to sort her and sent her to her table with her order flag. He then apologised to me for the delay and to be honest I was expecting him to take my order at this point but it wasn't to be. There was more scanning and rustling to be done. Anyway, after a further wait and apology my order was taken. We had decided on jacket potatoes because you can't go wrong with those can you. I paid my money, was given my flag and went to my seat to await our drinks and food. Whilst we sat and chatted, others were brought their food and all seemed to tuck in happily. Gradually, people left and very few further customers arrived. After fifteen or so minutes we were wondering how long it takes to prepare a cappuccino and a cup of hot water when finally they arrived. My friend didn't manage to drink the water as it tasted odd. Perhaps being from Norfolk, we were not used to the taste of Essex ale. My coffee was fine. More than half an hour passed in this not busy restaurant before our potatoes finally arrived. Now If this report was just about food, I feel they would well have rated higher but it has to be about the whole experience of the venue in my opinion. The potatoes were served on hot plates which would normally have been perfectly normal but those plates also carried a side salad which clearly suffered from being gently warmed before service. No one wants warm limp stuff do they? OK if you're a salad dodger but I need my five a day. My friend's potato was filled with a generous serving of tuna mayonnaise and spring onion which was very tasty whilst I had my old favourite of cheese and beans. Neither of us could fault the potatoes. Now I should normally close this review here but, as I said, it's also about the experience. Throughout our time in the Cafe, no real attempt was made to clear the tables as people left. There were three serving staff, all were polite although I do feel personally that the wearing of jeans by two of them was inappropriate. From twenty minutes in, there was not one single table clean and ready for customers. There was a young gentleman server who appeared only to have been trained to remove sauce bottles and order flags from vacated tables although I did see him take one tray of dirties from a table but perhaps he was just being sneaky. I did not witness the elder gentleman clearing any tables but clearly the customers appreciated his bedside manner. This left the lady server to tidy up the rest. However, she only appeared to clear tables as a form of damage limitation once new customers had sat down and asked for it so she would then clear and spray and wipe whilst the customers sat with their arms up. This only happened two or three times as many more customers finished and left rather than arriving. As she walked away from one table a knife fell off her tray, another server dodged it and there it lay when we left. At one stage she pushed a big tray clearing trolley to the opposite end of the Cafe but once she had put three loaded trays on it, she was sidetracked by something else and never seen again. No one gave the impression of being in charge but if I was responsible for the "Customer Experience" at Tesco I would be falling on my sword right now. I'm enclosing photos which do not flatter and a copy of my bill on which you will see I was served a meal by weight. I guess the more health concious of us would find this rather useful.

The cafe was not busy but the dish washer was broken so they served on paper plates with plastic knives and forks....blaaaa! The bacon was over cooked not crispy just tough and fatty. The coffee was good serve exactly as requested. Service was good but food a let down.

Well what a nice place, lots of seating, very clean, I thought they had finished cooking as everything was so clean. I was greeting by a young woman who was super helpful and very polite, I asked if they were serving breakfast (it was nearly 3pm!) and yes this was not a problem. Cooked quickly and very well, not greasy, best Tesco cafe I have used. So a special thanks to the girl that served me, if only all shops could have such happy friendly staff!

Came in here for some food just before work didnt have what i asked for which is ok so got chicken and ???? Still not sure what is supposed to be lady serving very friendly and helpful foods arrived within less than 10 minutes first thing I noticed the girl serving the food no hats or hair net even though she has a long coloured hair just plants the food down on the table and walked off though the chicken pie there is peas and mash with a tub of gravy the mash was very hard not really warm the peas were nice they were warm the chicken pie was freezing cold in some places even felt to be. Frozen next to the girl with walking out the kitchen he's obviously been outside for some reason come back in straight away she's can see through the serving hatch and she's talking to another member of staff the 2nd member of staff leaves the kitchen serving food leaving this young lady to help herself to something to eat off the side without washing her hands still in civilian clothing i will not be eating in here again .

Head Office are finally allowing Trevor to broaden the repertoire which will, hopefully, match the excellent service. New steak and mushroom pie is welcome addition.

not the best range/choice of food but the food always taste nice & the staff are very friendly & have good worth ethic especially the manager

descusting breakfast this morning that bad couldnt eat it!! asked for money the actual manager was totally unhelpful no sorry!! just we will give u money back!! never again and been coming tesco caff for a long time!!! eggs were heated up! descusting wouldnt feed that type food to my dog!!!

tesco is a good place to shop because everyone is friendly and staff are very helpful and you are helped by the staff they have great customer service and they are not rude and prices are reasonably cheap my advice is check tesco out kim

I had a simple breakfast and coffee. It was served fresh and tasty. Great staff who were pleasant, friendly and polite.

Rude "stupid" staff can't fill a simple order and then when they did they rip you off with the price and to top it off the taste was strange! Avoid at all costs! Shame I had to rate 1 circle as should be -5

Vende combos de comida como saladas, massas e sobremesas por apenas 3 libras. o TESCO CAFE é um excelente escolha para qualquer hora do dia.

Called into this Tesco store on the chance they had a cafe serving breakfast. What a surprise I got, plenty of seating, clean and tidy. A counter assistant with a smile and helpful. Hot fresh breakfast and the sausages are of quality, taste excellent. Well worth a visit if you are in the area, plenty of parking, even for a larger van.
